My 1st Daytona was the year they shot Days of Thunder and in the race The Intimidator ran over the bell housing on the last lap to lose the lead which allowed Derrick Cope to win. Glad you got to see a fantastic race as well for your first!
Was my first time in Daytona for a 500 too! My god, what an AMAZING weekend! I was the guy that yelled at you from the grass on Saturday before the xfinity race. Haha Love your content man, keep it up!!!
It was an amazing experience at the Daytona 500!! I finally got to meet you man!!! You are so tall man, but in all seriousness you are so awesome the face of the NASCAR UA-cam community. Been watching you for 10 years!! Keep up the great work Eric!
Looks like you had an awesome experience! Awesome video as always Eric & was nice to get to see you in person by chance leaving and entering the Buc-ees Bathrooms LOL. Thank you for all you do!!
Thats awesome! I didn't know this was your first in person 500 ....with the way this channel and website are going it won't be long until you've visited every track on the schedule
Wow, that looks awesome! What a great race! Thanks for sharing. Definitely want to take my son to that race someday. He’s five years old and the biggest racing fan ever. We went to our first races last year at TMS. The IndyCar and NASCAR All Star race. They were a lot of fun. Wish the fan zone was like what you saw there. Hopefully the infield will be fully open this year.
This was also my first time to Daytona ever and first time ever getting the fanzone passes. I'm 32 and been a fan since 1997, I think I spent 2 hours just sitting on the infield taking it all in because it is just so massive of a scale looking up at the grandstands. It was a bucket list item for me and I was like a euphoric happy state!
wish ya had a little more video of the race and your real time reactions, but i get it, I'm sure you just want to enjoy the race. Great video regardless, thank you, all that infield & prerace shenanigans looked fun as hell
I got to do this in 2012 for my 18th Birthday as a Junior in High School while living in Brook Park in the Sandhurst House for the Jet Dryer incident and yes, Montoya was my driver at the time before the Dillon Bros came up to Cup so it was a pretty embarrassing moment for me as a fan to see in person. Awesome video Eric! I’m so glad you had fun and more importantly didn’t have to worry about the shitty ass Fox broadcast which was hot caca with way too many full screen commercials under green.
Tailgated at Taco Bell across the street then went to the race, last year was my first 500 and didn’t get the full experience, was a blast this time around
I’ve been the track for Daytona turkey trot, but never been to a actual race. If I was to go that would just be a rememberable experience! I’ll get out to Daytona for a race eventually!
It’s on mine I’m going to Martinsville the 9th of April witch happens to be my birthday then I’m going to Bristol dirt the next week hopefully he’s there for one of them
I remember seeing those banks for the first time irl. Man tv does not do it justice they are so big and so steep it’s crazy. Seems like a car would roll down the hill if it stopped in the turn
Been there 4 times . Once inside its a great time. Getting out after is a nightmare. 2005 3 hours waiting for the bus to take us to our car. 2010 got to car quicker but 2 hours getting out of the lot
I'm from the UK and i have just bought a Colbri Daytona lighter. It's huge big and black with a very large fuel tank ... i know why it is called the Daytona. One day i will vist and take my lighter with me to watch NASCAR and love evey minute of it.
Have tickets only a few rows back from the entrance to pit row. Never been before. When do they start letting people into the stands and when do the pre-race concerts start? How complicated is it getting from the free lot 7 to the gate? They don't have any useful info on the speedway site. I'm just clicking around to see what it's going to be like when i get there.
@EricEstepp in your thumbnail. Right below your thumb is two people, one in a red shirt and one in a yellow hoodie. (Kyle Busch hoodie) And that me and my dad!
I was hoping you'd get to go to Daytona USA Museum but at least you got Dale Sr.'s Statue in front of the museum which by the way turns 20 this year as it was erected in 2002 as a tribute to the man himself, it's a beautiful statue.
I was there for my first 500 too. It was a absolute dream come true
I was there too, it was my first time going to the track, and it was my going to the Daytona 500 in person
Hoping to attend next year looking foward to my first Nascar race , usually a Monster Jam dude. Awesome video Eric!
Are you ready?
No better feeling than getting up early on race day and headin to the track you can truly feel it in the air it’s amazing.
My wife and I love your show. I've whatched nascar since 1979 and my wife 4 years ago. I work at 3 am and she always gets up to whatcha. Thanks

I’ve been to the 500 three times now and I get amazed every time. I got to take a picture with you at the Toyota booth

