@Homeslicehero have you not heard a single korn song? Dudes been through a lot of fucked up shit, and just saying that his wife died isn’t just all that and shouldn’t even be a common thing to say like that, losing someone is probably a REALLY fucked up experience man, especially if you love them. I know this video is 4 years old but I just came across it. I went to see Korn last Monday on 9/16/04 in Alpharetta, GA with my ex husband 57 and my middle daughter 32. Like Jonathan said at the concert "only a handful of bands are still going after 30 years and being crowds like they do, that consist of OG'S and then young kids as new fans." I first heard Korn in 98 while I was getting my belly button pierced bc the guy piercing my belly button was banging his head to them as he was pushing the needle thru my belly button. After I left the tattoo parlor I had to go buy my first cassette. Korn has been my favorite band for 26 years and I finally got to go see them live and they were awesome! Most of the songs sounded just like on the CD's. And the energy from the crowd was amazing. It's Korn's 30th anniversary and Jonathan is 53 years old and he still kicks ass. I am 53 and wasn't even in the pit but I was sore as F the next day so Jonathan and his awesome performance impressed me very much. Amazing show, amazing band and what an amazing night! Thank you Jonathan Davis and the band of Korn for one of the best nights of my life!

Jonathan Davis used to visit us at the USO when I was in the Army. He is the coolest guy ever!! I was definitely at a low point after deployment to Iraq, and just to hang with him was awesome! He really helped me out during a dark point in my life.
Jon Davis is what every metal kid wishes they were. Down to earth, successful, frontman of the heaviest band since Sabbath hit the 70's....... fantastic podcast!!! REAL TALK.
Yeah man. I love Jonathan, but when people oversell a person like that it takes away the actual merit that the person has. He is a great person and a talented musician. Let's not get into superlatives.
KoRn are for sure the Black Sabbath of the 90s...Or maybe you could call them the Led Zeppelin of the 90s because even though KoRn were massively popular their music is a conglomerate of many different genres so they never truly ever fit in with just one genre.
I've said it a lot myself, and I'm surprised it hasn't happened. He and Joe have a lot in common. They're kind of centrists politically, like hunting, and are into a lot of different things. I think Jon would have a lot of great stories in a good 3 hour setting.

My hometown boy I fucking love it. Korn cut their first album in Buck Owens recording studio right across the street from my elementary and middle school. I grew up going to watch them play at places like Jerry’s Piazza and other tiny venues. I love that he came back to live here.
More KoRn members plz!! Next should be Brian "Head" !! He has insane story of getting sober too! Glad drugs didnt ruin these guys. It happens so often...so sad.
I am a 43 yr old dude and it made me cry!!! Especially being a Daddy to a young woman. Being a fan of the band going back to '94, i was lucky to go to Woodstock '99 and seen them. To know after watching the doc that after that concert Heads personal life became such a shit show in regards to his wife and the drugs etc etc. And to see the redemption of both Brian and Jennea at the end was a "whos cutting onions" moment. Im not gonna lie, that when they showed him playin w Korn for the first time in 8 years at Carolina gave me goosebumps. The doc is so well done that i think a non-fan of the band would watch and be positively surprised and inspired!!! Sorry for the long ass comment!!! Lol
I LOVE LOVE Jonathan Davis!!!! I saw Korn back at Family Values Tour 1999, a week after I had my daughter. Then Korn was my daughters 2nd concert, my sons 1st concert, when they were 6 and 8 years old!! Which would've been Ozzfest 2007? My son fell asleep right before they came on stage and slept thru them. My daughter is now 23 and I think she has seen Korn more than any other band!
This is the most comfortable Ive ever seen JD be in an interview he told alot of stories hes never told before. Ive seen all of his interviews on YT and this was his best one yet. Awesome job Steve 0. Two legends of my upbringing
“The nothing” completely broke my mind, I had a full mental breakdown one day listening to it. The funny thing is, that same album pulled me back up into the land of the living and helped me better myself. It’s still my favourite album and I listen to it regularly. Thank you Jonathan, I know you will never read this but thank you.

