Officially KAB won at phase 4 so COTV doesn't use all his power and survives. Yet there's a fanon phase 5 where COTV uses all the power. And yeah, he won't melt.

@@buuuu2912 in my take, he summons papyrus in phase 2 and takes the DT used to make him and uses it himself, just like actual COTV.
