- NEW UPDATES 2024 ADOBE CAMERA RAW VER. 16. We have two new major additions to ACR Lens Blur and Point Color. Lens Blur is the most useful of the new options in the raw converter. Lens Blur creates a depth mask and allows you to blur your image according to that mask. Point color lets you select a specific color and adjust that color or a range of colors.

I love how you changes the order of light and color, but when you said hit cmd, cmd and what? When I go to lens blur, not colors show in my Focal Range, so it does not work properly; any ideas?
If you want the Geometry function click on the Crop tool first. Then you will see the Crop tool, the Flip function, and Geometry.
Thank you for this! I'm also not a fan of these updates.... Not able to find how to correct wide angle lens distortion. Very frustrating!!
Have you an idea where that is located on the new setup? Thank you!
Optics and Geometry are still there.
Yes! I see Geometry, but don’t see Optics or specifically a way to correct wide angle lens distortion. Is that located somewhere else now? Thank you!
No Optics is is above the news lens blur. Both will give you some options. Photoshop also has the ability to fix it also under Filter/Lenscorrection
Thank you so much. I am so used to doing it in Camera Raw. I will look there. Thanks again!

Seems Adobe are bloating what was a very fast, slick editor. Lots of sports snappers use this editor including myself. I regret the upgrade and should have stayed with the previous version.
How do I get back to ACR BASIC settings? I hate this update.
Most Adobe applications you can go back to previous versions on the cloud.
Thank you for the updates. I prefer using Adobe Camera Raw over Lightroom. Not everyone may agree but that is just me! What recording software are you using for the mouse focus enhancements? I would love to do that on my videos for my students.
It is a mac app called Cursor Pro.
Thanks. I record on a PC but will look into something similar.

is anyone having problems in windows not being able to open a raw Image into photoshop i have no open or cancel button
I use mac. I would contact adobe. There are so many variables in causing conflicts.
@@Jcwphoto thanks tried that they just told me to roll back to version 14.5
Where is the dehaze slider??
Under effects in Adobe Camera Raw
Why is it showing all the HDR colours in camera raw and it doesn't when I open it in photoshop?
It is hard to say without seeing it probably because bit is opening and in 8or 16 bit. It is more of a gimmick. If you want hdr i would use the merge to hdr pro.
Also if you convert to a color profile it might not support those colors
I am not a fan of this update. I have to have 2 or 3 panels open to have the same environment as in the old interface and it is less intuitive and less productive. This looks like changes made only to make changes, not to improve the interface. I have been developing software for close to 30 years and interface changes have to be extremely well thought out and planned and be an improvement over the old one. This is not an improvement for users!
I FLIPPING HATE THIS STUPID NEW LAYOUT. WHY THE HECK HAVE THEY DONE THIS. ITS AWFUL. I've been using Raw for ever and this is terrible. I thought I'd imported some pic from an old D80 or something - or opened up RAW from 2003 and that was why it was giving me limited options. And why is saturation with the white balance. And what happened to all the other white balance options. ADOBE What have you done? And the HDR doesn't seem to do anything at all, as you've shown (and i've already tried it on my 5k screen and useless). Thankyou for at least doing this video as it is very helpful, so that at least I don't have to open up each panel separately as i Like to see them altogeher and adjust all and go back and forth. I found though that even if I hit command to open another panel that it just reverts back when I open it again, so I've had to change it to multiple panel view .... which I wouldn't have known how unless you showed me, so thanks. I also don't really see how the point colour helps, as we could do that before in the old version and change hue, lightness/darkness and saturation by clicking a colour range ... just cant see whats really different here. The Blur however does look interesting and will have a play around with that, although I do worry that soon you won't need photographer skills if AI can add the perfect background blur for you and transform an image. Hopefully I will get used to it once i've changed things around. I really think Adobe should send out an email to all the Creative Cloud RAW subscribers to show the links to these changes. I know some of them are on Creative cloud but not always easy to find. I sometimes like a good old fashioned email to direct me to the link with the changes on. Anyway thanks, this was useful.
Fire!!! I hear you. I teach my students, it is in the camera not what you can do in photoshop. The market is flooded with a bad product. All this glitter isn’t helping
