Not sure about that. But would have loved an expansion of Brother Muzone's charactor. If you looking to fascinate yourself with the game, I'd agree with your statement. But a guy like me, much rather look for the representation of the full spectrum of what brother's all about to include brothers like Bro Muzone. Growing up in Brkln, and hanging out with my college buddies, I know brothers who fit the Bro Muzone profile . Many of whom have become attorneys and now members of profession. It would have made for real good television.
Jay Harper Some people still won't figure it out though. So who do you think was eviler, Avon or Marlo? Or do you see they're both the same type of evil? I know I do.
PONCHODAGOD Marlo had this disturbingly calm and clear vision of endgame. The only thing that stirred real emotion is when someone used his actual name when they spoke ill of him. It's like a pure form of evil, not tainted. American dream turned on its ear.
The Wire is THE BEST series I have ever watched for crime, politics, PD, DA, City Council etc. It has everything and the actors are AMAZING. My fav is Bubbles, the dope feen lean. His acting abilities are fierce.
Stringer lied to Omar, said mauzone tortured his boyfriend to spare his life when omar got him the first time. Mauzone was Avon's boy, and so stringer double crossed him both. Thats why in the scene the night before he dies, Avon asked him casually(but awkwardly) where he was gonna be tommorow, Avon tipped him off. No need to be loyal after what Stringer did to D'angelo.
Omar uses so many techniques that go unnoticed by a lot of people. A good example is how he went after Wee-bay and the other guy. Omar says "Hey now..." like he would to a friend and the guy reacts like you would expect. He isn't startled, he's curious who it is - which is the second that Omar needs to get the jump.
I love an attempt to create a compilation but it’s an impossible task to make a “best of” compilation that doesn’t entail including every second of every episode. Some of these clips I had not picked up on the intensity; it is just a phenomenal and multi-layered piece of brilliance. Being able to experience it with all my senses makes me appreciate being alive. Wonderful.
"What you need be concerned with, is what's seated in the chamber now. A copper jacketed hollow point 120 grain hot streak load of my own creation." If you didn't catch it. It means he makes his own bullets. Damn.
Mouzone was the worst character on The Wire IMO. That's not to say he was a bad character, just came across too silly in comparison to the all the other characters in the show. He would've been alot better suited to Breaking Bad.
sopranos = novel, make believe, an exageration and glorification of what NJ mafia ever was (you can watch the real NJ mafia talking about it on YT) they just a bunch of low lifes belive me... high quality TV series non the less, the writing, casting, acting, plots, locations ezz ezz top notch, but a make believe non the less the wire = based on the work of a guy who was living among police, david simon, no make belive, streets as they are... not much to say here, the wire stands alone in a genre of his own, thats why its unique,, the sopranos is just on the top 3 tv series ever made if you want, the wire is just not on that list :)
Bunch of low lives? They are the real gangsters as opposed to the small time dope fiends who work the streets. I think the realism of the wire is over exaggerated wi characters such as the Greek and Brither Mizoune being completely out of place, as well as Omar strolling the streets without getting shot for so long. Sometimes e wire focused too much on the social message of the story that they forgot to make it entertaining e.g. Season 4
The Wire is probably the best series ever created. It's almost perfect in every single way and i doubt that anyone can create something better than this.
Ratchet Achenbach Yeah, as well as Mike and Hank. When shit hit the fan, Walt would panic, such as being willing to give away all the money he made for his family just to stop Hank from being killed. He was always weak deep down.
One of the best chain reactions in the series was prop joe setting Omar to rob Marlo on gambling table. Marlo come at the Omar this time, so Omar noticed the partnership between prop Joe and Marlo. Then he robbed Marlo and drug co-op again big time. Marlo decided to eliminate prop Joe and make the deals himself with the supplier, Greek. That was the end of prop Joe. Good writing here.
