As a musician I enjoy expressing my personal opinion. I am not God, so my opinion is subject to criticism, I welcome that.
In my mind the standard was reasonably OK, though I thought most of the songs sounded familiar ( much like songs I have heard before). I like songs with strange chord sequences, and different sounding band choruses, not the usual band chorus that ends in Sol doe tee la tee tee doe.then the singer start to sing. For example take king short shirt of Antigua song back in the seventies, Rise, rise, rise rise, people open up your eyes., or King Elli Matt of St. Kitts, THE poor can take no more, Star shields THE GOOD SHEPHERD. Listen to the musical accompaniment, the ban chorus before the singer start to sing.
I don't know who won, but in my view, if you hold up the palm of you hand and look at the tip of your fingers, that to me is how the show went they were close to each other, with king PAT represented by the tallest finger.
