Gomis Mta, which translates to "Gomi Mountain," is a small village perched atop a mountain, featuring a mix of cottages, summer houses, and a few farmhouses. Located in the mountainous region of Guria (Ozurgeti district) within the Bzhuzha River Gorge at an elevation of 2100 meters above sea level, it's a place rich in pine groves, mineral springs, and a healing climate. Nearby, at an elevation of 2500 meters, lies the mountain lake Chincho.
This area has great potential as a future resort. During winter, the mountains are blanketed in fluffy snow, while in summer, the cool mountain climate offers a respite from the heat of Adjara and the hustle and bustle of coastal resorts. Local authorities plan to develop the area with improved infrastructure, a new road, and the possibility of a cable car connecting Gomis Mta with the seaside resorts of Guria.
Currently, Gomis Mta remains a simple village, with small wooden houses scattered across the mountain slopes. The local residents live a humble life, engaged in animal husbandry and producing incredible cheese. The village has minimal modern conveniences, with no electricity, outdoor toilets and washbasins, and limited cell phone coverage. Despite this, the charm of Gomis Mta lies in its simplicity, where evenings are spent by candlelight, around campfires, and in endless conversations, creating a sense of being among close relatives.

The road is good, but there is a very long and steep climb. Unfortunately, we don't know anything about another road. It's good for you to go there.
