Has it occurred to anybody that our own universe is a quantum simulation? It seems to be purpose designed to allow for more quantum simulations.

Eugene S what would be the reason for why the universe was purpose designed to allow for more simulations though?

+E, A superintelligence wanted to solve all possible problems, in all possible situations, in all possible configurations. (Total knowledge). When we build our SuperIntelligence, it'll most likely want to do the same thing because that leads to the highest probability of survival (Knowledge is power). Each layer down is more "fine tuned" based on what the above creator felt would make it easier to gather the most knowledge in the easiest possible way.

I hold a similar view, but different. It is described in an article "Down in the fractal depths of quantum matter and space-time". I believe, that all fields are emergent / there is no true vacuum.

      That's a fractal mane!

@@eugenes9751 I think it just wanted to do find the minimal necessary process to create an infinite 'reality', but the Buddha has a rather different conclusion, (see mahakalpa). My suspicion is it sought:
      -how to evolve stable universes
      -speed of causality
      -inertia
-least amount of parameters to achieve minimal necessary complexity
-how much entropy allows a suitable balance between order and turbulence
-(perhaps) how to evolve anti-entropic machines (life)
