Voiceplay toured extensively before Covid shut the world down. They had used UA-cam videos primarily to promote their live shows. When they couldn't go live anymore, they upped their production which was already fantastic. It is also the time that Geoff started doing solo work. Voiceplay produces a new cover every month. If you check the description you will find which one of them did the arrangement. That person is usually responsible for the entire production. They are one man short since 2020 and have a variety of talented friends that they feature. J None, the rapper in this one, was a member until he joined the US Navy to sing with them in 2021. Cesar, second from the left, replaced him. J comes back as often as he can to collaborate with them. They do not plan to return to touring. Three of them are married with children and find being at home more fulfilling. I've been a fan for four years and a patron for three. They are wonderfully talented and genuinely nice people!
I'm going to dig a bit deeper into this group and provide some info here and there for any viewers that it may possibly be their first time watching. Or refer to the amazing subs I have that have the knowledge 😃 I appreciate you watching and this was an awesome intro to VoicePlay. I really enjoyed how they put this video together for this first time experience!
Layne is the beatboxer. He started out as the group's baritone back in 1997, he and Geoff are the only two original members left. When their first beatboxer left to become an actor, Layne stepped up to become their next beatboxer. Geoff had taught him how to do basic beatboxing, and Layne spent the next 20+ years working on his beatboxing craft. He still sings as well, and every now and then we get lucky and get to hear his beautiful sweet voice for some small solo parts. But he does sing harmony quite a lot as well. Eli (rhymes with jelly) is their rock tenor, the bald guy with the beard. He spent many years singing lead in rock bands, but also as a voice actor. He was the one who designed all the background images on the LED walls in this video. Eli has taught himself to be their lighting programmer and designer, and he also taught himself how to create backgrounds in Unreal Engine for all their greenscreen and LED needs. Cesar (the latino guy next to Layne) is their baritenor. He is the newest member and is known for his silky voice, his expressive acting and his sass. He has performed in the parks and on the stages of Orlando for many years now, with various bands and groups, and still does to this day. Geoff, Layne, Eli and Cesar are the current members of VoicePlay, and VoicePlay is their full time job. Since they need 5 people to perform a song, they invite friends, former members and other artists to sing with them in their videos, which gives them the opportunity to pick the perfect voice for the song they want to sing 🙂
Coming in the with the wealth of knowledge!! I love it. They have such a great community, and I am so grateful for all the information you all provide me on the deeper details of these groups! 😃 I'm looking forward to more VoicePlay because this video was phenomenal!
@@eh...whatever9261Huldra Draco is like a whole encyclopedia for Voiceplay, her channel is amazing and full of nicely put together videos about the guys ❤
Thank you so much for checking my channel out! They are so talented and I really appreciate all the background the community is giving me about these guys. Knowing more about it really makes me appreciate their talent even more!
I just discovered VoicePlay last month through Geoff's solo channel. I don't know why, but his Far Over the Misty Mountains Cold cover kept popping up in my recommendations until I finally got curious enough to check it out. I was hooked on him immediately and from there discovered that he is in a group called VoicePlay. To be honest, I had never been into a capella before (all I really knew was Pentatonix and for whatever reason they don't do anything for me) so I was a little skeptical, but I watched Oogie Boogie's Song because that's one that I had seen mentioned, and ever since I've been trapped down the VoicePlay/Geoff Castellucci rabbit hole. Anyway, all that to say that now that you've also fallen down the hole, good luck getting out. At least it's filled with beautiful music and fun videos down here... Oh, and besides just their overall talents and creativity, what I love about them so much and part of what makes them so special in my opinion, is that you can just tell that they are genuine, kind people. They are so nice to their fans. And also that they know how to have fun and goof around and not take themselves too seriously. They always put a smile on my face. We need more people like them in the world.
