Thank you Katie! As a cashier and a couponer myself, it annoys me to no end when people come in to do fraudulent transactions. I had someone threaten to call corporate on me because I told her she couldn’t stack digital and paper coupons on the same product. I just wish people would just read the terms and restrictions on the coupons and educate themselves before trying to make me look like a dumbass. It’s possible to get stuff free without being an ass hole and breaking the rules!

Kayla Lawson. I wouldn’t be quick to say fraud. Y’all need to be careful before accusing someone of breaking the law. It’s confusion. With so many different policies on use from the manufacturer and various stores it’s chaos. I’ve tried to use coupons properly many times after not only reading all policies and even having copies of them and cashiers are still nasty. I can’t tell you how many made big scenes and called over managers. They ended up being wrong but refused to even apologize. I used to get upset but once I realized how much money, time, and gas I saved I was actually appreciative. Needless to say I no longer coupon but I do still find it interesting. I do feel for those women that had the police called on them for couponing though. It’s so not worth it. One idiot or clerk having a bad day can lead to much grief.
The purchase/transaction tip was good. I didn't realize there's a difference!

When people hear “write down” and “collect your coupons” it means people doing work. Where do I get it? What am I supposed to write down, how do I know this will work?
Ive been couponing since late March (cuz of COVID 19 virus) and it was tough!
I ended up making lots of mistakes, but kept pursuing, started with “something” we usually buy and worked my way up.
I hope somebody reads this because I’m 24, jobless, and changing careers every time I finally figured what I wanted but I change my mind because it was too damn hard or I lost interest.
So I started late March at Walgreens (it’s still complicated to me) went to CVS and because most deals are digital it was easier! (You still need paper coupons though, I haven’t gotten to printing)
I went through storming CVS and Walgreens for 1hour or two in the beginning (my brain was all scattered trying to do the math WHILE I shop, it was overwhelming) May 12, 2019 sacrificing my first bit on a particular transaction, and receiving my fake store money (aka in CVS Extra Care Bucks).
After many videos and going to the store, I literally just go in and out ASAP when I have a list. Literally UA-cam has people that prepare what’s on special this week and next. Now that I understand the store, I have a system:
Step 1: Understand the store/coupons
Step 2: do it (make mistakes.)
Step 3: watch videos on UA-camrs (Washing dishes, sweeping and mopping if you want to multitask). The videos are 10-15 mins long
Step 4: write it down (I don’t like wasting paper, I type it on my iPad notes ICloud) Take my notes to the store with my phone, and buy what’s on my list
MUST: Find UA-camr you understand, and speaks your language (BUT after you understand the store. Usually, if the youtuber taught you the store then their weekly videos are beneficial.)
MUST: Know how many coupons per item. I just got tide pods free. (Store coupon and manufactured).
MUST: Make mistakes and recognize your mistakes. Trust, once you know where you made a mistake, it’s up to you not to repeat it. (My mistake is forgetting to take out my paper coupon so I ended up paying more than I should that’s why I write “MINUS $2 Tide pods PAPER coupon” on my notes hehe)
MUST: When doing notes, make sure everything is clipped/written down
I hope to learn from Rite Aid. It’s seems to be my next best thing.
Transaction: pay the cashier RECEIVE your receipt!!
Hint: CVS: Invest in your first transaction, collect ECB, example (small 5/10 Extra Care Bucks) and when you buy, buy the amount of ECB that Equate to the first. Obviously, the rest of the other steps will click.
Caution: watch what you spend with CASH. Extra Care Bucks are so you DONT Pat real money from you pocket.
Updating, couponing CVS is the best way to save out of pocket. I understand Walgreens couponing now but you spend more out of pocket even if they reimburse with the register reward and points. This can only be retaliated but thats to my short-term understanding.
I hope anyone reading understands this.
How to coupon CVS! (Extra bucks=fake dollar bills that CVS gives you)
Understand COUPONS and CRT example in the app:
Red box machine $2 off tide (CRT print in STORE ONLY!!!)
$3 OFF any laundry crt (digital CVS coupon)
$2 when you spend $14off hair care crt (digital CVS coupon)
$3 off ONE Tide liquid detergent
Manufacture coupons (picture digital in app coupon or cut out from SUNDAY newspaper booklets/mail)
You CAN stack MORE than one CRT and combine with manufacture coupons
*. Red Box machine CRT $2 off tide
*. $3 OFF any laundry CRT (digital CVS coupon)
*. $2 off ONE tide (manufacturer coupon )
Spending deals/ terminology example :
SPEND $20 get 5 ECB
****Spend $20 in specifics items (example: laundry) RECEIVE $5ECB
remember that when you buy $20 of stuff, you are NOT spending twenty dollars from your POCKET!*****
Fake list
- tide 11.94
- tide pods 4.94
- tide pods4.94
Total before coupons:) $21.82
Fake coupons: read the specifics please...
* $3 off laundry CRT digital
* $2 off tide red box machine
* $3 off ONE liquid tide detergent manufacturer
* $2 off ONE 12- 16 count tide pods
* $2 off ONE 12- 16 count tide pods
Pay in cash: $9.82 plus TAX
RECEIVE: $5 extra care bucks (ECBs) in receipt
That’s every transaction. Combining a bunch of CRTs and manufacturer coupons. Now, remember the $5 ECBs?
“Next Week”,
INSTEAD of 9.82 you can SUBTRACT the $5 ECBs leaving you to pay $4.82. AND you can will still receive $5ECB. Pretty much, you can use fake money to receive fake money.
CVS does this type of deal every week. This is where you might become an addict and COLLECT the ECBs. Think of them as money. Do not forget!!! Your goal is to NOT PAY CASH!
Idea: If you have a large family, buy FOR them and have them pay you the cost (start with one person or two) If you buy a large amount of stuff, collect your extra care bucks, sell the stuff you don’t need it’s a good way to get your own product for cheap/ actual FREE. Not kinda free, but free-free.
Other terminology: there’s beauty bucks rewards, separate from the regular deals every month. Pads, tampons, shampoo conditioner and other count as beauty rewards plan.

