Great video! Moving the power button and usb input to the front makes things easier

Hey Colin, I was wondering if you noticed any improvement using those stone slabs under your printers? Is it worth going that route?

It makes printing quieter. But you also need some sort of runnber or foam underneath the slab.

Hi Colin, I would like to add a power button to the front of my Mk3s, I know you have done this with the Mini, but do you have any videos on how to do this on the Mk3s ? or is it roughly the same ? - I would like to mount the switch to the front of the Prusa control panel. Hope you can help ! Many Thanks, Mel.

I would not know how to do this. The main power switch is on the metal sealed PSU, and you probably dont want to mess with that. It might be possible to rig something up to the Einsey board, but i've not seen anyone actually do that. Perhaps something to explore at a later date.

Where did you get the concrete slab under the printer? The ones in my area are too big or have a design in them..

It's granite, 300x300mm from local DIY store in their garden/building section.

How did you get the knob on the screen off/on? Does it just pull out and push in? (Afraid I might break it if there is some trick to it.)

Can I ask what pads did you use under your granite paver?

They were little green anti vibration pads from 3Djake

Honestly, I'm at a loss on how to even safely take the switch out without ruining the case or my hands. Tried pliers, gloves, I'm cursing out loud at this. :(

Should just be couple squeeze clips ok with fingers

@@colinhill Maybe the printed case was tight because it was a fight and the thin overhang at the top was damaged. I have no idea how I could have squeezed those tabs enough for it to come out. Doesn't matter, it's out and my mod is coming along.

How were you able to get the power switch out? I've tried tons of methods, including the one shown on Prusa's "How to setup Wifi" guide.

@@MM-kt5bv Yeah, it came out when the thin part at the top split. I have no idea how to take it without damaging the case, the tabs on the switch are way too tight and rigid.