I've been wanting to dive even deeper into their other music but I am saving the first times for everyone here as well. These are so fun and I always enjoy the engagement and anything that I may miss in the videos. It really opens it up to anyone watching the videos and participating. I love the community insight on all these songs 😊
This is a glorious mini-movie. Miracle of Sound did the original (minus the rap) and were impressed to raise 10 ale horns in honor of VoicePlay's work. I love that they do not work for managing companies. They do nearly all of the work themselves. Whoever is in charge of the project does nearly everything, the exceptions being Eli handles green screens, CGI, lighting, Layne sometimes comes into Geoff's solos and works the Steadi-Cam (like in Way Down). The pre-audio mix is who has the project but the final mix is almost always Ed Boyer who does all the top named acapella groups. Kathy Castellucci does a lot on props and costuming and is the project manager for both Geoff's and VoicePlay's videos. All of the above means that they get to keep the creativity amongst themselves. Check out their day with kids in A Capella Camp doing Journey's song Don't Stop Believin'. Some of their props or costuming are auctioned off so that disadvantaged kids get some stuff for Christmas. During covid, they did a video over Zoom called Just Sing, with people who have been members or guest vocalists, or kids in the family getting a fine voice. If you react to it, make sure you have captions on so you will know who everyone is and their claim to fame. VP raised funds that went to musicians that needed monetary help during covid. I LOVE these guys. They are among the best people on the planet.
Wow! It sounds like these are genuine people that really just love making music and letting their creativity flow. I love how they raised funds to help other artists during the pandemic. This gives me more faith in humanity!
They are absolutely the best people. Kind and love to tease each other. Both of the songs suggested are great but be sure to keep the subtitles on. VP are known to play with them sometimes and you need them in Just Sing to figure out who everyone singing is.
Welcome to the rabbit hole! Kathy was a singer and performer in her own right until her hearing loss became too significant. Now she keeps the guys on track, does a thousand other tasks key to getting the videos produced and released, and can occasionally be seen on screen. Sometimes it's a cameo, like Till Then or Monster Mash on Geoff's channel, or a starring role as in Golden Hour with VP. Her latest cameo was as Gruesome Greta in Thriller. Geoff uses instruments and plug ins on his solo videos. If VoicePlay uses anything but their voices and body percussion, they're obvious about it, like the shackle Cesar rattles in Hoist the Colors, or the baby rattle Geoff shakes in the mini Baby On Board. I second what others have said: for the full experience, you need headphones and captions on, and keep watching until the Patreon list scrolls. Sometimes there's a mini scene at the end. They often put humorous text in the captions, especially Geoff. All the members have worked at various theme parks in Orlando over the years, and that theatricality often shows up, as it did in their recent releases, Be Prepared and Thriller.
I definitely will heed yalls advice on the coming videos. I will be sure to have the headphones on next time! Thank you so much for the information and support. I take everything you all tell me to heart. I know you won't steer me wrong on this VoicePlay and Geoff Castelluci quest 😊
Oh they definitely still make music 😂 Depending on your mood the last three you have a choice of a Disney classic (be prepared) an MJ classic (Thriller) or the angelic vocals of this months (Stand by me). Otherwise pick your favourite genre and dive in they have a catalogue of about 200-220 music videos on here. Loving your reactions it’s always so fun seeing people’s 🤯 when they first fall down the Voiceplay/geoff rabbit hole.
