The episode with RS Rudy and his divorced parents is actually one of the great episodes of Bob's Burgers. I like how the writers approached the Belchers from his direction, and how their lives are much better than Rudy's family... 😔
Rudy and Louise are one of the best cartoon "toy ships" ever. Honestly they have shades of Bob and Linda, now that I think about it, a (mostly) calm guy who's drawn to a chaotic girl for the adventures she brings into his life, and in turn he evens her out and brings out her softer side. Typically a girl like Louise would totally steamroll a guy like Rudy and he'd just let her, but Bob's Burgers is just really good at writing relationships both good and bad.
I think it is impossible to not love regular-sized Rudy. He has a pretty good dynamic with everyone on the show, not just Louise. If he dyed his hair black, he could pass for a 4th Belcher kid, or at least their country cousin from Quebec (place of origin for the Belcher surname). I would love to see pocket-sized Rudy get a little more exposure. He has only been mentioned a few times in the show, but one episode showcased that Louise actually has a strong sense of justice when she stood up for him because some bullies were playing keep away with his lunch. Regular-sized Rudy seems like he would be an animal lover. It would be great if he had a pet, one he is probably allergic too, but he still hugs and cuddles his puppy/kitten/bunny and needs to alternate between being affectionate, taking a drag from his inhaler, and using his epi-pen.
Ugh, Avatar: The Last Airbender and Bob's Burgers are the only animated shows that also do the side characters justice. Regular Size Rudy x Louise is great because they work plantonically *AND* romantically; even if they don't end up together romantically, I'll be happy ngl
This video should have more views! You did such a good job. Rudy has become one of my favorites he's hilarious. "They should serve a meal on that flight." his line deliveries are iconic. I hope to see more of Rudy in future episodes 🙏 🙌. I love how you touched on the fact that he can stand up for himself and to Louise if needed. He has his own opinions, and if he feels like something isn't ok or Louise is going too far, he's not afraid to tell her. Like that moment at his birthday party when he blew up at Louise because she wouldn't listen to him. The writers could have had Rudy forgive her easily or just brush aside what she did. But nah, he was rightfully upset. And Louise had to make it up to him. (In a very cute way I may add) Just really good video I'm always up for someone talking about Rudy. As well as Rudy and Louise's friendshi. Because they're really cute and I agree they definitely ride or die. (And the little crush Louise has on him is super cute,)

I looove Rudy!! I saw someone on Reddit call him a square (lovingly) and that fits him so well. In S13 and S14 I really started to realize just how easily he slots in with the Belchers, heck, they even gave him a primary role in Louise’s potential future and it didn’t feel out of place at all. The over protective parents of kids with medical needs statement is absolutely true! My cousin is very high on the autism scale. My aunt (who passed when he was 16) was tying his shoes for him and cutting his food at 16. He came to live with us after and he had to learn these basic skills at 16! He learned quickly because yes he is autistic but he isn’t helpless

I don't think it's a bad thing that Rudy's dad doesn't mention he has a kid until after the first date. If you advertise you have a kid while looking for dates, that could attract gross, dangerous people. But yeah leaving him by himself for his parenting time frequently, and the catfishing, does suck of him lol.
I personally think its important to mention that you're a parent because not everyone wants to potentially become a step parent. Dating someone with a kid is different than dating someone childless. They come with different expectations you know. Its up to his dad to weed out any creepy people and ask the right follow up questions. That's just my perspective though. I grew up with a single mom who always was upfront about having kids and made sure they knew her kids come first. But a respect your perspective too. I do like seeing different povs in my comments. It gets me thinking lol

Rudy doesn’t just spend the weekend with his dad he spends every other week as with his dad not weekend. And Rudy does have the same last name as his dad because they say it the very first time we meet him.
The writers actually went back and forth on where he lives. He did at one point says he goes to his dads on the weekend in the bounce house episode and the wine train episode. Then they changed it so it seems like he lives with his dad. Because of the recent seasons (after this video was made) I assume he just goes back and forth and rotates between them. His parents live walking distance from each other so they probably have equal custody. Also this was the 2nd bobs burgers video I ever made and at the time I didn't know his last name. I went off of memory and forgot they said his name already. I already corrected myself in the comments a while ago. These early videos were just my thoughts, my recent videos a lot more researched.
Louise does not have a crush on Rudy. She was disgusted at the Idea of him liking her, also she was only jealous because even If you don't like someone, the Idea of being liked can be nice. They already have a strong friendship as It Is, It should stay that way.
Neither one of us can say for sure if she does or not. We interpret her actions differently and that's okay. Its all a matter of opinion. The writers are the only people who can make that choice. Rudy's episode from this season was prob the realest the show's ever got and legit hurt my heart, but such a good episode in my opinion.

Gaga ball isn’t a fabricated game from the show! It is a real game, albeit quite niche (especially with the court; unless someone is seeking out gaga ball or has had the opportunity to be somewhere with a court, it’s understandable if one hasn’t heard of the game). Just thought I’d clarify :)

Its okay, I didn't mean to come off sassy btw. I'm not specifically annoyed at you. I just got an influx of comments saying the same thing over and over again and its driving me a little crazy. Especially after I already apologized in the comments a while ago for not knowing. Like, imagine you say something wrong a year ago and people are still constantly reminding you that you made a mistake.

They did, its Stieblitz. At the time I wrote the script the movie wasn't out yet. Even then I didn't watch the movie right away.
@@TersTrippyTV true but they also said it in the museum trip episode, his last name was what had Louis ask "is that pocket sized or regular sized?" This isn't ment to be a challenge btw I just remembered these examples. I realize it might come off as "I know everything" wich isn't the vibe I'm going for.
@@fadingnoveltymug I think because she said Rudolph Stieblitz it didn't register in my head as Rudy. So you're right they did say his full name when he was introduced. Anyway, I know you're not trying to fight or anything. I just hate making mistakes like that since I'm a bit of a perfectionist. I try my best but with 13 seasons it hard to remember everything.
