Me and the wife just bought one of these '14s in limited 2wd fully loaded with Nav and all. Its for her and she absolutely loves it. I'm very surprised how far Hyundai has come in the last 10 years. Ended up getting it for 26,554 from the local dealer in Orlando! Very happy with our decision!
Quite good of a review. Always like the focus of this channel. Goes to what's important to average consumers. But most of all, Mr. Erickson is so easy on the eyes. Best looking car reviewer in UA-cam, hands down.
I bought a 2014 Limited AWD Tucson with nav and panoramic sunroof. Love it. The 7 inch screen is great. Steering is good, and car maneuvers very well. Cargo space is minimal but not a factor for me. This vehicle is prob too small for a family car. Mileage suffers around town with the AWD-about 18 mpg but I have a very short commute. On highway it gets mid 20's mpg. Seems good in the snow. I liked 2014 Mazda CX-5 but the screen was only 5 inches...too small and controls seemed more complicated and I just liked Tucson's interior better. Rav4 was nice but interior not as well thought out.
ctflocco yeah I had a Tucson 2015 it was the dealers until my vehicle got fixed but when you push the all wheel drive button it stiffen up and went th rough stuff I never thought it would the only complain was the cloth seats where hard on your but and back is yours leather and ate they softer cause I'm thinking about getting a used one
I rented one of these a few weeks ago in the SE trim, and it was an ok vehicle to drive, I coasted down a hill without applying gas or brake and just steering coming down from about 15-20 mph. The car felt too light for me, I have a Jeep Grand Cherokee, and I'd driven a Ford Explorer Limited as a rental a week earlier, and it felt a lot cooler to drive than this. But still a nice vehicle around town.
I got 2 Tucson 2014 and 2015. Both have major engine problems. 2015 Tucson broke down 500 km from home. Paid $1890 to town it back. No doubt, that is my last Hyunda !!!!!
I've chose to have a rav4 though with a white pearl tone. I guess it was the 2nd to the highest trim? As my father bought a sporty SUV, I think Rav4 is MORE Reliable than the Tucson when it comes to sport. Though its suspensions aren't the best, I guess it would be practical to me.
cars with front wheel drive is very weird... the drivetrain should be the rear wheels while the front wheels should be the turning wheels. isn't that common sense? same goes for the honda pilot. the drivetrain should always be the rear wheels!
***** screw that. the rear wheels job is to move the car and the front wheels to turn the car. it should have independent jobs. if we are talking rain or snow... then we should bring it 4wd or awd.
AntLicious I'm sorry but you are really clueless when it comes to expressing yourself. "Front wheels to turn the car" and "independent jobs", then why should 4WD or AWD make the front wheels also move the car then? I'll give you a quick gist on FWD and RWD. FWD is better at cornering, cheaper to build, lighter than RWD and more fuel economical. RWD is mainly on sports cars like the BMW 3 series, 5 series etc. It's tradition basically.
Would never drop over $27,000 for that, would instead go with the Mazda CX-5 Touring with the bigger engine and better gas mileage, that's if I was shopping in this class.

worth after 10y?2024
Great review, what I'd like to see though is a double pram in that boot.

Which do you guys think is better, the RAV4 or the Tucson?
Meepster I've only been to Tucson once... I like Tempe much better. Where abouts is RAV4?
Meepster RAV4 is generally more reliable, but it's new body refresh is repulsive in my opinion.

Meepster Did you consider the Ford Escape, Honda CR-V or Mazda CX-5 prior to your decision?
Wu Wei Xu Nope, but the Escape would be a great one, so as the CR-V. Though the CX-5 isn't available in my place.
It's a beautiful car! I want a gray one!
Great video! Thanks!
wow, that looks just like the 2016 Hyundai Tucson!! *evil grin*
with that V7 engine!
lol gotta love the exhaust note of a v7...especially when it has nitrogen direct injection.
Thanks for the vidéo! very good!
Is that the same car named "IX35" in other countries?
yes bro
Also the ride is stiff over bumps, but fine on smooth roads. If you're looking for a luxury cruiser ride type feel, this won't do it.
I love his voice
Push start doesn’t,t work cannot get my car started how to fix this
change the battery in the remote im commenting so if others have this issue they know what to do
if i have the 2.0 .. can i use it offroad
can u please do 2015 toyota rav4
Nice video.
A lot of Hyundai and Kia reviews coming from you.
Dose it have a power lift gate
Renzo Delacruz The new 2016 Hyundai Tucson will have a power lift gate available, previous models do not.
You're so handsome, I love watching your videos

AntLicious typical bmw driver LOL
MEH i'll wait for the 2016.
Getting in and out of the 2nd row is laughable.

Yuis car was used in the walking dead!
It wasn't "used". It was advertising, Hyundai paid good money for the series to use the car.
Thanks so much for washing ??????????????????
In comparison to this, I'll stick with my Rav4. More cargo room, better reliability, better gas mileage, and better blind spot vision.
Rated #19 on Carsandreviews, while the Tucson is at #12. Keep dreaming.
Hmmm. Interesting.
