English subtitles video for:Restauration Roehrenradio Braun TS3 part 2

So when i uploaded the german version I had prepared a proper transcript in German in order to get a basis for the english subtitling via YT translator. I took the automatic transcriptor and corrected every one of these terribly translated sentences in order to achieve something that halfway made sense. Took me 4 hours flat. Upon uploading, this transcript just disappeared off the YT editor, just like that! Gone!
So I went to the editing studio which does my videos and together with another native speaker we manually translated the whole audio of this vid into english, and manually typed it into a subtitling programme.
Very tedious task, took the better part of 8 hrs, far longer than the editing of the original video took, but here it is: correct subtitles.
I will try a different approach on the next video this week, I will do a voice- over in english of the video of me checking the Carmen2 radio and getting shocked prior to me sending it off to David Tipton in Australia..Next video after that is part one of this Braun TS3 restore job.
Most probably the voiceover is the quicker method, so please stay tuned and bear with me, we are still learning how to do this the most efficient way, thanks for watching and stay safe you all :-)

Hi Blitz, good video, the explanation of the magic eye was very helpful, it cleared up a few things for me. Regarding the filter capacitor replacement, I also feel reforming capacitors is a short term fix, whatever way the capacitors are replaced is up to the person doing the job unless the owner wants it looking original, your replacement method was absolutely fine. You put a lot of effort into the subtitles, you being multilingual can see the mistakes I have the advantage of not knowing if the translation is good or not 😀

Edit: I now realise this is the same as part 1 with English subtitles, I read it in the description but forgot 🤦‍♂

6:00 That is a fix, Yes, but in my experience it's just a temporaly fix as it will last just a few weeks/months.
Remove the shaft and cleaning it is the best way.
Btw, english subtitles is a great idea.

22:41 Would you please explain IN MORE DETAIL why you think that two 22mfd electrolytic caps IN SERIES add up to a total of 22mfd and not 11mfd? Better yet provide some literature links to prove your reasoning which IMHO is completely flawed. Any electrolytic can withstand a short duration of reverse polarity before reverse electrolysis causes the insulating Aluminium oxid layer to decompose and short. If your resoning was correct in that any reversal of voltage across a polarized electrolytic cap causes an immediate(!!!) short, an electrolytic cap would have rectifying properties in a pure AC circuit. And that I cannot see not in theory nor in experiment
