I'm uncertain if the Listener that is engaged with the Prince is the same Listener whose Mentor sends them to the Red Sands(I'm thinking not seeing as how the Mentor does work in the Emperor's Court). Also interesting to note that the Yandere Demon Hunter and Friendly Neko videos also take place in the same universe!

I would have to recommend against the caging of mages. Being that most reside in my lands, I can't help but feel this is how you choose to justify the genocide of an entire country. This is also how you start rebellions. When a section of the population feels threatened, they will take action. Violent action to oppose violent repression. This, my Prince, is how you lose your crown.
An that is what happened in the hunger games
Panem was thread with the life of their child so the planned a rebellion against the capital so the prince is sort like president snow or his father was

Good way to add angst: while not being involved in the attack, the princess herself is a mage. So either 1: she tries to hide it and he discovers it, leading to him being conflicted about that or 2: tells him point blank to his face she is one (and if you ask me, she doesn’t even give him the chance to make up his mind about the revelation or wait around for the guards, she just walks to the dungeons and plops herself down in the first empty cell all by herself.)

If the listener is found guilty, he'll have them slaughtered. If they're innocent, they'll never trust each other again and any sort of relationship they could've cultivated could never happen.

ayyKatx even if we are innocent we as the listener will not have a good ending our trust level with him might suffer or when we are in prison we might tear our kingdom to pieces as we watched from far feeling ashamed and watched our family being beheaded, if he does the beheading in front of us we might turn form a nice to evil and swore not to like him and maybe even start a war together with those form our kingdom whose survived the attacked.

I have never seen someone build such intricate lore for ASMR before. Absolutely amazing. Your storytelling is fantastic, letting us see bits and pieces of this world you've created in a natural way, which is so hard to do with only dialogue. I got real into character for this series as a mage princess who was way smarter than this guy, so my answers didn't really match his dialogue at all... and I completely changed this story in my head.
Prince: "Have you had any communication with your home since you were brought to the palace?"
Me: "Yes."
Prince: "Have you ever knowingly communicated with the separatist causes?"
Me: "Yes."
Prince: "At any point, have you left this castle without my knowledge?"
Me: "No."
Prince: "Finally... did you know?"
Me, smirking like a madwoman: "...Yes."
Later in video...
Prince: "Magic, the arcane, it's a all a way for people to remove any form of personal responsibility! Taking life becomes so simple, so easy, when everything can be done on a whim."
Me: "Yes... you are right about that. And yet... here you are, still alive... despite the fact that I've been a mage this entire time and could have splattered you on the wall at any moment. But I haven't. I could have broken your mind and made you a puppet by now... but I haven't. Would you like to know why that is?"
Prince: "..."
Me: "It's because I was taken with you that day on the battlements as well. You were so awkward and uncultured, flouting your so-called superiority while being completely clueless as to what was truly happening in the shadows. It was rather... cute. And you talked about how you wished the circumstances of this arrangement were better; implied you didn't approve of the way your father continued to campaign war after endless war. Out of everyone in your family line, you alone resented this path of utter bloodshed that had been taken... and you alone were... redeemable. That day, you lamented being the spare... lamented that our union might be the greatest thing you ever did for your empire. You practically asked me for your father's throne, and gave me due cause to grant that wish. Is this not what you wanted? Or has it simply come at a price you were unwilling to pay? You think I wanted MY family to die either? I did not, and yet... here we are, orphans, the both of us now. Your situation is even more like mine than it was before. You seemed enraptured by our similarity of circumstance before... but is this too much for you? Suck it up, darling! ... What is that look of terror on your face? Glancing at the door like that? Have you a mind to call the guards? Well... what would they do? All it would take is one spell from me and suddenly you'd tell them you had merely called them in to give them reprieve for the day, and check the list of the fallen to see if they too had family to mourn. Ah, how gracious of you, m'lord." *Smiling maniacally.* "And then, you will either submit to my plan for you... or join your family. Live or die? I at least have the courtesy to give you the choice."

@@moonmallow4474 Thank you. 😄 The way I see it, this resolves with him becoming a weak-willed puppet emperor whilst the empress manipulates the events at court to suit her original countrymen. She bears him several children to assure her line's legitimacy in controlling the empire for all time. The empire stops expanding and works to dig out internal threats, as his majesty had wanted. And as time moves forward and generations pass, the empire becomes one of the strongest in existence, with more mages than any before it. And while the history books may only remember the names of the men who built it, the culture, holidays, and the very heartbeat of the empire's daily life will forever remember the mage queen... in much more subtle ways. Just as she wanted.
Aside from the whole idea of the asmr this dude's tactics are truly interesting like cutting the enemies from inside instead of expanding the Kingdom . I'm impressed
