Heads are not ported on two strokes, but some OEM heads can be cut. We cut and machine oem heads for many of our race combnos and also have our own special head inserts and shells we sell for others. VHM is just one of many brands who sell race parts

Hey bro got a stock head and vhm head for a 02 rm85 I have people are telling me to stay away from the vhm but why? I did blow the head gasket but I have to many anomalies and other things to question to blame just the vhm head but doing a top end and wondered if you’d run the oem which we put 4 hours on no issues but first ride with the vhm she died but was a massive change in temp from 15s to -3 so I reckon that’s where we went wrong lol but also swapping coolants
@@HPRaceDevelopment I have the bike all back together new wossnor top end and apico gasket set I’ve got a pinch in the top rad hose so gonna address that so it’s not leaking and see where we go put the top end back together with the vhm lol couldn’t help my self it looks too good
@@HPRaceDevelopment issues are with the vhm insert check my latest video the insert is 50% cracked half way around lol quite a bad crack could have been me over tightening it or the fact she was low on coolant and we took it out at -3 so but yea turns out the insert was ruined all along not the piston or gaskets lol top end for nothing but it’s peace of mind and it’s about the right kinda time now anyway

Hard to say. I would think your issues aren't related to the vhm
