My 1st Daytona was the year they shot Days of Thunder and in the race The Intimidator ran over the bell housing on the last lap to lose the lead which allowed Derrick Cope to win. Glad you got to see a fantastic race as well for your first!

Was my first time in Daytona for a 500 too! My god, what an AMAZING weekend! I was the guy that yelled at you from the grass on Saturday before the xfinity race. Haha Love your content man, keep it up!!!

That was my first full 500! Couldn’t make it on Monday in 2020 so this was my full experience, it was great! Wish I could have met you though

I remember seeing those banks for the first time irl. Man tv does not do it justice they are so big and so steep it’s crazy. Seems like a car would roll down the hill if it stopped in the turn

Wow, that looks awesome! What a great race! Thanks for sharing. Definitely want to take my son to that race someday. He’s five years old and the biggest racing fan ever. We went to our first races last year at TMS. The IndyCar and NASCAR All Star race. They were a lot of fun. Wish the fan zone was like what you saw there. Hopefully the infield will be fully open this year.

Man that is awesome, I have always wanted to go to Daytona, this year I am going to Talladega and the Nashville truck race
This was also my first time to Daytona ever and first time ever getting the fanzone passes. I'm 32 and been a fan since 1997, I think I spent 2 hours just sitting on the infield taking it all in because it is just so massive of a scale looking up at the grandstands. It was a bucket list item for me and I was like a euphoric happy state!

I got to do this in 2012 for my 18th Birthday as a Junior in High School while living in Brook Park in the Sandhurst House for the Jet Dryer incident and yes, Montoya was my driver at the time before the Dillon Bros came up to Cup so it was a pretty embarrassing moment for me as a fan to see in person. Awesome video Eric! I’m so glad you had fun and more importantly didn’t have to worry about the shitty ass Fox broadcast which was hot caca with way too many full screen commercials under green.
My son and I attended the race for the first time. Wow!!! It was a great experience and we'll be attending next year too.
Anyone else remember when Eric went to the 2016 Sprint Unlimited and he and his dad had to tightrope through the tunnel?
Tailgated at Taco Bell across the street then went to the race,last year was my first 500 and didn’t get the full experience, was a blast this time around

Best part about this, the midway and the packed stands it was like a pre-pandemic race day. Normalcy is slowly returning.

I went to Buc-ee’s for the first time after the Next Gen Test in January and I loved it I had A Grilled Cheese and it was so delicious and crunchy

Been there 4 times . Once inside its a great time. Getting out after is a nightmare. 2005 3 hours waiting for the bus to take us to our car. 2010 got to car quicker but 2 hours getting out of the lot

I'm from the UK and i have just bought a Colbri Daytona lighter.
It's huge big and black with a very large fuel tank ... i know why it is called the Daytona.
One day i will vist and take my lighter with me to watch NASCAR and love evey minute of it.

I was hoping you'd get to go to Daytona USA Museum but at least you got Dale Sr.'s Statue in front of the museum which by the way turns 20 this year as it was erected in 2002 as a tribute to the man himself, it's a beautiful statue.

Fox 30 WFOX-TV in Jacksonville, Florida aired Action Sports JAX Road to Victory Lane prior to NASCAR on Fox coverage of Daytona 500 with Brent Martineu, Dan Hicken, Marcell Robinson, Stuart Weber you saw a couple of them. From 2011-2015 NASCAR on Fox used NFL on Fox Theme for NASCAR Racing broadcasts Fox should bring back NFL on Fox Theme back.

Have tickets only a few rows back from the entrance to pit row. Never been before. When do they start letting people into the stands and when do the pre-race concerts start? How complicated is it getting from the free lot 7 to the gate? They don't have any useful info on the speedway site. I'm just clicking around to see what it's going to be like when i get there.
