    The old man knows his shit! The young guys, if they paid attention might have learned a thing or two. Truly well done.

      birdman3931ny I was thinking the same thing. The old man was very knowledgeable. Definitely hope the younger guys learned a lot from him.

    Nice job. But for me it's overkill on the construction methods. Better built than the house he lives in lol

    i came here to see how i can build my own brick pizza oven.. after seeing this video A: you guys are amazing and did a great job B: this is a lot harder than i would have thought .. perhaps i will eventually buy one already made !

      @ShannonSmith4u2 5 років тому

      No, it's not that hard to do, you can make one, easily. I have zero brick and masonry experience and yet I'm almost done with my 2nd one, the first we had to leave when we sold our house.

    I like how you build the Pizza Brick Oven what to use so many different kinds of bricks how come you just didn't used to lay bricks play with wool it would have been much easier 4 Harper because the white brick that's what we can expect you did a great job don't get me wrong I could never do it I guess I could I don't mind to it but you did a fantastic job thank you so much I think I have a few more different ones to see which one I really want to build outside the building

    The vermicrete would be better straight under the fire bricks there is a lot of thermal mass on that base and on the top. That would take forever to get to temp and hold it

    I REALLY like this design, however, although the video gives a fairly complete concept, it's I little difficult to actually build from just the video. Is it possible he has either a sketch or a more complete video?

    Love it, planning on trying my hand at building one. A question..... what is the little form in the front of the slab/bricks for? is that for an updraft from the bottom for the chimney?

    Pretty lucrative piece of work! Very methodical and well designed, my question is, does it distribute and retain heat uniformly? If so, this would be nice to have indoors like in a kitchen Tratoria!!

    What a master piece! Every great chef understand their ingredients, just like a carpenter understand details and craftsmanship. Most importantly, it is the passion and love from within them...it is the result!!

  • @wolfhachmuth7731

    This is wrong. The concrete slab has to sit on the blockwork, at least 100 mm bearing. Otherwise it's just freestanding. It will crack.

  • @kennkid9912
    @kennkid9912 8 років тому

    You have to eat alot of pizza or bread to make this worth while.Its a lot of work and weight on that thin slab foundation.

    • @johnthebob1
      @johnthebob1 8 років тому +2

      Not really on both accounts. It makes anything better than in a standard gas or electric oven. Succulent roasts and beautiful pizzas I made one a year ago and it gets used more than twice a week. as far as the slab is concerned 100mm I think you will find is plenty for this at that concentration. The only issue I see here is the amount of thermal mass.

    • @kennkid9912
      @kennkid9912 8 років тому +2

      Not worth the outlay in my opinion.but that is your call.
      Evidently some people have nothing but time and $$$ to spend on frivolous things.
      Again its your call.
