Handong's cheekiness is one of the many entertaining things in Dreamcatcher. She can annoy or tease you but you can never get mad. Her way of thinking is hilarious in many incidents that make me spit water on multiple occasions. Her absence and her coming back marks a huge turning point for herself and if I dare say. Dreamcatcher itself too, because she brings out a side of dreamcatcher we don't get to see much often. ( Sua getting teased mostly.)

I remember when Dreamcatcher debuted and I admit I barely noticed Handong. She had almost no lines and was always in the back corner for the choreo. The company knew it too, which is why they dyed her hair bright orange for What so she would stand out more. But as her Korean improved and especially when she came back from China, her personality really started to shine. It was just the language barrier holding her back. Now she just as charming, chaotic and mischievous as the other members. When she's together with Sua, that's when it really gets good.
Actually from the start, the company is prepared very good by making every other member learns chinese so that they will communicate better. Handong Kr skill is also not bad so it helps the communication flews better. Yoohyeon and dami chinese skill are the better one & gahyeon is her roomate & jiu being a good leader always make sure her get some part as well so at 1st i think Handong talk to them mostly. Nowadays she can go crazy with SuA as well & going out of the hotel room every night along the US tour. Nice👍
We all love Handong! And Insomnia, never forget what DCC and the members did for her. They've always incorporated her and didn't forget about her in China. She got to grow and was welcomed warmly with a self-made mv dedicated to her. She also gets more time to shine (I know this is always a subject of discussion but with 7 members it's not that easy and the line distribution for VISION for example was really good). Not to forget they left a spot in all their choreos for T:OL and we get almost every song from Scream and Boca era in OT7 version. This is sadly not the norm, as other companies get their Chinese members out to China and never bring them back or they get hated on by "fans". But I'm glad that every comeback Dongie gets more love and attention and in 2020, everyone was commenting how much they miss her.
Absolutely; while she was absent from the group, she was _never_ forgotten, by InSomnia _or_ Deukae. The members would frequently comment on how they missed her (I particularly remember a Siyeon live where she was on the verge of tears that they hadn't been able to speak to her in so long, and I was right there with her... and in their first online concert, when Dongie's voice sang the ending refrain of Polaris, they just let it play and cried out for her... 😭)... and during the tour after she left, there would _always_ be a Dongie cut-out in attendance.
It's easy to forget how much we all hurt for Handong during mid 2020. But that was probably the darkest time to stan Dreamcatcher. We had to cope with both a missing member stranded by Covid, and the shock of the Deja Vu rigging. There's a reason "holding this pain" became such a legendary line... it was our way to summarize both the loss of Handong and the loss of our rightfully earned win. so tl;dr we not only didn't forget about Handong but we were collectively traumatized by her absence.
Somehow i do think the Ice of Handong has already melt in the good way. Nowadays she is more confident in showing her funny crazy side & improve so much in every aspect. Nice
