The shrugging comes from the movie Funny Girl where this song originated. Barbra shrugs so Lea shrugged. Same shrug is shown on her Glee cover of Get Happy/Happy Days Are Here Again
Hello beautiful Laura, she sings beautifully!Super! Thanks! Great reaction.🌹😊🇷🇺 Listen to Alice Supronova from Russia.Alice can sing in 20 different languages! Sings in the 4.5 octave range.A very strong and bright voice! You will be delighted! Give a link?
Hey dear, here's a new phenomenal cover of Elvis Presley from Diana Ankudinova "can't help falling in love". Be careful, HTB is very strict with strikes now. If you're making the reaction, you can change the image of the video. It will help you.
Lovely rendition by Lea, but my favourite version still remains that performed by Regina Spektor. Agree with Pavel Suvorov. Would love to see some Alisa Supronova on this channel. 3 from my list of favourites performed by her: Silence - ua-cam.com/video/xfdaPIgD23g/v-deo.html Music Will Make Us Friends - ua-cam.com/video/tIiuUuWeLsY/v-deo.html Mama - ua-cam.com/video/AOgI1aflgBo/v-deo.html
All I can say is that she is very talented yes… but she has no originality. I think that is one of the major reasons her career has gone nowhere! Even as a tribute, not only has she copied to her best ability (which still lacks Barbra’s) every single nuance of Barbra’s original- even her orchestration is an exact copy. It appears you may not have listened to Barbra’s original? ua-cam.com/video/Hdlz6QzyAVA/v-deo.html Here is Barbra singing it live at an never aired special for the promotion of the sequel to Funny Girl… (so it’s a semi more fair comparison… but remember Barbra had been singing for an hour, so again it’s not a true comparison, Lea only sang one song, and though they both had to be a bit tired from rehearsals, Barbra gets an extra credit point for having sung huge belt songs back to back). ua-cam.com/video/S5h-esH4GAE/v-deo.html Finally, Barbra’s prime was between 1969-1979… there she truly was what Mike Myers on SNL said, “her voice is like buttah. Which then Madonna, said, “like buttah,” and then Rosanne says, “like a big stick of buttah.” It’s a skit where all three are NY Jewish women “kvetching” about Barbra’s “Prince of Tides.” And at the end, Barbra herself makes a totally surprising pop in. Which if you actually look at their reactions, one can see it. Madonna immediately gets on her knees and starts to bow. I am not being critically negative but more of the fact that she is good as a Barbra impersonator… but you see in the entertainment world, to become legendary you have to have the essence of what is popular but it’s the uniqueness that makes one special. Again, though most female singers study and try for decades to be a Barbra Streisand, I’d say the only one who was close was Whitney Houston (what a tragedy!) And have a cherry on top this year, at 78 years old, Barbra broke another Billboard record! Billboard 8/2021 “‘Barbra Streisand Makes Chart History With 'Release Me 2' The legend is the first woman with top 20-charting albums on the Billboard 200 in every decade from the ‘60s through the ‘20s. Barbra Streisand adds another chapter to her storied Billboard chart career… With the debut, (Release Me 2) she becomes the only woman with new top 20 -- or even top 40 -- albums in every decade from the 1960s through the 2020s.”
You must be a want to be performer or singer. Maybe you don’t have the talent I think she did a beautiful tribute to Barbra Streisand and her career is going places she’s been in the business since she’s a child and now she’s Fanny Brice on Broadway so before you make a comment get your act together
“she may be difficult but boy can she sing” Kurt nailed it.
This is probably the best cover of this song.

She needs to stop imitating Barbra and make it her own instead.
her constant "scooping" before each word (the small cry/yelp sound) is annoying.
