Such a Gorgeous bike man! Almost makes you not want to ride it and just hang it on the wall.. . Or put it in a corner inside the house as a conversation piece... lol.
Nice one. I was gonna go with the 350 but I'm so used to the 250 and the 17' motor is way better than the previous one, so I'm going 250F again. With the right tweaks it can be a rocket in the woods ;-)
Unbelievable set up. Must be a pleasure to crack into a cold one and admire this beauty. Does the 2017 EXC 350 Six Days come with a radiator fan? Also, does it have a metal protector around the radiator. I've seen aftermarket version but just wondering if the SIX version includes these two mods? Thanks for posting this video. :)
Thanks for your positive comments! Really enjoying the bike. I've already racked up 15 hours on the bike. The six days bikes come with radiator fans as standard but don't come with radiator braces. The new shape radiator guards are extremely strong and offer a lot of protection for impact. They are made from reinforced ABS plastic which hopefully will do a good job.
Really nice bike ! Is there any big difference between 350 EXC and 450 EXC? I think about 450 EXC because I am afraid of less power 350 EXC. Any advice and opinion? Thank you and have fun :-)
Based on the 2015/16 models the 450 is a very good bike! Unfortunately I haven't had a chance to ride the 2017 450 EXC yet. I think the 450 is very good with a Rekluse clutch... It's just a bit too heavy in the tight/technical sections which the 350 handles very well!
+Tomáš Procházka there's not a lot in it! Yes the 450 will go faster in a straight line, but the 350 is agile and also has plenty of power. I got the Akropovic exhaust to give it a bit more power and also changed the throttle cam for a more aggressive response. The 450 will become tiring on long rides! 😃
do you mind sharing what throttle cam manufacturer you used and what lead to the decision? Did you consider in addition to exhaust more engine mods instead of the throttle cam. Just curious if you had dependable intel and how the upgrade has effected the response throughout the range. assuming it's most noticeable in 1st and 2nd?
The throttle cam is standard KTM and has been changed to the more aggressive option. The exhaust apparently gives the bike more BHP but just sounds soooooo much better!
How are you finding the seat comfort? I see a lot of guys upgrading to the Seat Concepts. Is 2017 any different in terms of the stock seat being not very comfortable or is the Six Days version more comfortable and not needed. Would like to do a tiny bit of hwy use to explore the mountains and adventure trips. Thanks again for all the info.
The Six Days has extras which is why it is more expensive. More details can be found on the KTM website but just to give you an idea... the Six Days has an orange frame, orange tripple clamps, bash plate, different seat cover, floating front disc, front axle puller, different silencer, solid rear disc, black handlebars and the traction control / mapping button.
I did 150 hours on this bike and never touched anything engine related. Just regular oil/oil filter changes every 6 hours. It ran faultlessly during my ownership 👍🏻
@@PetrolHeadGunner There have been more reports than I can count of faulty oil pump gears causing motor seizures. Its easily fixable but if it’s overlooked it’s fatal. On the other hand there are just as many accounts of faultless service from these engines.
@@PetrolHeadGunner I don't know all the details but I'm thinking it had a lot to do with how they were ridden and the temperatures. I'm betting the failures were from bikes that were raced and raced in hotter temperatures. Maybe even bikes that were running a bit lean and so the engine was running much hotter than that gear was designed to withstand. A lot of guys here in the states would just replace that gear as a matter of course and move on with good service. Not sure where you're located though I guessed Central Europe from just glancing at the video but it gets hotter than hell in much of the United States.
Thank you for the great info. I tried contacting ET James to find out how I could get those green number plates. No luck. Any chance you have any further info. I tried searching google and no luck with 2017's. THanks
1 and 2 are the two different mapping options. 1 is standard, 2 is aggressive. TC is traction control! This is standard on the 2017 six day four strokes!
I've got the '17' 500 6 days on order and am concerned that again KTM stock doesn't deliver the sound that I want, tipping you've made the change for that reason?
+Brad in all honesty I've always found the 500 perfect with the standard exhaust system. With an aftermarket pipe it can make it a bit of a handful. I got the Akro to get S tiny bit more power out if the little 350. If I were getting a 500 I would put the money towards a Rekluse instead... It transforms the 500 into an amazing bike! Just my view anyway... 😊
Rekluse clutch? Cheers for the advice, 350 is a weapon on dirt and alike, I do a lot of desert/sand riding hence 500, guess I'll have to wait to next month to hear it to make a call on the sound! Cheers
Bike of a lifetime right here. NICE!

Assuming those number green number panels are decals/sticker that fit nicely in place eh? Love the Green Spanish look.
in my childhood I liked motorcross..... I tried to get it.... God's sustenance is vast
Great bike mate, looks mint. 👍🏻

amazing bike man really looks amazing! Hope it brings many hours of fun!
Thanks very much!! She's on just under 11 hours now

Ill stick with my 500 exc and for single track my husa 300. This does have me thinking though.

What about the engine power comparision? Has the 350 much less power than 450? :-) Thanks for response.

So lets make some videos for us :-)))

The seat is very comfortable! I normally use the Acerbis X-Seat but will be sticking with the standard one as it's very good!
So are the six day models dual sport?
Sweet ride man
what is the difference between and exc and an exc 6days?

Look at the Ktm web site
I know this is an old video but I was just curious if you replaced the defective oil pump gear or had any issue with the stock one?

@@Dashriprock4 that’s interesting. My family have owned 5+ 350 KTM over the years and all have been ok. Must of got lucky 😬

Its there any diffrence in sound to the stock silencer?
There is a noticeable difference! It's deeper but not excessively loud. Watch my other vids for engine noise 😃
alguno Más?
What are those numbers at the clutch and tc !? Btw awesome bike
Zizibaby Fn thank you! This is the traction control and mapping options
Nice 👍🏻
How many horse power do you have ? Nice bike !
I think the 350ccm has about 45-48hp...at least the 250ccm has 40hp
como funciona el mapa de potencia 1 es más o menos potencia? 2 ??

Try Amped 👍🏻
What are the service intervals?
I'm changing the oil and oil filter every 6 hours use. I am also changing the air filter every ride! Thanks
what is the black box on the left handelbar with tc 1 2 on it?

Hi, is this with baffle in or out?
procesgnilny this is with the spark arrestor in! Completely standard
where did you get the green number plates ?
I got them from E T James in Wales! They are a KTM dealer. Highly recommend them 😃
PetrolHeadGunner is the Akrapovic legalized on the Street ?
Why are you giving it gas before starting, it does nothing on efi.
What does the yellow button at here 2:02 ? And this 3:55 ?
That's the traction control and mapping button 😜
That pipe isn't stock is it?
No, that's an Akrapovic silencer Brad!

Everything is beautiful, but without the Kick-it does not Enduro.
I've done 20 hours so far on the bike and I've had no trouble 👌🏻
Maybe I seem old-fashioned, but a kick in my opinion add bike reliability.
theres always hill starts
You can always add one.
Topppppppp
Never heard back from him. Guess he's swamped selling new KTM"s.
