Thank you for this! I was looking through the comments to see if anyone knew!
Could also be voles
I'm not sure about the UK, but here in Canada we have porcupines that climb trees and eat young bark.
It could come from sunburn as well.
Exposed beech branches get sunburned quite regularly
Just watched a documentary about invasive species. It's the Grey squirrel chewing through bark. They are not native to England but are replacing the Red Squirrel population over time.
The positive impact movement has on your mental and physical heath is incredible. It’s so easy to sit around and slowly lose mobility.
It is, I'm doing it right now!
Yeah, sitting kills. Your body literally rots. Keep on moving or start training today.
Oh yeah, for me its mostly cycling that keeps me sane at the moment. I'm not in the best mental state but riding erases so many bad thoughts.
@@malte3236 for me its swimming in the lake that cleans my mind a bit. keep fighting brother!
Sitting around is hard, im not sure what youre on about. If you stay moving its easy to keep moving
It's cool that all these guys that do tree climbing and jumping seem to be the happiest people you'll ever see.
There's something special about climbing a tree
@@user-zp4ge3yp2o 💯
It’s in our dna
As a kid playing you start climbing trees it's just natural 😅
I've known many depressed as fuck tree climbers but we move..
Watching Sebastien in Jump London, Jump Britain and then Casino Royale was what got me into parkour growing up - what an absolute legend
Retour la Racine for me
Holy fuck, it's Foucan, the OG parkour originator, awesome to see him in a vid
"SKY FALL not Casino Royal that Sebastian foucan started parkour stunts ❤
Sebastian feels like Grandmaster Yoda, teaching the Storror boys the playful and spiritual side of the sport. Loved it!
Precisely! Such a feel good video this one
Word!
poor benj missed this video out of all of them, also rememeber that about 70% of joiner videos are JUST benj and max, big up the caveman, their love for parkour is unlike anything i've ever seen from any other athlete.
And on top of that Benj is also a regular guest on Hazal's channel, some fun adventures there too!
I miss benj
Iam now realizing even more how much I missed Drew. His positive attitude, warm way of describing the little things and observations. Glad to see him again spreading joy next to Callum ;)
Benj been putting in a shift on the downlow for 5 years. Mvp indeed. Well deserved break ❤
5:18 and Benj still hasn't missed a Monday since this was posted on Tuesday! Yay Benj the streak lives!
Ha, true, I didn't even realise it's not Monday 😂
Would love to see the 1 mile straight mile challenge with Sebastian!
This needs to be one of the top comments
and find a mile long stretch of thick forest for that! ;)
yes
that or a camping trip with nature parkour and lots of water. that geowizard collab was so freaing fun.
and Pete
You can tell Max had so much fun. You all did great. Nice to finally see Drew.
Hell yeah, he was so happy
I felt legit bad for Benj not being there.
Felt like a proper fun one. Like finding out there was a great PE lesson the day you were off ill (he says as someone that's even older than Storror at 34).
This is what I needed this week 👊👊
I’d like to thank Sebastian for being part of my favourite movie scenes of all time. The Casino royale opening chase scene
Daniel Craig's James Bond is moving with the graciousness of a potato sack tryna catch him😂
@@viktortrubaiev Agreed. Craig's Bond was more like a "blunt instrument"
You guys (maybe not the full squad) need to go the the Pacific North West and do some tree climbing with gear. Toby has been doing so much real rock climbing and this isn't the first tree climbing video you guys have done. I used to climb 250ft+ trees with some friends. It's one of the most magical things you can do. There are companies in the US whose whole business is climbing trees, if you reach out to them, you'll find people who would want to take you up. I promise you, Toby, that this will be your favorite experience at height you've ever had.
And not to get crazy, but once you get good at climbing the trees and good at using the gear you can start doing literal Spiderman stuff. Swinging yourself into another tree, setting and line, ziplining into the next tree, jumping and swinging, grabbing a branch and pulling yourself in. Setting up a different line and through that process, you can literally move through the forest canopy 100ft up from tree to tree without having to go back down to the ground. Truly becoming Spiderman. It's too much fun and in some ways, actually safer than rock climbing.
Sounds awesome and would love to see the guys do that
What is the name of some the companies that offer guides for that?
I'm a tree climber in the pnw. Whose hiring for those jobs?
I'm a tree climber in the pnw. Whose hiring for those jobs?
America even commercialised the simple pleasure of climbing trees into a money making enterprise! Every darn thing has to be about making money.
the enormity of making a video with a pioneer like foucan is not to be understated. what a moment for the lads
The most recent episodes have really been my favorite. This feels like the golden age of Storror for real. Sacha is back too, feels good man
Toby, i flippin pray your ankle comes back stronger, and a swift a recovery and physio process. Youre an absolute inspiration
Didn't know Verky had had ankle issues of his own. Though not surprising given some of his somersault sends.
Hope they all get their spring and mobility back.
man its so nice seeing him after so many years still doing what he loves, it really shows that no matter how old you are you can still keep up, all the love to you guys
He's exactly as old as i am and i also climbed trees and small buildings, he was the guy that could do a palmspin in reverse.
I feel we all learn and love movement as a child. Then adulthood stifles that. Parkour carries it through for a lifetime. Way to keep it alive! ❤
Around the 11 minute mark when Toby was cheering on Sascha and 'ordering' him back up into the tree because he know he could do it and it would further build up Sascha's morale and pride as an athlete as he recovers, that was so awesome. Brotherhood in action 👍
Toby and Sacha are always close, but I feel particular since Toby's injury, he really gets him.
Seb is an absolute legend of the sport. So glad storror are acknowledging it.
You see a lot of comments from random people in social media when they see parkour clips, they comment something like, "Your joints will be gone in your 40s" "You will not be able to walk in your 50s", they're just projecting their own ailments. When you search the members of the Yamakasi group from the 90s, everyone of them are still physically fit, and that's the secret
Yep. A certain level of impact keeps bones and joints strong, but of course there's a limit where it can lead into fractures and damage. The danger is much bigger for people who are not used to moving like that though, since they don't use the whole body effectively to dampen impact. Use it or lose it.
Basically the same effect works for other things too, like mobility. In some Asian countries that have the squat down toilets even old people are generally able to do a full squat, since it's something they do multiple times each day through their whole lives. Western people often lose that ability decades earlier, even though all kids naturally squat a lot. We just don't need to do that, so many don't. I'm only 40 and already some of my peers can't for example tie their shoe laces without sitting on a bench or something, since they can't squat, bend down, or hold their balance for long enough. It's kind of sad.
One of main reasons for elderlies death is lost of balance and slips
"When you stop moving, you start dying." 🤷♂ There's a lot of truth to that.
You feelin' warm Sash?
Exhausted.
😂😂😂😂
Hands down the most inspirational dude.
Nice to see Drew back in action, solid flip. Keep it up
Definitely get Seb for a straight line challenge, dude is perfect for keeping everyone going. More tree videos also, how about a tree to tree transfer lol.
Putting the park in parkour there lads. Never seen this many sticks in one video.
Adding branches to the channel while staying true to the roots.
I'm sure if Callum sees this comment he'll be telling me to leaf it out but I'm sure he's all bark
sad benj couldn't make it to the shoot
@@vanoscrap-nb1go now we know where the issue stems from.
Dude is looking gooooood for 50, healthy body, healthy mind, healthy skin !
And they are some beautiful Oak trees, good to see people enjoying them in more than just a visual way
That part of the video when callum and josh stopped to apreciate the fact that sebastien is 50 years old made me smile enormously
27:44 💖
Its amazing he looks 30 if that.. I'm still confused haha
It's wild that he was older than Storror are now, when he did Casino Royale.
And that movie feels like it's been out there forever now.
Our utmost respect to Seb! You are THE legend. And I hope twenty years from now many youngins will call you lads the legends too. Btw after this, you boys should go tree climbing with
Leo for sure, lads. Amazing vid!
Toby's best quote. "I don't think a rabbit's coming up here"