I am really glad I met ya man, hoping you come next year!
A really great video. I kknow it took a lot of work to record & edit. The views you gave us really makes one want to go next year.
That was my first full 500! Couldn’t make it on Monday in 2020 so this was my full experience, it was great! Wish I could have met you though
Thanks for the “ride-along”. That COOL!!! I was once in late 70’s! No race, it was part of a marching band competition! That banking is STEEP!!!
Awesome vlog! It’s great to see so many fans come over to Daytona and see all the races this year!
I plan to go to the Daytona 500 next year. If you went next year, it’d be cool to meet you. Great videos Eric!
I've gotta long bucket list of races to see, and this year I got to mark off the Daytona 500 too. Next year I've gotta see the Indy 500.
Videos are awesome man! Maybe I’ll see you at Dega or Atlanta. Out of the Groove is awesome and great for fans of all ages. Keep it up brother!
It was so nice to meet you at the duels Eric😁
My son and I attended the race for the first time. Wow!!! It was a great experience and we'll be attending next year too.

Ended up meeting you there, Eric. Had a blast
I hope to see you someday whenever I go to a NASCAR race in person. Looks a fun time.
I was there for the Daytona 500, it was my first time going to the Daytona 500 in person, it has been my dream for a long time, and my dream came true
Best part about this, the midway and the packed stands it was like a pre-pandemic race day. Normalcy is slowly returning.
I rented a Sonata and noticed it fit my frame as well.
You might have big and tall car reviews in your future, Eric.
I was at the Daytona 500 this year ... it was an incredible event.
Man that is awesome, I have always wanted to go to Daytona, this year I am going to Talladega and the Nashville truck race
Eric odds are you won’t remember me but I met ya on Sunday and took a picture with ya, it was really nice to meet you and realize how tall you were! 😂
I’ve been the track for Daytona turkey trot, but never been to a actual race. If I was to go that would just be a rememberable experience! I’ll get out to Daytona for a race eventually!
My head was playing the Days of Thunder intro music when Eric was filming the sunrise
One day, I would go in that track…
One love from South-East Asian NASCAR fan bro
I was there in 2020 for the 500. It was an awesome experience!
It sucks I couldn't make it to the 500 this year, but next year knock on wood! Hopefully Martinsville is on your radar this year! 👀
It’s on mine I’m going to Martinsville the 9th of April witch happens to be my birthday then I’m going to Bristol dirt the next week hopefully he’s there for one of them

Massive W coming to the 500
I have actually been to the Daytona 500 almost ten years ago now. This was just a few months before the renovations started.
Awesome video Eric
Anyone else remember when Eric went to the 2016 Sprint Unlimited and he and his dad had to tightrope through the tunnel?
Been there in the 90's. Live in Oregon now. You did a great job.
Thanx for another awesome vid. I sometimes wonder if you were trained on editing and film (j/k) This was easily your best
Great work. So can you literally stand in the pits with the fan
Zone pass?
Great vid! Hope to see you at Phoenix!!!
You were the reason I went to the 2022 pocono race
Great video. Any idea how you'd get from the infield up into the seats before the race starts?
the daytona 500 is one of the races on my bucket list
I remember seeing those banks for the first time irl. Man tv does not do it justice they are so big and so steep it’s crazy. Seems like a car would roll down the hill if it stopped in the turn
I felt that sunrise shot... Not much more exciting than a morning like that!
That new Toyota fusion truck is nice
Love the vlog!
that Matt DiBenedetto joke was great lol
Sweet, I was at the 500 too. But I was not able to meet you in person.
Been there 4 times . Once inside its a great time. Getting out after is a nightmare. 2005 3 hours waiting for the bus to take us to our car. 2010 got to car quicker but 2 hours getting out of the lot

The best 500 yet!

I went to Buc-ee’s for the first time after the Next Gen Test in January and I loved it I had A Grilled Cheese and it was so delicious and crunchy
I was there but didn’t see you. I did see Darian (BFM) at Hooters on Friday
Just plain great vid Eric! Thanks.. S
it was a good race other than the choo choo trains lol

Eric, we’re doing the Daytona 500 this year. We’re travelling from Ireland. How is the parking on race day?
this year was the 64th daytona 500 and 6-4 is 2 and the 2 car won and 2 days later the day was 2/22/22 and it was a tuesday...

I was standing right next to Eric when he was at the Austin Dillon garage clip and looked and and was so shocked too see Eric
I’m going to go to my first race in September for the Bristol fall race. It will probably be good sense its a playoff race.
I was hoping you'd get to go to Daytona USA Museum but at least you got Dale Sr.'s Statue in front of the museum which by the way turns 20 this year as it was erected in 2002 as a tribute to the man himself, it's a beautiful statue.
Can’t wait for my first race!
