PBS is facilitating the problem. More open conversations is what is needed. Allowing politicians to prep more, and hide from the people, that is the problem. We should return to long form debates. Such as, what is your position on x, and why? You now have 20 minutes to answer, and 20 minutes to respond to your opponents answer. They need to get away from scripted talking points. That’s why Kari is so popular, she will take any question, at any time. Hobbs is clearly a fool or disingenuous. Those are the only reasons not to want to go on record.
