      Thanks Nick! Turns out to be a '94 mexican tele with fender noiseless pickups installed. Got it for only $300, seems like a deal to me!

    Hey Ryan, thanks for going through this on the live stream Sunday. This was the first song I tried to play when I first picked up a guitar in 2002 so it has good memories for me. I think I took two or three lessons and played every once in a while for years. This January I started taking weekly lessons and I've stayed dialed in with practicing the guitar all year so far. Your videos get me excited to learn to play a lot of my favorite songs. You make it fun and easy to learn and I appreciate that.

      it's a privilege Scott, thank you for being a positive and active voice here :) How did I do Sunday vs. what it really turned out to be?

      You nailed it. As best I can tell the only thing different was the guitar you were playing. I love playing those quick bursts of notes in between chords. It makes the song more fun.

    Nice job Ryan - love your style of teaching! A great underplayed PJ song - saw them crush it live at Fenway last summer. BTW - still waiting for you to do Thumbing my way! Lol

      that guitar has fender noiseless pickups in it (which i love) and i'm playing through my blues jr. with no working reverb. the no working reverb part is crucial to the sound.

    Legit lesson but your audio is getting worse!!!!!!! What do you record on? A phone?

    • @RyanLendt
      @RyanLendt  7 років тому

      Haha I just love your feedback Junior :) Yeah I thought I'd try it on the phone vs the iPad because I think my phone has a better camera than the iPad... what would you suggest?

    • @juniorsguitarranch6368
      @juniorsguitarranch6368 7 років тому +1

      Yeah I am pretty straight forward. Honestly still working on recording setup for my channel. I used my Canon Vixia HFS20 camcorder with a Canon shotgun mic and I thought it sounded just as good as using a mic and mixing board setup. I have not used the mixer a lot though to record guitar, it was my old podcast setup. Funny thing is people don't seem to care really on your videos, we learn the song regardless of the audio quality.

    • @RyanLendt
      @RyanLendt  7 років тому

      Yeah, thinking about getting a nicer setup is certainly in the back of my mind, but it seems to be getting the job done as is, so I shall defer for a while longer :) thanks for the recommendation!

    • @juniorsguitarranch6368
      @juniorsguitarranch6368 7 років тому

      Doesn't your amp on my left, your right have a USB output for recording? Then again maybe just keep it ghetto recording and sound quality and when you have like a million subscribers people will be like "damn he has the most ghetto sound but the biggest lesson channel on youtube!" lol Don't think it matters either way since we learn from your vids and they are pretty entertaining too. P.S.....don't become a Patreon beggar like all the other channels, everyone hates that crap.