I love that you’re already giving me suggestions! Definitely gonna have to explore their catalog! 😃 Thank you so much! I wrote them down and have added them to my handy dandy notebook 😊
You picked a heckuva piece for you to react to first. This one is a bit of a showstopper. I thoroughly enjoyed your reaction. Two in one day!! I like that J is staring out across the water at the beginning. He was recruited by the US Navy and he’s come back (at least for this). The rap was added and some hints to his being in the military (ops, etc). Eli did the amazing backgrounds using Unreal Engine which is used in filmmaking to provide digital backgrounds. The only real pieces in that set are the tables and benches. Even the door that J walks through was pure CGI. (Layne was responsible for the creaking door sound.) It was filmed at a studio with immense (Full wall!) LED screens. The music in the outro is the karaoke track. The percussion and background vocals and it could be a piece on its own because it’s also gorgeous. Previously they did a cover of My Mother Told Me (also associated with the video game Assassin’s Creed). J was still a permanent member of the group at that time. The makeup and a lot of the costuming here is from MMTM. Among their tattoos are runes spelling out VoicePlay. Cesar was not yet a member of the group back then. Jose Rosario Jr (a high school classmate of his)was the guest artist. Cesar is wearing the same robe that Jose wore in My Mother Told Me. They both appeared in Hoist the Colours from Pirates of the Caribbean 3 which up until very recently was my favorite. It’s still a very close second. It has the drama and pageantry that this does. Just pirates this time!
I'm so glad you enjoyed it! I'm still reeling from how amazing that song was! It's so crazy that they do this themselves. The production quality is better than most anything I see nowadays. The attention to detail in the costumes and everything just adds so much more to the experience I love it!
Love your reaction, I just subscribed. I love voiceplay all of the guys are absolutely awesome and truly kind people. I have been a voiceplay patron for going on 3 years. Since everyone has filled you in on the members I will just add to the suggestions for songs to react to creep, in the air tonight, dream on, total eclipse of the heart, Thriller, stand by me as well as any of the other songs suggested by others. To be honest you really can’t go wrong with any of their songs. Looking forward to seeing more of your reactions.
I just wrote all your suggestions down in my notebook!!! Thank you so much for subscribing and I hope I can keep you here and keep giving you all the content you wanna see. I want to see it too don't get me wrong, it's just great to be able to share the experience with everyone that is passionate about these groups. I think it adds to it 😊 I am looking forward to more VP!!!!
Yes Kathy has the hard job of keeping the guys in line. If you'd like to meet her she has a Staring role in Golden Hour. Voiceplay like Geoff is totally independent which gives them a freedom to take some risks, all of which has turned out to be fantastic and quite often jaw dropping. Don't be afraid to check out their mini's The list is long and if you have questions just ask, we'll be more then happy to answer. And don't worry about pausing or you might forget what you want to say. Looking forward to your next reaction 😊
Thank you so much!! I have written down all your suggestions on this video and I See Fire as well 😊 Their community has been so encouraging and informative and I'm totally thankful!! I look forward to more VoicePlay!
Thank you so much!! I have written down all your suggestions on this video and I See Fire as well 😊 Their community has been so encouraging and informative and I'm totally thankful!! I look forward to more VoicePlay!
Thanks for checking out VoicePlay and thanks for the shoutout! I’m the kind of human who can’t get enough of VoicePlay and Geoff, so I’m living deep down in the rabbit hole of Geoff and VoicePlay. A different side of VoicePlay’s sound and approach is in their cover of Creep. They can be theatrical, they can be funny, they can be sincere - I love all of it. 🥰
Absolutely! I don't like not giving credit where it's due especially when yall suggest such wonderful music! I'm so looking forward to reacting to more of them!!
Definitely check out more VoicePlay and Geoff, also you should look at Home Free (and Tim Foust their bass singer) and Avi Kaplan (from Pentatonix) they are the three top baritone/ bass singers, with Bass Gang coming upon forth. The three groups are a cappella and that just blows most people’s mind. So I hope to see you check out more.
Ok so I have seen people react to a Misty Mountains cover and I believe Tim Foust's name was on it. I haven't watched the videos or anything but I have seen them pop up on my search history. I will have to add that to the list! Thank you so much for checking out my small channel! I hope to bring you more and better content in the future!
