What is so crazy is how I once looked so very much like you . Well when I was in my younger days and if I had not smoked cigarettes for so many of them. Funny thing is that the truck you drove in this video was the kind of truck I liked in my younger days as well. My life was shattered by my father being a wife beater and a child abuser. I believe he murdered my mother when I was eight years old. That pain tore through me and my whole life. I had a very hard time being closs to others. I pushed love away and hurt other people in the process as well. I have so many regrets and wish I could take all those whom I hurt pain away today. I was an alcoholic for a number of years and though I don't drink today there is a bottle sitting on the shelf not far away from where I am sitting and the temptation to have a drink is strong. See today I am homeless and staying in a storage unit. I have lost everything again but, what is here around me. I am in a low place and I would give anything to have my life straightened out but, the light don't seem so bright at the end of the tunnel. I just don't want to be down like this and I know only I can fix this (me). See I am a smart guy at fixing things but, fixing me. A couple years ago I was led to something that took much of the pain away. I was going to hitchhike to a city 40 miles away to go to my mother's grave. As I walked in the night I believe that God led me to a piece of jewelry that was oval shaped and in the middle wear it was hollow was a blue ruby or sapphire and on both sides were these words carved into it. " I LOVE YOU TO THE MOON AND BACK " Proceeding this my girlfriend and I had a bit of a fuss and I had left. I called her and asked her to come get me and she did and I told her that I needed for her to take me to my mother's grave. We went there and I got down on my knees and told my mother how much I loved her and thanked her for being my mom. Then I pushed that piece of jewelry down in the dirt and as soon as my thumb separated from it the whole weight of the world left my heart and shoulders and that tape recording in my mind that would always play and rewind and play again vanished from my mind. My life was so painful that I ran like Forest Gump but, I ran from love too and good people like my last foster home which was my 7th but, they adopted myself and 3 of my siblings. I was 16 then and there began my wrong turns in life. See I became a petty thief and a drinker not caring for what the consequences could or would be. Today I am 56 years old and how time has raced by and so much of it wasted. I hope that somehow I find my way to some sense of a better life than this hand I hold today. See like a gambler I have had good hands and folded them when I should have held them. Like holding onto my marriage and step sons. Life was so good back then. Taking things and people for granted is not something I am proud of and I would give anything to have those choices to undo. I would like to say one thing to all you men and even women out here don't be afraid to love others especially the one who chose to marry you and to love you in the hopes of you always loving them back in return. Don't break someone else's heart by walking out on them because you will not only break their heart but, every single person's heart that cares about them as well and in the end your heart will be shattered as well because in the end that person you walk on and walked out on will be the one person you will find yourself thinking about and in the end you will have to admit truly loved you so much more than anyone you may ever meet again.
