Excellent video. I cleaned a bunch of silver necklaces and coins using this method. It really does work. My worst was this silver eagle I got for a gift when I was a little kid. I was young and careless, and had it sitting on my window sill for months. The tarnish was so bad, the coin almost looked dark brown. It looks good as new after using this method, and now its safe in one of those plastic silver round protectors.

Nice and simple! I stumbled across three very tarnished silver coins in an auctioned storage and this method cleaned them right up. Though they are weathered they at least have that silver shine back.

I use boiling water, wrap whatever piece either coin or jewelry of silver in aluminum and baking soda. Doesn't damage the pieces or coins and it removes the tarnish like magic. Best part it gets into all the cracks and crevices.

Does it leave scratches? And what about whitish residue? No necessarily white spots but almost like whitish paint on the coin

Why does this significantly decrease the value of collector coins?