Loved your reaction- thanks! Enjoyed the two videos today as well- what a treat! Voice Play is a group from Orlando Florida and all the members and their frequently featured guests have worked as performers at Universal and/or Disney theme parks. Seeing different featured guests at first may be confusing but all have been friends that have worked together since high school or college and we think of them as Voice Play's extended family. J. None, the gentleman that did the rapping, was a former full time member that left the group to join the Navy. J. None still comes back frequently as their featured guest when he is on military leave and others fill in when he is not available. Beat boxer, Layne Stein, and Geoff have been best friends singing together since they were 12 years old in Jr high school. Voice Play stopped touring when the pandemic started and have not gone back to touring (they prefer to stay close to home and their families and create these theatrical videos on their own (Geoff's wife, Kathy, is also the production manager for Voice Play) with the support of their patrons and super fans (like myself). They do perform at some private functions and local events and their featured guests have side gigs in central Florida and at the theme parks so local fans (like myself) have more of an opportunity to see them sing live. They did sing with legendary band, 'Chicago', for two shows a year ago.
@@janetdw Yes, I see Cesar most often and also saw Cesar and EJ with the group 'Element' which is the group that EJ and Omar's sister, Amanda, is in. I have seen Omar in the play, "From Here" when it was at 'The Ren' theater as well as seeing him with Epic Party Band. Cesar hosted an open jam type thing at 'The Ren' on Monday nights for a little while when it first opened but stays so busy with different projects now.
Yes I'd love to fly into Orlando and check them out live! Is there a way to see what side gigs they might be performing in the coming months or is it kind of sporadic?
@@eh...whatever9261 It is now rare and sporadic for Voice Play as a group but the holidays are coming and charity fundraisers are everywhere so anything is possible. Geoff (deep bass singer), Eli (bald rock tenor) and Layne (beatboxer) all have children and stay home with their family (I have not seen any of them out and about in a long time). Cesar (youngest, Spanish gentleman) is single and everywhere involved in many side projects locally (I don't know how he finds time to do all he does!). Some of Voice Play's most featured guests will get together frequently for various venues (E.J. Cardona is high tenor for 'Voctave', acapella group with past and present members of Disney's prestigious 'Voices Of Liberty' choir are usually very active at Christmas time and E. J. Cardona is very active singing with Cesar in different side projects most often locally. Ashley Diane is also active locally as well. Omar and J. None have in the past participated or done solo side projects locally but both of them remain very busy (J. None is active duty military but will make some appearances locally while he is on holiday leave and Omar Cardona has been in NY performing theater shows). I follow them on Instagram as that is where they give info on local events. I also check Ren Theater and local places for upcoming gigs and shows or receive emails with schedule of events. Huldra Draco (top patron and super fan) has her own channel and posts information about live appearances locally. The acapella group, Home Free, will be appearing at the King Center in Melbourne Florida this holiday season and I am looking forward to that concert (Always a chance of seeing members of the Voice Play family come out to support their friends from Home Free during the holiday season and Home Free will put on a fun live show).
The two cards shown on the VoicePlay outro are both amazing songs! My Mother Told Me was the first appearance for the Viking crew you saw here in Valhalla Calling, with one change: the feature artist was Jose Rosario Jr., who has been in several VP videos. At the time that video was made, Cesar de la Rosa had not yet joined the group. If you watch MMTM, you'll notice that the cloak that Jose has on is the same one that Cesar wears in VC. The other card is for Stand By Me, the classic Ben E. King song, with a featured artist of Mykal (Michael) Kilgore, who was an original member of the group that eventually became VoicePlay when it formed right out of high school back in the mid 90s. He left and has become very well known as a Broadway performer and songwriter, but came back to guest in their video for Be Prepared from The Lion King, but since his work in that one was fairly small (for a featured guest) he stayed around for Stand By Me - and everyone is glad he did! In that song, you'll get a chance to hear Layne Stein (who normally beatboxes) sing for most of the song before he starts beatboxing - it's always nice to get a chance to hear Layne sing! Because VoicePlay has been around for so long, there have been a number of personnel changes over the years, so getting a handle on who is in the group for a particular video may take some time, but it's definitely a rabbit-hole worth putting in the effort for!
