JM signed my copy of the market gardener on Gabriela island in 2014. My wife and I were wwoofing on Vancouver Island at the time. We will be moving to the island in the summer of 2025 to live and work on a friends farm in Lake Cowichan. The dream is still alive and this guy is part of that inspiration. Thanks JM for keeping on keeping on💪🏽
I was 49 yrs young when I first discovered your work. I'm putting your info to work here in (chilly) Northern Alberta. I hope you keep sharing for a long time. Many thanks 😊
God bless you Jean, you and your wife have been at market gardening for along time now and earn the respect of your community and the online web. I wish you all the best and thank you for the continuous inspiration.
I'm trying to replicate your work to some extent in Japan, where absolutely nobody believes it can be done on a small scale. I'm going into my third year full-time and I really appreciated the commentary on this tour. I got frustrated last winter seeing your new big farm and Neversink and all these hugely successful run like a machine farms that I want to be like, and it just felt like I was failing. You reminded us here that this is not to brag, it's to show what's possible. Sometimes it's easy to forget that you and Connor have decades building these beautiful systems and are just showing us what is possible to grow the revolution.
@@duncaneisenslade2381 natural farming is not as successful and common in Japan as people in other countries think. It’s kinda seen as woo farming by the consumers which is why I try to differentiate my farm from natural farms even though I do use a lot of natural farming methods.
Please JM, can you make an extra video about growing your herbs? That would be super interesting! Here too, the planting distances are much smaller than in normal cultivation.
Bye Bye
This is amazing I recently just gave up on farm business and I sold my farm lands and put the money into stock investments which I made $800k this year alone better than going to through the hectic stress of farm business
that is very good to know, i myself have been investing in stocks for over 2 years now and i have been able to grow my $100k portfolio to $700k portfolio within 7 months through the help of a financial coach
EVA MARIA GOUTZOS is the licensed coach I use. Just research the name. You'd find necessary details to work with a correspondence to set up an appointment.
You mentioned black tarps but I think you mean black plastic?? Is there specific type or thickness of black plastic you recommend? I put down black plastic one year and left it out too long and had a million plastic pieces in garden.

Is your area in Japan the same climate zone?

@@Stock_ethus That's impressive! I could really use the expertise of this manager for my dwindling portfolio. Who’s the professional guiding you?

@@Stock_ethus She appears to be well-educated and well-read. I ran an online search on her name and came across her website; thank you for sharing.

How do you feel about mowing lawns?
Where do you buy the pelleted chicken manure that you use on your beds?
Growing tomatoes on the same place often creates nematodes at my farm in India !!!
Have you ever face it.
Waiting for your reply
Greetings,

Is your farm in New York?
The farm is in Quebec 💚
I want your hat. Something to sell at terrateck? Wide brims, straw ...
The best I can find (that doesn't die in 4 weeks) is a 8cm brimmed stetson ...
That's the brandywine straw hat! Sold by Growers and Co
Deer are one giant insect!
i still don't know how to market garden people
You need an air cannon and metallic boots
All that is great.
But what do you do?And you can't sell nothing. That's where i'm at
But where is your rocket launcher and shovel
I know, right?
