Same! Watched it on the day it came out. I’ve been trying to get my friends to play KSP with me ever since. Maybe in KSP 2 when multiplayer comes out we can do a space race for real :)
They need to do a full series on this, races to every celestial body. That would be friggin sweet. Also, totally surprised Freddy had such an awesome design for his first ship, that guy is sharp.
That's some old school LAN Party! It was still very good back then. Now I'm gonna have to go and watch all of these instant classics you guys made so many years ago
This video is somehow nostalgic for me. It introduced me to one of my favorite games, and my friend and I held the top comment spots before UA-cam changed its comment system.
i love that freddie said 'janky', a friend of mine used it last week and i had never heard it before and wasn't even sure if it was a real word, thanks freddie!
Not only does this channel provide comedic content but also shares new or unknown games by majority. Like, i did not know about this game until i seen this video and it looks really interesting.
I just wanted to say THANK YOU to Lan Party for introducing this game to me. It is one of the coolest games/simulators I have ever played. I LOVE building rockets and seeing if they succeed or fail utterly in a ball of fiery doom.
Well I know node is great but I haven't seen him play a game with node for awhile. I wanna see Freddie play Attack on Titan, ya know? Just for his reaction. But overall he does makes the videos on his channel but he's gotta game!
***** He did do a reddit AMA explaining why he doesnt do node anymore, It went along the lines that they created LAN PARTY as a means to have an excuse to play video games but due to VGHS and it's popularity, he's unable to play with the lan party crew as of late. im sure that after he's done with the final season of VGHS he'll go right back to LAN Party and the freddiew rocket jump channel.
wow... none of your rocket designs made any logical sense. You could have gotten there with just two or three stages without even trying, none of that ultra-excessive rocket cluster crap - just a tank, engine on top of a tank and engine design.
Your first Mun landing in the game pretty much is a real Mun landing. All the physics are there. You have to deal with the same physics. You just have an unlimited budget and it doesn't matter how many Kerbals you kill while blowing up rockets trying to get one to work.
Not true, there is "Duna" which was the mars analog for KSP. I'm Damion Rayne, or Anthony, and I used to be the Community manager for kerbal space program. (Names in the credits for those wanting to check) and I do miss being a part of this project. Great to see these guys enjoying the game.
Guys, you need to make an extended version of this episode, I'm talking at LEAST and hour, using the extra footage that you shot. I'm sure we could all watch you guys play this game for ages :D
Halariously entertaining as always guys :) I would HIGHLY recommend installing the Engineer-Redux addon that tells you all the stats of your rocket while your building/flying your rocket. It shows stats like each stages Delta-V, Trust to weight ratios, Burn times, atmosphere effects on engine efficiency, as well as different reference bodies like seeing what your thrust to weight ratio will be on the mun, and tons more very useful info like that. Most Essential addon for KSP!
Also my (likely overlooked) suggestion from many moons ago that you should play original co-op Battletoads, two teams pitted against one another, furthest progress wins, no prisoners, no regrets, still stands.
You guys should do a repeat of this, but make a point based challenge. Like 1 point for a Mun landing, 2 for a return to Kerbin after a Mun landing, 3 for interplanetary landings, and like 0.5 points for orbital rendezvous. Or just play it again. :D
You ALL made our week! Thanks for watching and supporting NODE!
This is the video that convinced me to get Kerbal Space Program lol
And now toy have a whole channel around it

Always revisit the old videos, back in the golden age when we didn’t know how good we had it
They will never be this good again tragically, it’s just not the same.

upon seeing Freddie's first ship, the whole crew had a collective thought:
"What the hell were we thinking?"
Sei Verseicle XD
When Harvester says it it sounds like 'Kurbal'
They need to do a full series on this, races to every celestial body.
That would be friggin sweet.
Also, totally surprised Freddy had such an awesome design for his first ship, that guy is sharp.
It would be hard to get to duna and jool

Anyone here in 2024 to look back at the days of the original four
Hurts to realize your childhood is over sometimes.
I love how it says to subscribe the minute Freddie's rocket explodes...
Cabal Space Program: Destiny edition.
Not only does this channel provide comedic content but also shares new or unknown games by majority. Like, i did not know about this game until i seen this video and it looks really interesting.
I think I can do it in under 15 parts.
I just wanted to say THANK YOU to Lan Party for introducing this game to me. It is one of the coolest games/simulators I have ever played. I LOVE building rockets and seeing if they succeed or fail utterly in a ball of fiery doom.