These subtleties are amazing. I love when they throw these little tidbits in there that have a deeper meaning that most don't catch. That's such a cool concept and I'm here for it! Thank you so much for the info and I am going to write down what you told me just now so I can go and hopefully catch these connections myself 😃
@vdoyne the poll was lenaing toward two today so I went ahead and recorded them and set the premieres a little bit apart so hopefully the transition to the next isn't too bad 🙂
@@eh...whatever9261 No worries. The VoicePlay/Geoff community is very welcoming, kind, and enthusiastic. We're just glad to see another join us in our love for VP/GC's work. They deserve so much more recognition than they get even though they're considered by most to be one of the big three acappella groups (PTX, HomeFree, and VoicePlay). Since they have always been 100% indie, sadly not as many people know of them.
Welcome to VoicePlay! Seems like others have the info covered, so I'll just say that I enjoyed this and I'll be here for your future VP and Geoff reactions!
Voiceplay and Geoff usually put out a new cover every month. The four current members are Layne Stine ( master beatboxer), Cesar De La Rosa ( the newest and youngest member with an angel voice), Eli Jacobson ( first name pronounced like jelly, voice like a rock star), and you now Geoff. J. None (rapper and Mr smooth voice) comes back periodically as a guest singer. They bring in guest singers for their songs, which adds variety and uniqueness to their music. Should you continue down this rabbit hole, I highly recommend their cover of Nothing Else Matters ( by Mettalica) or Hoist The Colors ( Pirates of the Caribbean) . Also recommend headphones, as others have suggested. Otherwise, you are really missing out. 😊
Just wrote these down. If there are any duplicates I always give everyone credit for suggestions regardless 😃 Thank you so much for checking this out. This group is absolutely amazing!
This was one of my first vids from Voiceplay and i love it. They have also a various number of songs, that are more "quiet". Those are more sad songs as "true colors" or "i can't make you love me". They are even without beatboxing, which means you can see and hear Layne singing. The others have written down everything to know about them already, so i won't do it again. But be sure that the Voiceplayer community will guide you on your journey into the very depths of the rabbithole.
Very much appreciated! You all are the best! Thanks so much for checking out this channel I am so grateful for your support. I will do my best not to disappoint 😊
So glad to see you've entered the VoicePlay rabbit hole along with the Geoff one! I can't get enough of these guys' music, and I'm here for any reaction to them or Geoff. I'm glad you're enjoying the journey so far.
VP has the widest genre range of all the acapella groups... so there is literally something for everyone and absolutely nothing is sub-par! They also have a huge body of work - and their minis are well worth checking out as well! Reactors usually do 3 - 5 at a time. Thank you for the reaction! They are wonderful and highly, but very grounded people. ⚘️🕊
Thank you so much for the suggestion and for your feedback! I will always give the artists the credit as well as the people suggesting their works to me. I am just loving becoming a fan of these talented people! I look forward to more from them! I also wrote down your suggestion about their mini's 😃
This one is seen as the sequel to their video My Mother Told Me. There are a few changes; J. None was a member and Jose Rosario Jr was the guest then, Cesar DeLaRosa is a member and J. None is the guest here. They have the same costumes and warrior's tattoos, but Geoff's outfit is worn slightly differently. Both video are terrific as always. Edit: I almost forgot the fact that Cesar is wearing the same hooded cloak Jose wore in the first video. And "VP" or VoicePlay is seen on their skin in Norse (or whatever language that is, it's slipped my mind).
I just responded to your other comment. I will try to keep everyone updated on the community posts if I am gone from making videos for a little while. I have been tending to my wife post-operation. I am filming reactions today and should have videos ready for the next week or so. I hope you will come back for some more content!!! Thank you so much for your encouragement and information!
I love your reactions I seen so far and welcome once more! If I may give you a tip though: Voiceplay, especially Geoff's bass, sound better with good headphones on. Now you miss stuff like how Geoff held that first note that surprised you so much for 15 seconds while J. None did his singing bit :)And again during J's rap. As for another video to check out, if you haven't yet, would be My Mother Told Me. Geoff will blow your mind specifically, but they are all top notch!