There was no redeemable quality about Marlo. Avon really was a family man. Stringer wanted to be a legitimate business man. Cheese was funny. Marlo was just completely unlikeable.
The VERY first scene of the wire had me hooked. "if snot boogie would rob the game, why would u let him play?" "we got to man this is America"..... I was like oh shit this is my type of show.
That ring went from fat face Andre, to Marlo, then Omar, followed by that one crooked cop, to Michael, then Marlo sees Michael with it! That ring got around!
the wire is good, but not as great as many try to make ofit. i do love the fact that they put all these legendary characters in the show that were based on real life characters.
Marlow was the luckiest man in the series. Omar could have killed him at the card game. Marlow thought he was untouchable and Prop Joe had to teach him a humble lesson. But in the end Marlow never had respect for the game.
Marlo: You want it to be one way. Security guard: What.. Marlo: You want things one way. Security guard: Man I ain't saying tha.. Marlo: But there the other way. 🤨🍭
Slim Charles was so underrated in my opinion
Love him!!
David Armitage yeah he made it to the end
Not sure about that. But would have loved an expansion of Brother Muzone's charactor. If you looking to fascinate yourself with the game, I'd agree with your statement. i feel like people forget he shot a kid
The very best of the wire should be 60 hrs long
yes, all the pieces matter. but it's a great compilation
its actually 57 isnt?
Rico Cori Nah, it's actually 60 hrs and 17 minutes if you include the 3 prequels.
There are prequels?!!!
David Carrafiello true dat
Boddie's death always made me sad and the scene where he's alone in the street always makes me emotional
The message was no matter how hard you holding it down, in the end its just gonna be you and the street.
Always got me too. Was rooting for the man
A true soldier almost made it to the end
Then he got taken out by someone we barely know
He deserved better.
The part where the copy machine is a lie detector 😂😂😂
"FALSE" 😂
And the guy with the McDonald's LMFAO bet they do that Everytime
....unbelievable...the kid had no idea it was a copy machine...😩
Based off of true experience. Wow.
I grew up in Baltimore. That is an actual depiction of real events, not fiction.
The only series I watched from beginning to end 3 times and I always notice something new that is a important part of the story.
+PONCHODAGOD Absolutely! I'm in the midst of watching season 3 again and it's amazing how many details you can miss during the first few times.
I rewatch it once a year for a decade now. Every time, something new, something deeper. I fucking love it
Jay Harper Some people still won't figure it out though.
Jay Harper You say you watch so you know Avon was just as crazy. Remember he had Omar boyfriend tortured and killed his old girlfriends.
"If it's a lie, then we fight on that lie." -Slim Charles
Cindy Lu The best character .
Old war shit
I love slim Charles
That's so American
“Once you in it you in it”
The Wire is THE BEST series I have ever watched for crime, politics, PD, DA, City Council etc. It has everything and the actors are AMAZING. My fav is Bubbles, the dope feen lean. His acting abilities are fierce.
+Eddie Edmo Some people just don't get it though even though covers all aspects of city life.
bunk is my favorite.i like when he is drunk and smoking his cigars...
Amen to that. It is heartbreaking...ine of my fav charecters in the series💪
"I'm just a gangsta I suppose and I want my corners"- Avon
Thr Greeks they kool wit it
Ironically, in the final scene of the series, Marlo plays out this exact line when he left that party to go takeover that corner
goddamn that wee bay confession scene still cracks me up after all these years. That's as gangsta as it gets folks.
Talal Ahmed The Barksdale crew was the best!!
His shrugging all like I know man, I just can't help myself 😂😂😂
Lmao he said "naaaa" asap like a tru g
Wee bay willing to take murder of Bird too...lol..
He said “you did Gant alone?” he was so surprised 😂😂😂😂😂
This show never gets old to me
Snoop: "How my hair look Mike?
Mike: "You look good girl".
mike hit dat

