I very much enjoyed his 'Trickery throughout the Ages' series, especially Roderick Bamboozles the Byzantines' and 'Roderick misleads the Minoans'. Roderick defrauds the Dacians' was a flop though.
I’ve just seen “The Third Man” again and I’ve realised that this is an extended version of the conversation between Holly Martin and Major Calloway near the start of the film.
To the contrary, however, it's clear that you *haven't* recently reexamined "Roderick and Simon Sodomize a Spoiler" or you'd know that I had planned to make that glorious reveal myself and plunder all the ladies present of their sweetmeats and bum-gums before riding off at a gallop, wearing a hint of a sideways grin and little else, Damn your eyes!
Simon and Roderick certainly got about. As a matter of fact my great uncle shot them both dead from behind a hedge in Co Cavan circa 1921. Still, they had a great run up until then .

This comedy appears to be making fun of all the different races and nationalities mentioned, but is actually making fun of HIM, and the stereotype of the Imperial Superior Britishman (or Englishman). It reflects badly on HIM and I'd like to think I'm not the only one who sees this. Anyway. Might be time to download your copy.