I have my headphones right next to me for the next VP and Geoff Castelluci reaction. I'll test a few others videos just to make sure I get the sound right 😃 I really appreciate your support!
J. left them a few years ago to join the Navy. He's back on military leave to guest with them here. The A/C was out at the studio they were using the day they filmed this so those furs made them miserable. VoicePlay releases a full video and usually a couple of shorts each month. They've already filmed next month's UA-cam video so it's probably being edited this week. It seems likely that J. was back for that one too. It will usually show up on their Patreon a week or two before it premieres on UA-cam. If you can catch a VoicePlay monthly UA-cam premiere, you'll notice that some of the VoicePlay guys, or perhaps all of them, will be in the live chat for the length of the video. Geoff will usually be logged in as "VoicePlay" and the others under their own accounts. Thanks for this reaction!
@@eh...whatever9261 You will be able to tell when one of the guys joins the live chat, usually a bit before the premiere start time, because many will start greeting each one by name as they join in. Sometimes their featured guests also comment under the video. I know that I've seen Elizabeth and Deejay do that and VP will pin the comment.
I totally understand what you said about the costumes 👍🏻 Their voices are amazing and they're real entertainers and I simply love it ❤ You can't go wrong with any of their songs, if you are in "viking mode" now, I would suggest "My mother told me" 😅😉
I'm writing that suggestion down right now! Thank you so much for your feedback it means the world! I'm so glad you checked this out 😊 I'll have more in the future!
This is my first time hearing them and I can tell that they're gonna easily become a top tier artist for me on my personal playlist 😃 Thank you so much for stopping by my small channel!
If you want to get a taste of their live show (not touring now as others have noted) you could take a look at their ACA Top 10 Videos almost all of those are live one shots... the exception is The Movie Themes You won't be disappointed. Also there are lots of fan recorded videos on YT of their live shows of varying quality. One favorite is "Elvira " Gordon Performance Center, Owings Mills, MD Jan 23, 2020" I am really glad you're enjoying your dive into Voiceplay we'll enjoy it with you.
Just added your username and your suggestion to my handy dandy notebook 😃 I will have it in the queue in the coming day and weeks thanks so much for encouraging and supporting the channel! I'm having a blasty blast checking out everyone's suggestions!
Since you mentioned the costumes, you might get some fun out of comparing these costumes to the dwarves’ costumes in Geoff’s LOTR triology of songs. Layne (beatboxer) is wearing the coat that Geoff wore as Thorin (dark haired dwarf). Some other pieces are also mix/matched in different combinations. That ‘Thorin’ coat also shows up on Eli (as a ‘grundel’ troll) for “In The Hall of The Mountain King” and “Classical Chaos”.
I'm actually going to check that out here in a bit just to make some comparisons myself. Especially from all the information that everyone has been giving me in the comments section. Thank you so much for your support and engagement!!!
Great reaction. I'm subscribing to watch the fun! This was my favorite VoicePlay song until they came out with their cover of "Thriller" last month. It's a very close second though. Welcome to the VoicePlay rabbit hole! It's going to be a bass-y ride! If you're interested in more info on VoicePlay, I put together a bunch of "rules" (suggestions) to improve VoicePlay and Geoff (and even Home Free) viewing. I'll give you one to start off with. Use headphones. Not earpods, unless they have great balance. Some of Geoff's notes are so low you almost can't hear them without headphones. And if I may suggest, next a good one to be would be "Nothing Else Matters." (Yes, the Metallica song.)It also features J. None, the "rapper" in this one. He was a full-time member until the US Naval Choir asked him to sing with them. Now he frequently comes back and works with the group, but in other songs they have other amazing guest artists. 💙
Oh man, you're right! I definitely need to get headphones! 😁 that's been the commonality in some of these videos recently. Thank you so much for your support!! I'm looking forward to more and will hopefully not disappoint 🙂
@@eh...whatever9261 You're welcome. Would you like me to post the "rules" (advice) and some basic info on the group, or hold off a bit, or not at all? I won't be offended if you say nom they're really suggestions. Also, for videos about the group, Huldra Draco is like our VoicePlaya fan club president, she has lots of interesting vids about them! Looking forward to future vids!