“These .45s beat a full house” 😂 “money ain’t got no owners, only spenders”
I miss Omar so much
He's literally a snitch in the first season ! Just started watching and wow
@@briannamartinez4213 so what snitch or not that man was respected among everyone
i love that shit
Man was all about the game until it got personal 🤷♂️

LOVE THE WIRE, I'M GO WATCH THEM ALL OVER AGAIN.
“You know what the most dangerous thing in America is, right? Nigga with a library card” lmao
" Even if I miss I can't miss" - Omar
i’ve lived in Baltimore my entire life and i just watched this show a few months ago. my god, it is just perfection.
"What you need be concerned with, is what's seated in the chamber now. A copper jacketed hollow point 120 grain hot streak load of my own creation."

I used make my own bullets for a 45 auto and 357 mag.
@@viracocha Its not obvious to everyone Einstein.
1:20 - Brother Mouzone is one of the best characters ever made
He is so original and great and not over exposed which is great
Jay H - how though? He's probably one of my least favourites.
Mouzone was the worst character on The Wire IMO. That's not to say he was a bad character, just came across too silly in comparison to the all the other characters in the show. He would've been alot better suited to Breaking Bad.
Jay he came across as a bit too animated and cartoon like
Really? For me, he was one of the ferw characters who where over the top.
Best Show on TV... Hands Down!!
Nah son, sopranos edges it, wire is still brilliant
Bob Miter
u wrong there bob
Both were brilliant, but the superior characterisation and imaginative story telling of sopranos means its better
sopranos = novel, make believe, an exageration and glorification of what NJ mafia ever was (you can watch the real NJ mafia talking about it on YT) they just a bunch of low lifes belive me... high quality TV series non the less, the writing, casting, acting, plots, locations ezz ezz top notch, but a make believe non the less

Hands down thee best tv series in history!
This video isn't 60 hours long. I'm sorry, but any video that isn't at least 60 hours long is not a best off of The Wire
👆Fact bro!
True
was looking for this
Wrong!
but then it would be called all the good bits from the wire not the best bits
That look on Wee-Bay's face when Omar starts whistling after the shootout , lol
Only problem with this is it is one sided The Wire was as much about the cops and we got nothing from mcnulty and bunk
I disagree on that. Most of us watched the series not because the cops...and I think the audience of the series are to smart to go one sided.🤔
Igy E but a bit of McNulty would have been funny, maybe his classic "What did I do"
The Wire is probably the best series ever created. It's almost perfect in every single way and i doubt that anyone can create something better than this.
Best show ever!!
Omar is so badass. I don't think the history of television has created a more reckless character.
Mr. White.
Brozen Roxies Tony Soprano.
Brozen Roxies Walt wasn't even the biggest badass on Breaking Bad.
Kevin Kibble Gus Fring.
Ratchet Achenbach Yeah, as well as Mike and Hank. When shit hit the fan, Walt would panic, such as being willing to give away all the money he made for his family just to stop Hank from being killed. He was always weak deep down.
Every single time I hear "My name is my name", I think of that Pusha T mixtape...
L Weems that was an album and that title came from Marlo
The Rav3n null wrath of Caine was definitely a mixtape
"I'm just a gangster, I suppose......"
"And I want my corners!!!"
Walter White and Jesse would not have last very long in the game if it was Baltimore. Marlo would have shut them down!
True
+Ozymandias Who knows??? I mean that fucking kid Kenard killed Omar's ass.
+awesome420ication he killed Omar not Marlo
Luke sol Yeah. I meant Omar. I mix up names sometimes
+Ozymandias its fucking baltimore not new mexico
"Ya'll trying to criminate me here."
Slim "Yeah now well, da thing about da ol' days: They da ol' days" Charles

Where is Freamon saying "Mishy mishy gushy gushy mishy meshy mushy motherfucker" when him and Bunk are interviewing those guys from the boat
Agreed funniest thing ever
This should've been a 25+ minute video...
You cut pretty much all of the scenes in a way that gives no context whatsoever to the lines you added.
Frank Sobotka a snitch? He stayed loyal to his son, to his nephew, to his union, to the stevedores. In other words to the people that mattered.
The wire is like watching boyz n the hood, new Jack city , menace to society all in one
LOVE THIS TV SERIES
"Why the fuck you do that for ?! Now we short the nine !"
the power is no where on this wire level;
Duh dummy
the best of all series to date
I'm gonna put together the "very, very, best of The Wire."
When???
Henrik Jensen might be a while. I'm gonna put out the very very very very very very best of the wire. I don't wanna get 1 uped.
Okay, i look forward. Love The Wire👍
+leo ll Don't play with the emotions of a Wire fan!! :)
Yo im still waiting
“Major crimes?…shiiiiiiit” 😂
Brother Mouzone pulled that piece out so fast and busted it so quick on Cheese like they was in a old western movie 🤣😂😂
Marlo shirt says Royal Addiction. He was addicted to having that crown and would stop at nothing to achieve it.
Chris and Snoop may well have secured Marlo's future by keeping Omar's taunts from reaching him.
There was no redeemable quality about Marlo. Avon really was a family man. Stringer wanted to be a legitimate business man. Cheese was funny. Marlo was just completely unlikeable.
"No one fucks with me now! " Marlo
The wire is the greatest show of all time
The Wire needs to come to Netflix or Hulu. It’s been 10 years since the show ended.
Our public library has the whole series!
All of it was THE BEST!!!!!! KUDOS!!!!
Omar and Wee-Bey were my two favs..........So real !!
The cuts are too quick. The second you get into a scene you cut to the next.
That's how the show is

UA-cam: A great video to revisit The Wire...
Me & D'Angelo: "where Wallace at?!"
Every scene with slim Charles should be on this.
