I just wanna say how much I appreciate your videos, and the way you able to fluently communicate your knowledge on native prairie plants! I think it’s really amazing how accessible your videos make it to learn about these beautiful grasses and plants, thanks again for sharing and uploading new videos:)
Thank you. I planted an indian grass a couple years ago along with some big bluestem to provide a screen along a fence. I wasn't expecting much as the big bluestem was touted so much more. But this year, the grass bunch is three feet at the widest point. I've loved watching the blade colors change from soft blue/green to deeper green, and golden yellow in fall. It's become my second favorite native grass. My favorite (for now) is buffalo grass - the male coral & female purple flowers make me smile.
I had the hardest time trying to find Sarasota county Iowa. 😂. I finally figured out you said Saracorta. I went to the counties in alphabetical order and nothing close. Finally figured out it is Cerro Gordo. Phew. What an adventure. Enjoyed the video. I guess you are not too far from Austin, MN. Next adventure is to figure out what Cerro Gordo means. Looks like a Spanish description.

Thank you so much. I put a lot of research in before filming.
Great videos. I also watch big bluestem. I’d love for you to do one on little bluestem. Keep up the great work.