Thank you a ton for the suggestion! I have written down in my notebook and I do believe it was suggested already but I have your name written down to give everyone credit that suggested it regardless of duplication. Thank you so much for checking this video out! 😃
J. None (the one who did the rap) sings for the top choir in the US Navy- the Sea Chanters. The other four are the permanent members, and are still actively getting together to create music every month. They do not typically perform live since lockdown, primarily because they do not have a permanent fifth member.
It would have definitely been amazing to see these guys live! I will keep my eyes and ears open in case that ever happens in the future. This was a great first video!
They are fantastic and yes layne on the far left is a accomplished beat boxer. Also geoff's wife helps alot as well as Eli the Disney villain looking rock tenor to the left of Geoff is a master at digital set design using unreal engine
They bring so much to the table!!! It's amazing what they can do when it all comes together. I know I'm here for all of the VoicePlay!!! 😃 thanks so much for watching!!
You know I've always heard the name Pentatonix and I have never listened to any of their stuff haha! Thanks so much for stopping in! I hope you decide to come back again! 😃
I really appreciate the suggestion and the time you took to check out my reaction! I love this group and I have your suggestion written down. If it is duplicated anywhere else on my list I always tag everyone that made that suggestion. I don't want you all to go unnoticed for the great music taste 😊
Now that you're in the a capella rabbit warren, let me suggest HomeFree The Bass Gang (and each individual member Bobby Bass, Peter Barber, Marwan Ayman, & Tomi P)
Now you've heard this one, check out the original artist who wrote this song, Miracle of Sound, right here on youtube. I suggest the trio version of this song. Oh, Geoff and Voiceplay have some amazing halloween themed music, as well.
I just wrote this down and I am adding it to the list of stuff to come!!! Thanks so much for the suggestion and the support. I really appreciate the engagement from everyone😀
That title sounds familiar, but I am writting you suggestion down on my handy dandy notebook as I'm typing this so I can give y'all the credit for pointing me in that direction 😊Thanks so much for the support and I hope you come back for future videos!
There's something not right with the replay sound of the video. Listen to it yourself. It's very thin and tinny. As for other rabbit holes to explore, for vocalists: Dan Vasc, Tommy Johansson, Erik Gronwall, Beth Hart, Chris Klafford. For bands, check out Dirty Loops - maybe start with their collaboration with Cory Wong in Thriller and in See the Light. And multi Grammy award collective Snarky Puppy. Start with Shofukan as an easy entry then Lingus. Good luck
Thanks for the heads up about the sound, I'll see if I can adjust it on my next video! I'll be using headphones next time 😃 I appreciate the insight and suggestions!

I try to follow every Geoff and VP reaction video. They are the "theater kids" of Acapella. I love both. Thank you for your reaction.
We just don't want you to miss the goodness....and once you put on those headphones, go back and re-listen so you'll have another amazing experience.
Don't be afraid to check out their mini's
The list is long and if you have questions just ask, we'll be more then happy to answer.
You are so lucky to be local to them. Do you get to see Cesar when he’s performing with EJ Cardona and his wife Lindsay?
Clicked to be notified. THIS was my introduction to VoicePlay, where the comments led me to Geoff's solo channel too.
@vdoyne the poll was lenaing toward two today so I went ahead and recorded them and set the premieres a little bit apart so hopefully the transition to the next isn't too bad 🙂
@vdoyne i bumped my mic on accident also but I want it to be a first time reaction. I'm not lazy but it would feel like cheating if I re-did it haha.
@@eh...whatever9261 This was your first for VoicePlay? Mine was Hoist the Colours and I was blown away.
