2 Ways to Improve Your Stack - Tension Methods!

- Look forward to our upcoming webinar where we’ll go even deeper on how you can support your dog during the stack for a great judge’s exam!
We’ve talked a lot about tension on the stack, particularly using the hair on the tail to encourage our dogs’ to lean into their fronts. In this video, Allison demonstrates how she starts that process on a grooming table, then moving to the ground. We also demonstrate a second method - using the prosternum - which comes in handy for dogs without tails or with tails you can’t use the tail tension method.

What a super cool tip. I have a dog that doesn't like to be manhandled too much when I'm showing her. I will try this tip when we practice stacking. Thank you!
That is a REALLY nice trick! Just tried it with my standard poodle who tenses his back in judge exams, and his topline was IMMEDIATELY so much better!! Thank you!!
Glad to hear it!!