Korn will always be my favorite band. Thank you Steve-O! In case you didn't know, the bass player, Fieldy wrote about you in his book. He regretted snubbing you at a party once, but back then he was a different person. Glad to see the comradery in this podcast.
I'm a huge Korn fan, seen them live over a dozen times, best show was when they played their first album in full plus greatest hits encore. Thank you Steve-O for having JD on.
I'm a bit new here, love Steve-O, love the show and LOVE Korn... but this other dude can get lost.. he asks the dumbest dipshit questions smh. #triggered
For real. Either they haven't seen Blind during Woodstock '99 or they were just fucking with him lol because that crowd alone was fucking insane. That wave is the craziest I've seen.
Maybe back in the day but I just went to a korn concert last month and it was a crowd made up of kids in strollers all the way up to senior citizens and all ages in between.
“I CAN SEE I CAN SEE IM GOIN BLIND - I CAH SEE I CAn SeeE um GAWN BLYND” Edit: I used to listen to Korn religiously back in like 5th grade - (They were the first “heavy” band I listened to) I’m into all sorts of music now. I used to listen to Korn because it fit my punk attitude, then I quit for a few years. I’m 24 now and went back just to reminisce and I dig the heavy tracks, but I also understand the music now. Instead of just banging out to it, I get were Johnathan is coming from and now I have a whole lot of respect for him and the entire band, although I know it’s not everyone’s taste of music and I totally understand. It’s hard to explain and I’m sure it’s hard to understand what I mean by that, but if you know, you know. It’s something you have to experience for yourself. Some will get it and some wont. Those are just my thoughts on it, but anyway Rad ass interview. JD is the man!
I’m 16 and I’ve started to get into heavier music which I’ve enjoyed because it seems to have more substance and meaning then like pop and stuff and I do like pop but I just don’t feel like I can connect with it as well if that makes sense lol
Aww Jonathan Davis is so soft spoken! I could watch and listen to him all day! Much love though and respect! Thank y'all so much for 30 yrs of rocking my bass ! 30yrs y'all are just getting going! Love you JD ok you wont read this comment I just wanted to give love to y'all,! Hella band,!
Takes more energy to be depressed or angry the last five years I've calmed down so much I literally don't let shit get to me because I am only in control of how I react to anger and shit so I've definitely grown!
The fact that I can have Steve-O and Jonathan in the same video makes me unbelievably happy. Steve-O just makes me laugh so much and people find it weird that Jonathan's voice can calm me and help me go to sleep. I love them both and think they are truly gifted people.
I swear Korn helped save my life. Through depression their music, although it seems dark, somehow gave me some light. It's so cool that he's a solid dude. I'm glad he's still here after all the shit he's been through. Mad respect
My dad saw KoRn quite a few times in the early 2000s (2000, 2001,2002) I grew up listening to them, when I was 17 I was working in staging and got to set up for KoRn and it absolutely blew my mind, all these years later, I was unloading their trucks and building their set.
Nice, bro that is awesome! I have seen them live twice and absolutely loved it! I will for sure see them in 2024 as well if they come to a venue anywhere near me!
Love JD man! 35 and been listening to them since I was 12. Awesome band, awesome dudes! He’s such a chill down to earth interesting guy and one of my favorite vocalists in any kind of music! I could listen to him talk and tell stories all day man!
A couple years ago, Korn played at Rock USA in Oshkosh, Wisconsin. My uncle’s buddy was head of security, and Jonathan asked him to take him and his son to a circus nearby to make sure there wouldn’t be any problems. I heard Jonathan was a super chill guy and truly cared about having quality time with his son, even on tour!
I was going to see them in July but it got postponed until next year. They also changed the dates from July to June so I'm praying to god I can go and have the time of my life.
I never knew Steve-O interviewed one of my heroes, it's two years late but it's good to see everyone and Jon doing well. Korn's music got me, like a lot of others, through rough shit. Their stuff still slams. Now I know why that cover track appeared out of nowhere, good stuff helping the kids as always!
It's awesome and surprising how down to earth Jonathan is. I've seen Korn a few times. One of which was Woodstock 99 which was a wild experience, they were great!
Younger generations are still into Korn because the music transcends time. It's fucking amazing and the year doesn't make a difference. When so much of someone is in the music they make, it will last forever.
I just found the old Korn-Who then Now VHS in an old box in the basement from back in the 90s as a teenager. No VCR thou. I just remember the copious amounts of Coors Light drank in it.
Jonathan Davis is such a likeable guy. After all that man's been through it's such a joy to see him smile