Nah it’s 11:33 “Controversial opinion: sticks don’t matter in trees”
I think they do 😂
Porcupines chew bark.
Pray for toby and sacha to be well then ever 👏🏼
The moments after 28:00 is such a vibe. The music kicking in and the realization of the passage of time as you slightly hear the laughter, encouragement, and camaraderie between the guys.
The musics in this video were fitting so well! Congrats for the selection, it was giving the atmosphere needed to this lovely video.
It was so chilled and fit the vibes of the video so well
Absolutely 💯 🙌🏽
Anyone know what the songs are called?
8:58 This guy has an energy that Callum doesn't 😂😂😂
That’s the gnarliest scar i’ve ever seen, and i’ve seen a lot. 15:51
Storror are legends, but as you mentioned, without Sebastien, David, Yamakasi, whole group starting back then, we all wouldn't be where we are today. Been in the game since 2006. Thank you Sebastien, thank you Storror.
At 20:40 -- That's squirrel damage. (Source: I'm an arborist.) Most likely the invasive grey squirrel. btw...
So fun seeing you play in trees! My only frustration is that no one shoots (or edits into final cut) the leaves or bark so we can know *what* species of tree it is.
Regardless, they are all amazing specimens.
And what a day with Sebastien! Magnifique!
☮️❤😀