It was the same for me 😂
Welcome to VoicePlay! Seems like others have the info covered, so I'll just say that I enjoyed this and I'll be here for your future VP and Geoff reactions!
I really appreciate you sticking around my small channel that means the world to me! I hope I can keep bringing you all the fire haha.
I know! I have been checking out other reaction videos to these guys and it's so amazing everytime I hear them or see someone react. This is great!!!
Skyrim and Halo are outstanding too and I'm definitely not a gamer.
I don't think there's a VP song I haven't enjoyed.
😊 Thanks for your reaction. Debbie from Southern California. Cheers
Cheers Debbie! I hope yall are safe out there. Is your area getting hit by those fires?
Omggggg I got goosebumps and had tears in my eyes, how is this so so beautiful and delivered so perfectly??? Ty for posting this ❤
Of course!! It was such an amazing song! I can't wait to see more VP in the coming months. I really appreciate the support and encouragement 😊
J. left them a few years ago to join the Navy.
Wow that's a lot of behind-the-scenes info! Thanks for sharing! I will definitely be keeping up with their monthly premieres 😃
@@vdoyneI've seen Anthony Gargiula comment too. Looks like he's keen to sing again. I hope he does. I really like his voice.
I totally understand what you said about the costumes 👍🏻 Their voices are amazing and they're real entertainers and I simply love it ❤
You can't go wrong with any of their songs, if you are in "viking mode" now, I would suggest "My mother told me" 😅😉
I'm writing that suggestion down right now! Thank you so much for your feedback it means the world! I'm so glad you checked this out 😊 I'll have more in the future!
Voice Play is the best. Love these guys 💕
Voice play the dragonborn comes is amazing to . Great reaction ❤😊
Thank you a ton for the suggestion! I have written down in my notebook and I do believe it was suggested already but I have your name written down to give everyone credit that suggested it regardless of duplication. Thank you so much for checking this video out! 😃
@eh...whatever9261 thank you ☺️
@@eh...whatever9261 if you haven't seen it yet watch Metallica nothing else matters cover and them covering enemies from arcane
I think all a cappella groups have beatboxers, now. At least VoicePlay, Home Free, Pentatonix all do, plus a few others I've seen.
You know I've always heard the name Pentatonix and I have never listened to any of their stuff haha! Thanks so much for stopping in! I hope you decide to come back again! 😃
You Really Really Need to be Wearing HEADPHONES, YOU HONESTLY DON'T REALIZE HOW MUCH YOU ARE MISSING NOT WEARING HEADPHONES
I have a bluetooth headset that I'm gonna be using and see how that works out. You'll see them in the next reaction video I have out 😁
I didn't listen with headphones to start with either. What a great surprise when I got them 😊
If I remember correctly, the AC wasn't working when they did this in the costumes/furs. That's dedication 😂.
holy crap! haha well that's insane 😶 Even more kudos to them for continuing on! We really appreciate their dedication 😄
Was that a fifteen second subharmonic?
But was it?! 😲 it's too fantastical to imagine.
Hey there, if you like singers with low voices, go check the bass gang (I would say "Arabian night" is one of their best cover)^^
I really appreciate the suggestion and the time you took to check out my reaction! I love this group and I have your suggestion written down. If it is duplicated anywhere else on my list I always tag everyone that made that suggestion. I don't want you all to go unnoticed for the great music taste 😊
Now that you're in the a capella rabbit warren, let me suggest
HomeFree
The Bass Gang (and each individual member Bobby Bass, Peter Barber, Marwan Ayman, & Tomi P)
Writing these suggestions down 😃 thank you for your support and suggestion!
I think you would like OOgie Boogie by Voice Play
That title sounds familiar, but I am writting you suggestion down on my handy dandy notebook as I'm typing this so I can give y'all the credit for pointing me in that direction 😊Thanks so much for the support and I hope you come back for future videos!
Geoff hits a B 0
INSANE!!! Extremely talented guy!
