I checked the wiki, and all his movement stats are average or better, excluding his dash/run speed, which are below average but bot terrible. So yeah, pretty damn good for a heavyweight.
Maybe like you come out of hit stun just before you hit the bottom blast zone? Idk, you’d need Hero’s zoom from smash ultimate to make it back from that.
Galaxy is only when it'd definitely send you to the blast zone. In that moment it wouldn't have hit the blast zone. But Ranno was too far down so he couldn't make it back without bubble. But he wouldn't guarantee hit blast zone from hitstun/knockback. So no Galaxy screen.
Dan we need a replay takeover feature to see if anyone can survive there. Idk how strong that down special is in this game, it could be my rivals 1 trauma but I thought for sure that was a direct spike into zone. Guessing he'd have to DI perfectly into the bottom right corner just to avoid touching then yea there's no coming back
Them mentioning Loxodont Side b got me heated. If Lox is hit far enough off stage he has to side b. if he’s forced to wall jump off of kragg’s wall he’s just dead. The match up is alright outside of that that’s what’s fucked up about it.
Wall jump, down+b to both air stall and break the wall, then air dodge and up+b will hopefully save you. If you get hit trying this, you're either dead off the hit or it'll refresh wall jump at least. It's not a great chance of success, but it's Lox's best shot. Alpharad also mentions in Hungrybox vs Zeebee that down+b (even 0 stacks) is deadass Lox's fastest aerial option which is so fucking devastating for him. He's like an unholy trifecta of lacking fast moves, lacking pressure or range, and being a 3 course meal of combo food for everyone in the roster. If you're getting combo'd, which why wouldn't you, you can't approach nor escape combos, you then can't exit either through a fast option. Like how everyone else in the cast will do against him because of his aerial startup not allowing very much leeway. Playing Lox, it seems like it's tilt -> fakeout or tech chase, or die. I really need to know how to improve with him. It's a very fun game but constant "WELL WHAT SHOULD I HAVE DONE??" moments online pepper every match of the combo food I serve every Clairen or Ranno I face.
The top ranno players barely use bubble (outside of recovery), which makes me think bubble needs more. I think ranno should be able to trap people in bubble while moving it. Its worth a test
I disagree. Space control tools in rivals have great counterplay and the bubble is already a solid enough tool Ranno can use for damage and to save himself. Ranno already has an incentive to throw poison and play keep away given how fast he is. If the bubble could be used to scoop people up he could just camp with it the way far too many lox and kragg players do their projectiles.
@hades8072 zeebee is easily top 3 kragg and leffen top 3 ranno. Zeebee's kragg ran circles around leffen's ranno this whole set. I doubt ranno should be considered the top character. Maybe ranno is easiest to control, but not the best when optimized
@@marin9412leffen used bubble 4 times in game 1. 3 times it did nothing and 1 time used for recovery. In set 2 leffen used bubble a couple times and only the time it was used for recovery mattered. Ranno still has poison darts that can help, but i think the poison isnt a substantial enough gimmick

No purple k.o. on that final air down special? What kinda magic DI let's you live there😂

ranno is the best character in the game and is getting a hard nerf next patch they probably wont buff bubble

The recovery in this game is baby mode holy shit. The fact that you can airdodge and then act afterwards is a joke 😂
Do you prefer ult in which air dodging offstage is a death sentence and half of the recoveries are extremely one note
recovery IS baby mode in this game but not at all because of airdodge lmao. melee recoveries with airdodge would be sick