"do you feel warm, Sash?"
"exhausted."

No way this dude is 50! Well done man!
I loved how y'all ran after him xDDD. If a guy like that, 30 years deep into the sport is running spot to spot, then you fucking run, innit?
Is that Sebastian?? He and david got me into parkour as a kid, that's so sick hes still training
Not being mean, but I think these two legends got e v e r y o n e into parkour
@@ThePauseMenuVlog maybe people my age, I think storror might be the main thing inspiring people to train nowadays
@@sefflikejeff1917 I just meant it started from them. All roads lead to them eventually
@@ThePauseMenuVlog all roads lead to Herbert and unnamed Martinicans
@@sefflikejeff1917 i used to watch videos like damien walters when i was younger, always thought parkour was awesome, but it was not until i began watching storror recently that i started actually trying some movements. there is definitely something about their friendship and encouragement for each other that inspires.
I remember in school (I was probably like 13 or 14) having to write a project about one of your hero’s. Sebastian was who I wrote about. Seeing him work with your guys is such a full circle moment. I found Storror a few years ago and you inspired me to start training again. Keep up the good work.
It's funny to have this kind of experience with Sebastian. His personality and disposition have changed so much over the years, but the community hasn't seen enough of that and still holding the past against him. This was great! Also crazy to see his endurance and capability. Love that he pushed you guys so much too! And cool spots too!? This is an incredible video!
What past do people hold against him?
what happened
Honestly, of you don't know, if say keep it that way and move on, but if you still feel the need, then read on:
TL;DR: he used to be a staunch purist regarding the "sport" since he developed it very specifically.
Quite a while back, he said a lot of negative things about people adding flips or tricks to their movements. As the man responsible for parkour, he didn't want the name to be associated with anything other than its intended purpose, which was the fastest and most efficient movement between 2 points. While he had some good points, it was the entitlement and gatekeeping manner in which he did it that made a lot of people angry. He's publicly apologized and changed his stance, but people can hold a grudge.
@@riuphane I thought it was him who was ok with creative movements like flips, etc. and it was the other founder David Belle who had the problem with it. This is what is written in Free Running parkour federation's website -
"It was around this time that a personal split began to develop between Belle and Foucan, with Foucan ultimately going his own way. Proficient in English, Foucan brought the discipline to the UK where he chose to call it “Freerunning” rather than “Parkour”. This became a source of both confusion and conflict as people came to define Belle’s “Parkour” as the most efficient way from point A to point B (no flips or acrobatics), and Foucan’s “Freerunning” as the most creative way from A to B, embracing influences from other movement disciplines such as break dancing, martial arts tricking and capoeira. This controversy continues to this day amongst a small community of purists, although Belle himself is known to have used flips in his own practice

