@PhilbruProduction Thank you! It was my first time with a new tripod, which was supposed to reduce "sticking" during pans. I think (hope) I am through the "learning curve" with this tripod, and it should help me next time. Mark
@WoelkerVideo Thank you! I really appreciate your comment - you have so many great videos! Such as "01 202, 50 3673 in Lyss (Schweiz)" - what an engine! Mark
I thought that was you! I checked out your long video before work this morning and I was almost late! You got some great stuff with that camera! Really nice work - the pacing of Robert Dollar is awesome! I'll get to your other videos - trust me..
I really like the smoke coming from the caboose chimney in the shot of it going over the bridge. (It sure LOOKS like there's a fire going in there anyways.) Great video! I love to see smaller steam engines (as well as the big ones), and you can't beat an old SD unit in Black Widow.
i have this exact engine in ho scale..same # and everything..its my only SP black widow..awesome video..i think this is the first time i've seen it run
@Metracab123 Hello! Thank you for the kind comments. This was shot with a simple Kodak Zi8. Some of the previous videos were shot with the Zi8 and a Flip Ultra HD. Sadly, the Flip was hit with the SP2472 and took two tripod falls after that. (It did not survive the 3rd fall.) Merry Christmas & Happy New Year to you and your family!
Excellent video. Added to my favorites.
I haven't seen these ALCo Coffeepot Steamers for a few years. Great looking EMD SD9.
Beautiful coverage!!!
According to a book I have on SP cabooses, 1101 was built in 1942!! Wow a true survivor!
The SP Black Widow SD9 was the coolest looking Locomotive ever !!!!
Glad you liked it! If it runs again I'll be sure to post it.
I know I'm late to the party, but this was a great video, I love the SD9.
Late here, too. I remember watching SP SD9s in The Bay Area as a kid. I love those old Cadillacs!
Thank you Mark. Great video. The Robert Dollar # 3 is beautiful and superbly maintained. Bravo for the shooting. Regards.

Wonderful. I usually prefer turboed locomotives, but this chug and smoke from this SD 9 was great!

OK it IS a little bumpy with the new tripod but still... What a great shot. Now if we could only get the damn cars off the road....
Roots Blower type Super Charger
Love that whine from the Roots blower 👍

AH YES, I had a Lionel Command Control locomotive just like this SD9. Same paint scheme minus the red/orange stripe near the bottom of the walkway!
Robert dollar 3 front reminds me on the cannonball express from the tv show casey jones
Excellent video.
Stunning mate. Well done. Are there any SD9s sill in service anywhere?
Thanks again
Marty
