This was an excellent presentation on a truly great American. As a Virginian he was my, like many of my contemporaries, boyhood hero, and remains so to this day. It saddens me to see the recent misguided attacks on his memory including the desecration of the many memorials erected in his honor around the country. Lee was not only a great military leader but without his post war example, healing and reconciliation would not have been possible. This is why people on all sides respected him. Good job Rogue Librarian. I would however like to point out one minor error in your presentation on which I am sure you simply misspoke. The Lee family moved to Alexandria VA, not Atlanta, upon departing Stratford Hall plantation in Westmoreland County, Virginia. But I am certain you know that. Thanks again.
