When Simon starts taking about self confidence being rooted in your relationships I paused. It makes PERFECT sense. I had a rough patch in my 20s and was abondoned by the ones I thought were my support system. And it broke me. I thought I was weak and there was a long period of healing and attention to self care but I still thought I had issues with self-confidence. What an amazing insight here for me! ❤ Thank you for giving words to what I felt for so long!

Great interview. Passionate guy and much of what he says makes sense. There is a clear imbalance in the world and we are taught at an early age not to listen to ourselves and our instincts. Why I am not sure but it is not a receipt for happiness. Thanks for being continuously great! So many interviews, yet it never gets boring. I always learn something new. Bet it's hard to keep the standard up, something that always amazed me with Letterman. Appears like you have that same quality! Much appreciated! 🌸✨

Simon Sinek I admire your work and i'm grateful that there are people like you in the world who spread powerful messages, however, when it comes to self-confidence I don't think you have analyzed it deeply, because the human being is perfect from the very beginning, everything comes from the inside out and not the other way around and if not the other way around will not last because it will not be genuine.
Self-confidence already exists in men or women, the form or technique of arousal can be analyzed, as some people arouse for themselves and others need a deeper and more psychological approach.
In the case used as an example in the video, it was not your request for help that made her feel confident but the need to help you and not let you down, she had to pull herself together and strengthen herself in every way to be able to what you asked and she did because of her, but for your benefit.
Dependence on approval or praise destroys many people, everything that man needs is within him and everything we live in the world of forms is the cause of what is within us all.
#You love you self and you spreed the love that you have for you to others, it's impossible to love other people because you are not them but you can love yourself and share the love with everyone.
I hope it was simple and clear in my comment. Thanks

The (self) confidence topic is a highlight. Watching a TED Talk or book club at the end is the personal favorite of the video on having a leadership budget. Been a bit since I watched one of your interviews as I have been reading (and listing at the same time on most) books. *Thanks* Lewis for getting to connect with Simon on the record. Anticipating getting this book from the library since last calendar year. Also Interesting to hear you two talk about the Olympians and their vision boards. Good to hear that this conversation is growing on your two relation based on each of your own history including. As always, take care! Lastly good to hear the distinction of authority (management) and leadership. P.S. Don't feel like you have to rush. An hour is long, but hey if the is more unique content on your podcast, good for you!

Not sure I agree it takes two people to increase one's confidence, none the less a very interesting point of view. I agree it helps when other people believe in us.

also nice part about "self" confidence... it takes two to tango... being of service.. how to overcome self doubt ..
help someone to overcome self doubt... this is what I also heard from Neale Donald Walsch: what is written in the Bible... Do unto others what you would have been done unto you. (do unto others as you would have them do unto you)
Be the source, Be the SOURCE, like God( or whatever you may call it, the lifeforce, the universe , the kosmos, ) Be the creator!
its not as it is often said : don't do unto others what you don't want done u (if I pronounce this well in English)...