I came here for Freddiew.. Bring back Freddiew for a day/video please!

zach meechan yeah im kinda okay with no freddiew on node. he's busy with vghs and niko and brandon are terrific to see on node.
Well I know node is great but I haven't seen him play a game with node for awhile. I wanna see Freddie play Attack on Titan, ya know? Just for his reaction. But overall he does makes the videos on his channel but he's gotta game!

Oh, didn't know about that. Thanks! :/ Looks like I have to be patient yet again! Lol
I’m going to say like oh I’m watching this in 2024 and some bugger in 4 years is going to be like 2028 even and that just sounds insane to me
Hullo John
Niko is the friendliest looking guy I've ever seen.
What happened with freddie? I miss him :(
He's busy producing VGHS Season Three
Sam's face when he makes it to the moon would make a little baby smile.

Bob Kerman shut up!!
Kerbal Space Program is AWESOME!!!! My favorite Kerman is Jebediah because even if he's about to die, he smiles.:D
All in favor of giving NODE the command of NASA?
All hear that!!
in favor
Agreed!
Aye
Have I just seen 5 people vote for several loved idiots to take control of a very important company and commit murder?
I'm glad that they play these games, I would have never found out how amazing this game is.
D lose a lot of weight in 2015.
+Violet It's Freddy.
+aidan mcdonald it's a joke lol
Oh yeah... This is the internet, so everything is taken seriously though.
+Tboc13 Get dud Skrubs! No the internet is the complete opposite
Violet lol
this brings back some bittersweet memories
wow... none of your rocket designs made any logical sense. You could have gotten there with just two or three stages without even trying, none of that ultra-excessive rocket cluster crap - just a tank, engine on top of a tank and engine design.
*****
believe me there's a lot more rocket science involved in KSP than you think.
Sonnixification woosh
lol true but excessive rocket designs are epic
It's not like it's rocket sci... Oh.
This is the best. More KSP! You guys play chutes and ladders with the learning curve.
I love the wall of guitars in the background
Definitely need more LAN parties of this game. This was awesome.
Scott, that's probably your most fitting phrase ever!
That's really impressive. It sounds like you're a truly fulfilled person.
"I need to map the terrain with some sort of lasers or some shit"
i love the sincronized landing gear sound effects XD
Oh my god that little guy looked so stoked!!
Guys thanks for making this for everyone
damn it's crazy that the room they're in now is now just the corridor main offices lol
I jumped out of my chair and started screaming victory with my hands up at 11:04
Ahh, I remember when I was that nubby... The good 'ol days... I'd love to see them dock!
Your first Mun landing in the game pretty much is a real Mun landing. All the physics are there. You have to deal with the same physics. You just have an unlimited budget and it doesn't matter how many Kerbals you kill while blowing up rockets trying to get one to work.
I’m glad this was recommended, all the memories
Its crazy
Brandon: " HAHAHAHAHAHAAHAHAHHooooohhhhhhhhh, that was brutal", made my day :)
Ok, been watching some deep stuff about the simulation theory, and was deep in thought, now it's time to cheer up and just watch Node.
Awesome! So glad you guys finally played this.
Watching this made me get the game and I will not rest till I get a Kerbal to Mars and back :) I will totally have to record it.
One of my favorite LANs!
Not true, there is "Duna" which was the mars analog for KSP. I'm Damion Rayne, or Anthony, and I used to be the Community manager for kerbal space program. (Names in the credits for those wanting to check) and I do miss being a part of this project. Great to see these guys enjoying the game.

I like how Freddie never played the game before but he went immediately to asparagus staging.
this is probably my favorite node lanparty ^_^
I'm just imagining that they're each the head of a different country and they're all in a space race with each other
One small step for Node one giant leap for Node Kind
Still an amazing video
yea im on it!!! plays everything sooooo well
Oh wow, that was hilarious! Yeah, I've done Mun landings and return flights on just demo parts, but holy cow that was totally over-the-top funny.
Ah, the frantic slapping of the space key during a mission ending disaster.
Love the guy in the background most likely doing some 3D Homework wondering whats going on
Loved all of Freddie's rockets :)
Brandon's laugh gets me all the time!
first time i see this game running so smooth
brandon cheering for sam made me happy
Looks like alot of fun for you guys. Right on
This is the greatest game commercial ever.
I don't think Niko had 25+ hours of gameplay before this. I'm fourteen and made orbit within five hours...
So have I. Your point being?
Marius2Rocker Pssh went to eeloo using a tin can full of magic gass
I made it to the mun in less than 2 hours. Albeit I did watch some tutorials first
Man, I flipped out when I saw the title!! Best game ever!!
Halariously entertaining as always guys :) I would HIGHLY recommend installing the Engineer-Redux addon that tells you all the stats of your rocket while your building/flying your rocket.