Jonathan Davis used to visit us at the USO when I was in the Army. He is the coolest guy ever!! I was definitely at a low point after deployment to Iraq, and just to hang with him was awesome! He really helped me out during a dark point in my life.
I remember seeing the Freak on a Leash music video on MTV as a kid, with the bullet flying around in slow mo and all that l. I love Korn
Jon Davis is what every metal kid wishes they were. Down to earth, successful, frontman of the heaviest band since Sabbath hit the 70's....... fantastic podcast!!! REAL TALK.
Heaviest band?!? Not even close.... and there is A big difference between metal and NUmetal...
Yeah man. I love Jonathan, but when people oversell a person like that it takes away the actual merit that the person has.
He is a great person and a talented musician. Let's not get into superlatives.
@@dustindock8599 have you heard thier new shit, oh yeah they are one of the heavyest
KoRn are for sure the Black Sabbath of the 90s...Or maybe you could call them the Led Zeppelin of the 90s because even though KoRn were massively popular their music is a conglomerate of many different genres so they never truly ever fit in with just one genre.
Jonathan should be on Joe Rogan Experience! Love that guy!
SO TRUE
just commented that the second time yesterday
I've said it a lot myself, and I'm surprised it hasn't happened. He and Joe have a lot in common. They're kind of centrists politically, like hunting, and are into a lot of different things. I think Jon would have a lot of great stories in a good 3 hour setting.
agreed
Yeah! Can’t wait for Joe to ask him if he’s done DMT.
He always seemed to be a very humble and classy rocker.
Lol, you must not have watched that video with him going through his mansion and showing off all his serial killer memorabilia.
@@williambrandondavis6897 yeah I don't care to spend my time watching reading US Weekly and watching videos about how celebs didn't their money...
@@williambrandondavis6897 who's to say serial killer memorabilia isn't classy?
Jonathan got me through some of the darkest moments of my life. I could never thank him enough for his music.
Same!
Just do yourself a huge favor and listen to 'In Dark December' on UA-cam. JD is obviously one of his inspirations. Thank me later. Tyler Moffitt is so underrated and NEEDs to be heard, he could surly help a lot of people. Chris Nitta on that channel is also him. He does the drums with his own drums ALL guitar, bass, singing and etc. He mixes and masters and produces. Always supplies fresh new work. Go ahead and show him some love.
His wifey- Michelle, East Tennessee

Such a precious human
Yeah dude, I love Korn. I listened to them religiously back in high school, they inspired me to pick up a 7-string guitar.
@Sweet Jones III edgy m8, your parents are proud.
@Sweet Jones III Imagine saying someone sucks at guitar. Do you get that from your parents?
Also you met Vinnie dude? That's sick!
Kyoko hell yeah, I met Vinnie Paul just a few months before he died, so that was both a shock and an honor.
Love the pick with vinnie🤟
My hometown boy I fucking love it. Korn cut their first album in Buck Owens recording studio right across the street from my elementary and middle school. I grew up going to watch them play at places like Jerry’s Piazza and other tiny venues. I love that he came back to live here.
They still own that building in Oildale.
Jonathan is a beautiful soul.
More KoRn members plz!! Next should be Brian "Head" !! He has insane story of getting sober too! Glad drugs didnt ruin these guys. It happens so often...so sad.
Check out Loud Krazy Love if ya havent already.
@@ericjohn8466 I watched it not long after I read his book! I cried😂
Lol
@@ericjohn8466 don't be sorry. I am off to watch it...
Yes! Seeing head on here would be soooo sick!
I still have the family values tour CD
This is an '80's kids dream, Korn + Steve O 😁😁😁
90s kids too!
Korn wasn't popular until the late 90's and Steve-O wasn't popular until the early 2000's though

It's a beautiful album. it's painful for me to listen to it but the few times I do, it's lovely.
Music is so powerful . Totally agree 👍🙌💪
My heart goes out to him and his sons. I didn't know about his wife. God bless yall
Yeah it was very sad. He's a very strong man.
Its hard to watch your spouse get high while your sober, glad he stayed clean its not easy i know this from experience
ARE YOU REEEADY
@@williamkulas1571 yeah honestly I don't know he stayed sober through that all. Not only the temptation but the stress of dealing with someone else's serious drug problems.

Korn was the soundtrack of the best summer of my life. They really meant a lot to me and my friends. Cool to see him doing well.
Same here! Summer of 1998, hanging with my friends on the beach in South Carolina the week FTL was released. Hearing that album for the first time was something pretty special!
If I recall correctly Jonathan’s grandma was my grandma’s neighbor. My childhood was poor but my music was rich. Looking back nostalgia is my best friend.
Thank you John from another John.
Definately one of the best guests outside of Jackass you could have got.
I AGREE, this show just rock in all aspects the ?'s the answers. It was pure truth and love.
Jonathan saved my life. Not a rare thing amongst us KoRn kids.
@@cowsdotricks Definately something all KoRn fans have in common. Much love to everyone, hope your lives are great.

