I’m about to switch out my 2017 GTI for a 2015 Golf R so this was really helpful. I’ll definitely want to at least upgrade to the MIB2.5.

Hi, do you have the part number for the trim around the radio for a RHD car?
I got a 2021 gti s and have been wanting the screen with navigation and the car button cause mine doesn’t have them and no brain unit in the glove box if I bought the headunit, the brain box and relocation harness. I know I’d get navigation but would the performance monitor be added somehow?
Yes the mib2.5 comes with the performance monitor.
Did you have to change the USB Hub for the USB port?
If I bought the mib2.5 + 9.2" screen off vw central, would it work with a mk7 2015 golf tsi? Also vw central ask for vin number for these parts, does that mean I can get around component protection?

Hey. I am thinking about to upgrade the MIB in my Passat GTE 2017. but after the installatio, does the gateway abs then new mib require coding?
Just the unit needs coding no existing modules need to be recoded after an mib upgrade.
I just replaced my screen for my Golf mk7 GTD 2015 from a Mib1 screen to a discovery pro screen but i noticed that the quality of my audio has decreased can someone help me out on a fix?
Did you manage to solve it? do you have fender sound?
U need to upgrade to mib2
This is due to the mib2 unit is a fendor or dynaudio unit. The parameters need to be changed when going. From standard audio to dynaudio or fendor.

Hei, i want to do same thing on my passat b8, found display 9.2 inch and navig. Clust. At passanger side but it wont light up screen.i had mib 1 without nav. Sist. And smal display.this 2 parts i want to instal are from 2 diffrent cars and i dont have all cabels misssing 2 jacks. I was thinking it will work without nav. Sist. But it dosnt light up , can you help ?
Sounds like your missing wiring. And the tools to match them to the car.

I had this done on my car a few months ago and it's worked great, the only issues I've noticed is that when I scan the car for faults I get a component protection fault which I'm unsure is normal or not.
I've also noticed that my performance monitor doesn't work as all temps do not display and the boost gauge is stuck at 14psi constantly no matter what rpm I am at. Is there a simple coding fix for this through obd11 or is there a more complex needed to sort this out?
Depending on the model of your vehicle it may not be able to read the engine correctly which is why you may not have the performance indicators working correctly.
@@vehiclecodingretrofits I have a 2014 golf r, but I have seen one post saying that the ecu was tweaked in the 2015 golf r so that these values are shown correctly. Is this correct?
That’s mib1 your 2014 r,from 2016 up it’s mib2
