My cat just had 5 kittens a week ago and they've been crawling out of there box since day 4. I think one is starting to open their eyes, but I really didn't think they would try to leave so early, because everyone said more like 3 weeks

My kitten was born 2 weeks ago and both of its eyes are open. But on eye is slightly more open then the other. Should I be worried?
Well uhm 1 week ago I rescued a newborn kitten and there wasnt any mother cat or anything at all
so we took him in.
Does this mean that he wont make it.
But ofcourse we are giving him heating sources and kitten milk replacer.

@@easydesigning8914 Me neither. I thought momma cat licked their eyes open cleaning them. Then I looked it up and found where it does happen. I was relieved because I thought they may go blind if the eyes were opened before it was time. the kittens eyes were open to varying degrees. The one I noticed 1st, eyes were open over half way. The rest were half and less the way open. I called all my friends and neighbors to validate what I was seeing.

My cat had kittens with their eyes opened. I was worried too. I thought momma cat had somehow opened them while cleaning them. I did some research and discovered a few other occasions where kittens were born with their eyes opened. This litter of kittens were bigger, stronger, and matured faster than usual.
My cats litter have 3 kittens (born 04 April 2020). 2 of them have opened their eyes in 10 days, but the 3rd one has not, yet. Because of lockdown in the country, veterinary access is very difficult for me, and no vets are available for house visits.
What should I do ? (I am kind of scared) 😞
Phone the vet you are using I'm sure you don't need to worry.

My cat gave birth to 3 kittens but she doesn't want to feed them so I feed them and care for them, i don't know if that is an indication of something or not but I'll keep doing so they don't die.

So there is a cat that showed up at our house and we fed her and she rubs up on us and lets us pet her and all that but she recently had kittens on i think the 26th of April how long until we should pet them btw the cat has my trust 120% because every day i go out and pet her and feed and water her
If the mother trusts you, there is no problem with touching the Kittens at all, but be prepared for her moving her young if she is not completely happy, sometimes they do this anyway, especially if it is an outdoor cat.
Currently i'm taking care of a kitten i'm not sure about the age she doesn't even open her eyes yet she is really silent at first but then in the second day in my care she start to cry for her mother her mother is gone and i'm really worried about her does this will effect her growing development? What food should be given to a new born kitten
If there is no mother cat then you have to feed them with Kitten Formula, DO NOT give them normal milk, it will cause severe Diarrhoea which will dehydrate them, in kittens that are very young, it can be FATAL. Also, if there is no mother, you will have to take them to the Bathroom. They cannot pee and poop for themselves, you have to gently rub them between the legs before you feed them, which for the first two weeks,will be every two hours. After three weeks, they should be able to go themselves. Their mum does this with her tongue.
@@stephensmith4480 I was told to massage gently the lower abdomen and then rub gently the anus with a gause or tissue, both actions right after you feed them. I guess the order of when doing it, if before or right after you feed them it doesn´t make much of a difference.
I just watched this video where the Kitten Lady recommends to stimulate the kitten´s anus after having fed the kitten. It´s toward the end of the video. Always hold the kitten laying down on his stomach, not with his belly up, which is wrong and can cause the kitten to aspirate and for the milk to go to his lung and die. Kittens open their eyes usually between 9 and 15 days of age. In some cases, this period can be longer, so don't fret!

I found a little kitten traped in between radiator and bumper, two nights meowing ,it looked like abortion kitten, I saved the poor thing and giving cow milk and is responding, I hope when open the eyes can reconize me as a strange father but what can I say? @@emir-gx5lu My little kitten died, You was right, cow milk did not help the tiny friend, I went running to the vet clinic but because of covit-19 I found it close, Man, it was fun the cute thing but now I'll have to wait , there is big cat about to give birth and Im sure they will be all around the house soon.
Please don`t give it cow milk, it`s far too rich and could cause serious problems. You need kitten formula. I hope your new friend is OK they are great company.😼🐱👍
