@@finolaomurchu8217 Not really I think. The notes are more like a shield to deflect attention and give ‘plausible deniability’ so she can appear not to understand the question. Watch how she behaves when listening to the first question. She gives the impression that the question is impossible to understand, maybe it is ‘too childish’ or idiotic for her to take seriously? As if a child were asking a question based on a simple but defective understanding of reality, and she does not want to hurt the child’s feelings by saying so.
No doubt she is trained in talking vacuous nonsense. Likely it's not enough for the mainstream media.
@@diarmaid0heineachain314 No. You're both wrong. The shuffling of the papers was an attempt to unsettle the journalist asking the question. An attempt to display her lack of interest. She did something similar when the first question was asked. She leaned forward in a patronising manner. It's very obvious that she holds the interviewer in contempt and isn't going to give him what he wants... an admission of guilt as it were. It's understandable on a human level, especially given the context of what Gript has said about her in the past. My problem with this though is that as a government minister she shouldn't feel entitled to dodge difficult questions or to raise herself above criticism. Sign of the times and of the wider media landscape in this country i suppose.
