Just took out my 1996 from 10 year storage. Installed the Apexi N1 with Active Silencer. Sounds mean!!! I remember like it was yesterday when I was going to Prelude Meet.
@@TheBb6prelude yeah if you say so, we never got that motor in the USA....h22a is what we had which was exceptional at the time in the mid 90s. We are in the electric age now no more roaring vtec sounds. Tesla, lucid, Ford mustang ev all faster without making a sound...

@@playboigato4606 full poly bushings, sway bar in the rear, strut bar up front, coilovers, all new ball joints, wheel bearings, adjustable ball joints up front, toe arms and adjustable control arms in the rear. Big list but it's taken me a while to get it all in. Still need to get it alligned
I have a 1999 honda prelude and I have to change the engin because original one in the car is damaged, but I have been looking for JDM ingen and I have found the H22A from 93-96 and also the H22A from 97-01, they look the same at first look , I would like know what is the difference between these two ingen ? If someone can help me to know if i can put 93-96 H22A to a 1999 Prelude... Thank you, I await your answers...
look into if whatever 93-96 lude engine you get it has obd2 becasue their obd1 the 5th gen preludes are obd2. I looked this up on prelude forums but I’m sure it’ll match up. Aslong as whoever does the swap knows everything and knows how to do swaps you should be fine because I’m sure you might need modifications because you could do obd1 but you have to do a conversion.
Why no ‘87-91 models. Are they all rusted out? I owned 2 of the 1985 models back in the day never could quite afford the newer ones. Its 1.8L only had 100HP but was so fun to drive. The few I have seen around lately are always rusted under the side mirrors, rear side window s, and sunroof. My fave look 1991 model Si with spoiler in white or teal green.

Thank you 👍 Surprisingly I don’t have a exhaust it’s just stock exhaust but my set up is 4-2-1 headers, intake, and down pipe to test pipe connected to the stock exhaust for now🙏 going to get exhaust soon maybe yonaka or invidia n1
that’s good news that you got a prelude but sad news that you have to replace the engine🙏 it’s okay that’s apart of the prelude process but soon you’ll be having it running and enjoy it sooo much👍
@@bb6.v Yeah I agreed, I love the body style and everything electrical works but It sucks that I was building a 97 accord and tried to just buy another car to avoid replacing an engine because I couldn’t find anyone but now I’m at stage 1 with the prelude also. Hopefully it just needs a valve adjustment or something but I’ll just have to wait and see

@@bb6.v Thanks man, You definitely made the situation better I was bawling my eyes out but If anything I’ll pick up a summer job or cut yards to get it back on the road. Makes no sense to be sad over something that may teach me a lesson or give me more knowledge(I made the first mistake of purchasing it worth 129k miles). They’re getting pretty rare and I don’t wanna sell it then get another car and the same thing happen so I’ll just fix it or replace the engine and enjoy it from there. Thanks again man. much love!!

H22A one of the best sounding motors from Honda. Vtec engagement at 5300 RPM sounds so good especially going through a tunnel
F20b is even better. Vtec is more aggressive.

Just bought a prelude the other day for my first car ended up having a tapping sound in the engine 😔 now I have to work and save to replace the engine
