James Worthy, Guarding Michael or Bird. "Michael makes you look slow, Bird, makes you look stupid".
The chief is hilarious.
Ahhh, love the Chief!! Love all of that '80's ball!
Bird said Cooper was the best defender he ever played against.
Apparently he’s just a step behind God. Pretty high praise.
I watched their (Larry and Coop) entire careers. Larry is unquestionably right. And Coop could shoot and score and pass, too. He was the Lakers backup point after they traded Norm.
BTW, for those who question guys who were primarily 6th men like Coop and Bobby Jones, I will say I think they had a bigger positive impact on the game the guys who were simply solid starters, like Bill Bradley or Jamaal wilkes..
@@Amick44 Agreed. And I'd say Coop was easily one of the top five 6th men of all time.
Love Chief!!!!
Chief!!!!❤❤❤
Larry Bird, Coop and the Chief.
I miss the old NBA. 🤦🏼♂️
Congrats to you Coop!!
👏👏👏👏👏👏
classic Larry Legend!
What he did to Laimbeer probably made this guy the most beloved player in the league.
Funny thing was when Chief decked Laimbeer none of the Detroit player came over and defended the SOB.. lol
@@albertsebastian4489 Laimbeer had it coming. Though other Pistons were dirty, too.
@@Amick44 Exactly what Kevin Mchale said Laimbeer had it coming...
The way Laimbeer played, he had that...and a lot more...coming.
F that guy! (As a player, not a man)
ALL HAIL TO THE CHIEF!!!!!
Mr. Cooper congratulations sir on being a hall of famer👊🏽. Also thank you for making a a lot us day with the content you put out about the greatest era of basketball.
The Chief…great player and a very infectious laugh lol.
you wouldn’t know it from when he played cause he never smiled. chief!
Inhale to the Chief.
I like to see these two enjoying some laughs.
And good to see Coop get in (the Hall)!
Gotta love the Chief! Great on the court and looks like great in the locker room too.
Even this old Sixers fan can enjoy these stories. Thank u.
Never forget when he knock lambier down at center court and just walk away like nothing while lambier was complaining to refs
My mom liked Robert Parish. She always wanted to give him a mom hug.
Cooper and Parish are legends as well. I grew up watching them when I loved the NBA. I don’t watch anymore. It’s terrible now.
Best era of NBA basketball and it's not even debatable! ☘️🏀💪
Respect,respects and respect ,Legends
Love that Parish. Great tales. Thanks.
The "Chief" was a great player as well!
Love The Chief!!
Chief!
Love both these guys.....
I love and look up to Robert Parish. I’m too young to have seen them in person but I was 13 studying the Celtics and I just was like yeah this man is solid.
I recognized Parish's talent and potential when he came into the league with the Golden State Warriors. Needless to say the Chief was destined to be a great big man if on the right team. Boston would not have been as dominate as they were without him.
He ran the floor so well, among so many other great things he did.
Larry Legend
Wonderful stories with one of my favorite players. (I respect Coop, but I disliked the Lakers.) I could listen to Larry Bird stories all day. The Celtics would not have been the same without Robert, and the Celtics-Laker rivalry would not have been the same without Michael Cooper. The Chief was so dependable when Larry got him the ball down low, and Coop was so annoying with his great defense on the Legend. Robert always finished, usually with a thunderous dunk, and Michael was always attached to Larry like a suckerfish on a whale. 😂
That's why you would never in a million years take LeBron over Bird. Bird wants the responsibility of the last shot.
we are waaaaaaay too far into the youtube generation for there to still be ANYONE on any bball podcast saying the words "oh, did Bird talk trash?". Throw that guy outside.
🤣🤣🤣✌🏾
Hey bird did you run into a truck😄😄😄😃
Did Larry Bird say to Pete Maravich “ If you were any good, they wouldn’t be double teaming me”?
Yes but it fairness to Pete, it was at the end of his career, he wasn't "that guy" any more.
Whoever did the captioning can’t hear.
Only God could guard Bird and God better be having a good night or Larry will drop 40 on Him.
Pick and roll? 12 foot jump shot? What game is this? Looks like basketball, but why are they taking 2 point shots? I thought you got sat down for that.
Chief!