Thank you for telling people it's okay to miss deals & to use coupons properly. I saw on Instagram about a week or so back something (well actually a few things) I hate people doing. One person literally bought an expensive beauty product for around $18.00 to get the register reward ($8.00) & immediately returned it. I've also seen people peel coupons off products they're not buying to use in a different store. They actually tell people to do that. These people are the reason why it's getting harder to coupon. Oh almost forgot don't forget about Receipt Hog. Scan those receipts & get money back just for scanning.

Getting ready to start my coupling adventure and you are by far the best couponer i have found yet i love how thorough you are with explaining things! Have a question... When it comes to using so many coupons to say get 15 packages of toilet paper (using for example) for either free or getting money back etc. How do you go about doing that? It's like where you use so many coupons that each item ends up being a certain amount and where you have to get so many of the item for them to end up being free or all of them together end up being dirt cheap.... I just finished watching your revised beginners coupon Ing video, I do have one question: when you were talking about using a digital coupon with a paper coupon you went into detail about looking at both the paper& the digital fine print, to determine if it’s a manufacturers coupon. But you did not clarify what you can actually use between a digital and a paper coupon. Does that mean yes you can use a digital coupon and a paper coupon only if one is a manufacturing coupon and a store coupon or is it the other way around I think I might’ve missed your explanation on this I’m so sorry can you re-explain it for me.

Did you get the Kroger carefree deal? Their on sale 10 for $10 but they was on their buy 5 save 5 sell making them free. My Kroger caught the glitch and fixed it but they have aby 2 save $2 coupon on their app.
Great video. I have a question for you concerning exceeding listed coupon limits. If a coupon policy of a store allows you to purchase more of a product than the manuf limit on a coupon allows, how is that fraud? Just asking your opinion. Tia.
The store cannot override the manufacturer’s specific limitations. If the coupon states “limit 2 per household” and Target’s policy allows you to use up to four of the same coupons, you still can only use 2. Store limitations are different and ensure that all customers can get the products. And the fine print of the coupon itself will always override the store policy. Cashiers should be reading the fine print and correcting people if they are using more than intended 😊
Former major couponer here. Medical issues made me stop, but I am slowly picking it up again. Just curious if you clip and save all of the coupons from the Sunday inserts or just those you think you will use?
Is there a limit on paper coupons at dollar general, I was just there and had 2 of the same kind and 2 other different ones, a total of 4, the cashier said I could only use 3...
