Sadhguru went into Trance state(Bhava Samadhi)when Chanting Shiva Mantra in Shivaratri 2018

- THIS IS UNEXPECTED!
While starting the MAHA SHIVARATRI 2018 with Mid night Meditation & Chanting, Sadhguru started it as usually with a chant(Shiva Panchakshara Stotram)- "Nagendra Haaraaya......".
But as soon as he chanted 2 lines he was unable to utter furthur. Seems He felt one kind of BHAVA SAMADHI-Trance state for few minutes. It took time for him to forcefully come out of that state. He did it him self, slowly then he became normal to guide the Sadhakas with Powerful chanting and meditation.
I was there at this event, when the meditation started, every time Sadhguru made that whistling and clapping sound, my heart beat became faster, it felt as if my energies were rising or something. It was an experience of a kind, I cannot describe it, I bursted into tears after sometime into the meditation, it was indeed an overwhelming experience. I couldn't believe that all the explosive experiences which I had that night were all created by Sadhguru just by using some sounds. He is a being with tremendous capabilities! Shambho!

sadguru is getting darshan of shiva. I am 💯 percent sure.When my grandmother meditates she also do such acts and we feel awkward but then she tells she dont know anything what she was doing or saying. she gets completely absorbed in her mediation. So, I believe this.

From all the comments I have read so far I couldn't find a single negative one. There is literally no reason to take this video down. Even if it can seem strange to a rational, unitiated mind which doesn't know anyting about Isha or Sadhguru's work, it is still a great opportunity to feel something that has never been felt before. Let people rejoice and enjoy the experience. All they have to do is get into a meditative state and listen to it again with closed eyes, palms open, uncrossed upon the tighs and a sligthly upturned face

With proper pranayam and yoga with ishta naam a real yogi can create this whistle. Sadhguru is truly a yogi. I don't know what one feels at that moment when he/she reaches that state. But as much as it looks like he is enjoying the pure cosmic energy within himself. 🙏🏼

many experienced when they have personally attended the event, but i could attend only in the live program. I sat for the meditation only half hearted due to various other reasons. But the next second I closed my eyes, my body was vibrating and i could not sit at one place ( It was like the time when i received the shambavi deeksha for the second time ) oh god ! i was not myself throughout the meditation. This is something beyond.

I am just curious, are you a Christian? You are quoting Christ.... Are there a lot of Christians present in these types of events?
I was born in the UK and my parents Christened me in the Church of England.
That said I have very strong leanings to Sadguru.
I joined a choir some 10 years ago to learn how to sing.
Rather than sing songs of the musicals i would LOVE to be able and chant in Sanskrit with Sad guru.
But back to your original question.
Sadjuru does not see - feel- any difference between faiths, by his own words.
he just sees human beings.
I suspect a lot of people from all parts of the world t go to Isha.

This is the first time Im seeing him like this. I tried watching live Mahashivratri on UA-cam since 2 yrs but the audience camera focuses on lookes so disinterested, sambit patra going through his phone, tamannah smiling to being captured on camera + Daler mehendi and bollywood style bhajans which I personally dont like.
But here I land, the comments are exhilarating, they all seem very true as I have had slight experiences myself, and I feel I have missed the deeper thing at Mahashivratri every year. Looking at the video, I can decipher with my very limited knowledge, Sadhguru feeling a rise of energy through his body (similiar to kundalini maybe) via his meditation and him releasing some energy from his body which can be seen as whistles, as is very difficult to contain such energy explosion in body. Will love to be corrected.

My god, it was getting scarier...he was suddenly a very transformed person...At some stage i felt that it was a huge snake....he was somehow trying to control and it took enormous efforts to come back to normal...

It was not a blue ray of laser, but twinkling light exactly like that of stars, it surely didn't look artificial, it remained for sometime (may be 30 minutes) and then going faint, finally faded. It didn't stop abruptly.
There were thick, light beams spreading like rays of sun, from behind the Adiyogi's face with air particles and smoke, giving bluish aura to his face. But this was one straight pillar, thin and just like twinkling of the stars, as if coming from a black hole, and it did not abruptly end in the sky, but extended to miles up and I had to bend my head back to see where exactly it is touching the sky.
May be the laser you are speaking about was to create the sunrays type aura, but surely not this column. This was something unearthly. I feel blessed that I noticed it.
I am not sceptical. I truly believe that, being there on Mahashivaratri night at Isha offered all of us something divine, an 'out of the world' experience.
I shared it because I wanted to know if more people had noticed it. It, surely, was not an illusion or hallucination. I was fully in my senses. Anyway, I respect your reply. Both are the ways to samadhi. To ignore & to Watch Toughts continuously. But thought is a part of yourself. It is better to Watch the illusion rather than running away. Because running away can't clear the illusion but temporary ignoring. Like in Deep sleep state. BUT Permanent freedom lies in continuous watching thoughts arising & subsiding like waves in the Ocean!

Even to try to get bliss is a selfish sense gratification. Instead one should simply engage oneself in devotional service as prescribed by Lord Krishna Himself. Bliss, Eternity and Knowledge are a natural sequence and outcome of becoming advanced in devotional service. Lord Krishna says "Man mana MADD (MY) bhav bhakto, mad yachi maam namas kuru "
It is said in Brahma Samhita "Ishvarah PARAMAH (Supreme) Krishna sacchidananda vigrahah anadir aadir Govinda SARVA KAARAN KAARANAM "
Also Lord Krishna says "Sarva Dharmaan parityajya MAAM (Mine) EKAM(Only) Sharanam vraja"
When the instructions are so clear and Lord Krishna's authority is universally accepted then I don't know why people don't understand and keep doing things whimsically in the name of Spirituality.
