    EB super slinkys 9/42 have been my dads, granddads, uncles and my absolute go to for decades. experimented with many different but i just cant shake the feel and comfort of them

    I've tried them all. I mostly play telecaster guitars with g and b benders in them' also have 2 teles with benders in them along with Hipshot drop D on the low E string and banjo drop tuners on the high E and A strings' those strings are always being lowered and raised in pitch and were breaking at the saddles and tuners within 2 weeks or less especially the b and g strings' sometimes a couple of days or less on those strings'the Ernie ball strings have lasted and kept their tone the longest without breaking or having to change them, and that's using 9's compared to the others using 10's.
    I also keep the string trees/nut and saddles well lubricated because of those strings constantly being raised and lowered in pitch so I figure I've given them all a fair chance to make the comparison.

      Great tip! I've found a little bit of pencil graphite works great on the nut/string tree! 😊

    I put 7s on mine. I also has string tension issues lol

      Wow - I bet! I've never gone as low as 7s before!