@@riuphane interesting thankyou
this is maybe the most pure joy I've ever seen in a storror video, instant classic. I wish benj had been there! we definitely need him and sab moving together
Seb trying to show you guys to be like the trees in life. Planted near water and always work to be refreshed! They lose their leaves and wait for their time be bright once again because everything has a time to be bright and shine.🎉 love to you men @storror
Vibes were absolutely immaculate in this video. Nothing but respect and joy between parkour legends.
It's hard to find words for this, I'm sure this was such a gratifying day for you all. Beyond being able to move like that at 50, I think the true beauty and what really made this such an experience is Seb's connection to parkour. We all remember the excitement when we started doing parkour as kids, where it was all discovery and joy every day, and how there was very little else in the way of that pure experience. Seb here was the personification of: "yeah, you can just shed everything else and go back to that". He helped me reconnect with that vision just by watching the video, so I can't imagine how it must have been to actually be there. Maybe we won't be able to do half what he does at his age when we get there, but if we preserve half the joy in his eyes... that will be all that matters.
5:16 benj my love!!! not used to watching storror videos without him
👏Big up Benj for the consistency the past 5 years!!!
This is a special one, the guy where it all started. Absolutely love his MINDSET! The joy and love of movement
You guys should do a video series where you train wiith a well known parkour athlete, they show you around their spots and talk about their methods
So good to see Seb still training. I had the pleasure of training with him while we were being filmed by the BBC for a documentary in Bristol many years ago.
What a lovely episode. Hugely inspiring to see Sebastian killing it at that age.
Age is just a number. I used to paraglide with a guy who was 81 and insisted on carrying my gear up the mountain for me "because he was a gentleman". He had no trouble carrying both our gear.
Use it, don't lose it.
Those trees are either saying: _"People love me with all this attention !"_ OR _"Get the fudge of me !"_ 😂
the trees are probably happy to have company
It depends on whether you help or hurt them. Like with all living beings. Also trees love hugging. Hence the term treehugging ;-).
I'll be 50 soon as well and you can train with me if you're in Berlin. The only thing I regret is that long break between climbing trees as a kid (I loved that) and finally starting parkour at 36.
Rock on. I’ll be 50 next month and this is so inspiring and refreshing. Cheers.
@@renelvital Thank you man! Do you also train or move?

Loved this session boys. Something about being in nature and climbing trees. Like a breath of fresh air.
Loved having Drew back commentating throughout as well.
Speaking as a non-athlete, his form is so smooth and gorgeous. It's clear why he's a legend.

Thank god drew back he really is the best narrator
It is a JOY to watch Sebastien move! You feel his love for motion, makes me want to strap on some joggers and go. Big ups for putting out this video, thanks Storror!

Such a legendary guest appearance. We need more old school legends. Did anyone say Daniel Ilibaca? We always played tag on this wooden playground. Watching you guys play follow the leader brought back all the memories.
For those wondering, the large faned out trees are Oak trees. Spooky energy tree #4 is an ancient Linden tree if i saw the leaves correctly. Linden trees used to be very common in the UK, now they are a sign of old and rare habitat.
Is it weird that i was kinda tearing up while Callum and Josh were talking about Sebastian? Such a fun a cute video
This is so insane to make a video with one of the forefathers of parkour...
30:20 Suddenly, everyone's speaking French.. good job callum 👏🏼👏🏼
Seb is such a vibe and I love it
The vibes were so wholesome and organic. So much appreciation for this group
That was the coolest thing I've watched in a while. Looks so fun! Here I am at 54 and can't be climbing trees. Man, so nice to see you guys doing it.
I was speaking to a 45 year old on the storror subreddit not long ago and they regret not hitting a specific spot when they were younger. I think this really goes to show that parkour is for all demographics
Anyways awesome video as usual guys you never disappoint. The next videos are always unpredictable lol
You lose some spring in your step after 35 but the real issue is recovery. What would have been minor injuries before accumulate if you keep a high level of activity.

Best episode ever. I hope we get some more return to nature videos.

Always a good time when drew and callum banter in the trees.
Great energy to this video

Max had some real bangers. That was a nice chill video. First time I’ve caught myself smiling at one of these in a while. Helps having Drew back. It’s not the same when someone is missing. Big up to Benj’s streak. Pretty we are watching someone do parkour and be in that condition at 50. Very inspirational.
Love watching the run and climb through the trees with Sebastien, pls more of this. There are so many parkour opportunities out in the natural world!
I've so proud to say I've met Seb a couple times. Shaking his hand is touching a piece of history! A founder of PK! O.G!!! Where's David Belle for the community he created???
It’s quiet difficult
I'm sure Sebastien is happy you guys are carrying on the spirit of what he started
Sébastien, David and Vigroux are the guys that got me into Parkour. Amazing collaboration
Such a wholesome video! Seb is literally the example of how you want your body to be at 50, incredible mate
