    What part of the video provides info for the viewer to learn HOW to do this themselves. The title of the video starts with HOW TO but it doesn’t show HOW TO. It just shows that it being done with no specifics.

    problem is in order too do this you already need a source of water like another well and i imagine it would be hard to get a water truck to more remote areas

    cant believe how easy that was , we are expecting to spend about 2 thousand euro to get ours done in Latvia but that will be a 3ft diameter well.... truck dug and price will depend on depth , great job on water for your home , hope ye made a nice cuppa with that boiled water .

      i drilled mine for free, i found some metal poles, hammered them 5m into the ground then angle grinded some slits into pvc pipe, then rammed that into the ground, hooked my pump to it and free water, was amazing and only took about 3-4 hours to do with a hammer

    Hello, I think I would have benefited with a step by step guide to this procedure. Can it be repeated or if there is someone out there who understands what has been done here explain it again. Thank you

    Most people aren't so lucky with having water 10 ft. I had to go 90 ft deep and I had a creek running right through the property

    This appears to be south Florida...the only place I know... where you can get water at 10 feet.

    Very cool. Hi Kevin. Wood this methode work well with clay ground?

    • @KevinCoyaselfreliantlife
      @KevinCoyaselfreliantlife  5 років тому

      I would say you need to use a sand point on harder ground. you can pound them in.

  • @12vLife

    your links no longer work. What state you in? where is your water source while you are jet drilling? Is that trash pump? How many H/P? Is that included in the $350 estimate? I can't see where the sand while drilling is going?

    • @KevinCoyaselfreliantlife
      @KevinCoyaselfreliantlife  4 роки тому

      I paid a plumber to do this. He brought a truck with a water tank and a pump. The price was all-inclusive the sand gets displaced by the water. I don't know what the h/p was. A couple of links are broken. Thank you for letting me know.

      We filled the 100 gal tank on the rv with a barrel and a pump from the neighbors hose.

    That is a cool way to get some water going. How do you determine where the water table is and would this technique work at a deeper level? Maybe 30 or 40 feet.

    • @KevinCoyaselfreliantlife
      @KevinCoyaselfreliantlife  8 років тому +1

      +David Day You can check the county well logs in your area or talk to local drillers . You can go deeper your pump requirements may change. Switching over to a hard pipe and pounding it in may be an option.

      +David Day I just bought some land, and my dad suggested giving dowsing rods a try (there are no public records of a well on my land; there also isn't record of a septic tank, but I've located the entrance to it on my land, so I know it's possible there are also wells that were never recorded officially).
      Anyway, my dad said dowsing is what folks used to do all the time where he grew up in the rural south. I felt silly doing it, but I gave it a shot. I was given several potential well sites. This is sorta creepy, but I even asked questions about the estimated depths and widths, and the rods gave answers. I've yet to find out if it's true (I have other things to get set up first, but hope to have an established well by the end of summer). According to lots of people, though, it works. So far, things I've asked that could instantly be verified have all been accurate.
      I also asked the dowsing rods to help me locate any buried metals, and within seconds, it took me to a spot. My husband and I started digging, and lo and behold, there was a tractor disc buried about six inches down. My hubby started singing the tune to The Twilight Zone. Lol!

      Kevin Coy another way is to go to local college geology department. Someone there has studied the local geology and can tell you all sorts of cool things, like do you have a possibility of precious/semi-precious minerals or stones; probable water depth range; chance of a sinkhole developing in your neighborhood; caves........

      @@RosyRach dowsing rods are bullshit. its called a water table for a reason. its everywhere. only reason for a dry well is poor soil perc.

    10 feet ? is that just surface water , no sealing around the well .

    • @KevinCoyaselfreliantlife

      The water table is high here we went down 20 feet but the static pressure is at 10 feet passed the water potability test tastes good.