Right?! Korn, Disturbed and System of a Down made up half of my middle school ipod playlist.

Lol, I brought youtube up and see Steve-o and Jonathan Davis. That's a big hell ya. Two cool dudes
Respect to my bro’s and everyone else in here.
I remember when the first album came out. Never heard anything like it and his voice was and the way he sang the songs.. you just knew this band was special.
Korn will always be my favorite band. Thank you Steve-O!
In case you didn't know, the bass player, Fieldy wrote about you in his book. He regretted snubbing you at a party once, but back then he was a different person. Glad to see the comradery in this podcast.
Steve-O kicking much ass with this podcast!
I'm a huge Korn fan, seen them live over a dozen times, best show was when they played their first album in full plus greatest hits encore.
Thank you Steve-O for having JD on.
that sounds amazing. I would pay any amount to see them play their whole first album
Steve-O is gonna be bigger than Rogan.
Fuck yeah
He's definitely more entertaining! I also don't see Steve-O selling out to Spotify or the likes either.
Well if he is, he with have Rogan to thank. This format did not exist prior to what he did. And also, Spotify sucks.
He should have rogan on as a guest
I'm a bit new here, love Steve-O, love the show and LOVE Korn... but this other dude can get lost.. he asks the dumbest dipshit questions smh. #triggered
"Jonathan, have you dealt with a lot of unruly crowds yourself?"
His entire fanbase in a nutshell
For real. Either they haven't seen Blind during Woodstock '99 or they were just fucking with him lol because that crowd alone was fucking insane. That wave is the craziest I've seen.
🤣🤣 I know..I avout.pissed myself whe. He asked him that so seriously.. like, really...!?!
@@andymanson3836 probably just asking him that so he had the opportunity to tell a story about a good show/crowd
Maybe back in the day but I just went to a korn concert last month and it was a crowd made up of kids in strollers all the way up to senior citizens and all ages in between.
Omg... I literally just screamed “Yes!!!”, when I saw this!!!!!!
Rare to see JD looking this stable and full of life, love it.
“I CAN SEE I CAN SEE IM GOIN BLIND - I CAH SEE I CAn SeeE um GAWN BLYND”
Edit: I used to listen to Korn religiously back in like 5th grade - (They were the first “heavy” band I listened to)
I’m into all sorts of music now.
You can or cant
I’m 16 and I’ve started to get into heavier music which I’ve enjoyed because it seems to have more substance and meaning then like pop and stuff and I do like pop but I just don’t feel like I can connect with it as well if that makes sense lol
Steve-O, I love you - I’m so glad you’re sober and alive - love this shit! ❤️
Johnathan David's music saved my life. Love this man.
OMFG!!! My dream guest! May favorite singer! Hell Yeah!

Jonathan is one of my all time favorite singers, this was awesome!

Love JD man! 35 and been listening to them since I was 12. Awesome band, awesome dudes! He’s such a chill down to earth interesting guy and one of my favorite vocalists in any kind of music! I could listen to him talk and tell stories all day man!
Great interview. So good to hear that both Jonathan and Steve O have been able to maintain their sobriety for so long. ❤️
Great Episode Stev-O: love the people you bring on. Korn is a great band. Would love to see them live again once things are normal.
I was going to see them in July but it got postponed until next year. They also changed the dates from July to June so I'm praying to god I can go and have the time of my life.
He still lives in Bakersfield? That's cool.
Bakersfield checking in!
I'm so sorry you had to go thru such a tragic loss. Those circumstances just prove how much strength Jon has to live. Live and love
Best interview so far. This guy is interesting as hell, very natural, the chemistry is there.

The nothing is a great album. Thank you Jon for the music, really helps me with personal problems.
Saw them in 07 one of the best live shows I've ever seen
It's awesome and surprising how down to earth Jonathan is. I've seen Korn a few times. One of which was Woodstock 99 which was a wild experience, they were great!
Younger generations are still into Korn because the music transcends time. It's fucking amazing and the year doesn't make a difference. When so much of someone is in the music they make, it will last forever.
I just found the old Korn-Who then Now VHS in an old box in the basement from back in the 90s as a teenager. No VCR thou. I just remember the copious amounts of Coors Light drank in it.
