At age 26, I am finally starting college. I'll major in English Literature. Your channel is so cozy and inspiring and I'm glad for all of the kindred spirits here.
Ode to Autumn by Keats is a beautiful autumnal poem to learn, write out and illustrate if someone is bored. You could also create an autumnal collage to go with it, make it into a bookmark or pop it in a frame. Or you can use it as a prompt in your journal-write about how you remember a beautiful autumnal day, what elements are standout moments and what autumn can teach us as a season. Finally, you could set up a Pinterest board to collect autumnal images and poetry. Have fun!
You are spot-on suggesting writing out quotes and putting them in conspicuous places to reread them! There are so many good suggestions in this video for those of us who like privacy but are not anti-social. “If I can stop one heart from breaking, I shall not live in vain.” ― Emily Dickinson
It’s so refreshing to see another unique beautiful person being themselves and unafraid to be different. I have adhd and autism and love and crave time alone in my own little world fully submerged in my special interests. Your channel is such a safe and healing space, especially for those of us who are different to most ❤
This was so interesting to print out your own recipe book, write poems, and also read a book in the morning while walking out in the country. I watched 'The Pride and Prejudice' with Keira Knightley twice and it was a very good movie.
I started making my own notebooks. I‘ve created some as travel journals and I used an AI to design the cover picture for me. It‘s always something I want to experience during my travel and so far this positive manifestation has worked. We were finally able to see the northern lights this year. 🌌
My favourite poem: I shall be telling this with a sigh Somewhere ages and ages hence Two roads diverged in a wood, and I I took the one less traveled by And that has made all the difference✨
the road not taken by frost. I love it too… if you liked this poem, just asking like there can be two different ways the author ends this with. I interpreted that he was kinda happy with his decision and the” sigh” was actually a sigh of relief but it can also be like a sigh of regret. What’d you think? Share your thoughts.😊
@@SanveeRoshan yeah that's something to think about but I believe that he's happy with the decision. Because in this world not many are on the right path, so the wrong road will be the one where more people travel by. And so the one less traveled by will be the right path (I am sorry if that doesn't make sense).
"I really encourage you to just wear a beautiful long dress and take a book outside on a morning walk" I'm usually a jeans and T-shirt man, but I'll give it a go.🙂

I'm finishing my masters by december so I will be tucked away working on my final paper. Enjoy the rest of your week Ruby :)
Could you please list some of your favorite books of poetry. A blog post explaining why you love them would be a nice addition to your website, too. Thanks!
How in the world do you have so many books that are all the same height. My bookshelf looks like a mountain range and yours is a prairie with one or two tiny hills in it.
I've just stumbled across this video and it's like a representation of a love of reading, of words in the purest way. It's really hard to describe but I found it very Cozy and comforting and homey, some beautiful ideas and inspiration here ♡ thank you xxx
Hi, Ruby! I hope you read this. I'm a VERY big fan of yours I've watched every single video and I just wanted to say that I find you very inspiring and I get so excited when you post a new video.
Hi, Ruby. Loved the video. These are really fun ways to spend some bored times. Spending hours and hours on TikTok or watching movies is not the way to go every time one is bored. Btw, I saw that you sell the Helium balloons anthology and would love to buy a copy. They just don't ship to my country. Is there any way to perhaps get copies shipped internationally?
The timing couldn't have been better. I returned back to the city where i work today, leaving home yet again and the homesickness and blues have been hitting hard. Your content is the hug i needed rn❤
once i wanted to decorate the first page of my journal, but wasn't sure. in the end i tore out my favourite quotes that i had written down in miscellaneous places and stuck them on the page with some stickers and washi tape. it might be messy, but it makes me really happy when i look at it so it was a success, i'd say!
This content is just lovely. I have never been a person that enjoyed reading. Maybe cus I have been forced but I feel like you really show me how much joy reading could be and how much fun it is. It still a commitment for me but Its a lot easier for me now. I dont like to read the classic I am more into aviation and aviation literature and I really want to try out some things of this video. Lovely greeting from Switzerland
Oh cool, what do you mean by aviation literature? Books about flying or pilots? Do you prefer fiction or non-fiction? You should definitely read what interests you, that's the best way of finding books you really enjoy :). Biographies of people you admire can be a great place to start (my husband wanted to read more, so we got him a book about the founder of Amazon haha).
@@Ginatus i enjoy both but at the moment I am writing my own book about swissair so I am reading a lot of books speaking about it. Some are pilots stories some are just non fiction

Ruby- the part about painting over the cover of a book made me think of a video where someone was re-binding a book with a custom cover made using a cricut machine. If it interests you, I would love to see you create a custom cover for one of your favourite books! 😀
I agree with you but for some people the idea of painting on a book cover could be considered vandalism. I don’t agree with that logic but if she owns a book and that is something she wants to do understanding what it means then who are we to judge?
when i saw you take "the perks of being a wallflower" by Stephen Chbosky i literally shook my hands in the air because i LOVE that book so so much ToT it made me really happy
What lovely idead you have, thank u!it's so refreshing to see some new original ideas that everyone can actually do,I also just subscribed,I'll love to watch more videos from you!💞💞
I have a full-time job but I like to relax by writing books. I've written 5 in the past 8 years and it's also a great way to have a second income as well as doing something enjoyable. When I was younger I memorised about 50% of the Oxford Book of English Verse, it's a fantastic way to keep your brain occupied
Comment 31 I’ve been obsessed with your videos and bored with life you make so many peoples life happier and brighter hope your taking care of yourselves
My two favorite poems so far is "Nothing Gold Can Stay" by Robert Frost ("The Outsiders" anyone?) And "El Dorado" by Edgar Allen Poe (James Caan's character Mississippi recites it throughout the John Wayne movie "El Dorado")
Here is it simplified. If your bookshelf represented you, someone could easily see by looking at the books displayed on your bookshelf what you like to read and who you are what books would you get rid of? Use this to figure out which books are less valuable and then narrow that down to which book you can get rid of. Your bookshelf does not need to represent you 100% but rather if there’s anything you have not read in over six months, anything you are not interested anymore that have no value, or anything you do not remember what it is about and will not read again are all great ideas to get rid of. You could always store some books away in a box for a week somewhere you do not go often and if you do not think of it in that time use that value booklet to figure out they are not as meaningful. Getting rid of books can be extremely challenging but hopefully these questions and ideas will help you. Also I am legally blind
A few more ideas. Be a character for a day. Select a book character and even if you are just going on a walk or spending the day at home be them. Act like them, do anything they would do, and just have fun with it. This is fun pretend to be a perfect spouse for character. Choose a character and think about what they would want from a partner. Then try to be that person, similar to the last idea but a little bit different. Finally, try to reference books in day-to-day life. Look at the world around you, look at the Internet, and try to reference books. This might be a little bit more dark academia related than any other ideas on my list but it still can be quite fun and creative. Hope you find something on this extra list of ideas that can be interesting. Have a great day
