Allison Brown hit a grand slam on the banjo with this song. I loved it. I saw and heard this video two three years ago but I'm first responding to it now. I have played this over and over and over again. And I am hooked. Five stars to Allison and the band!

Me too - I have played it over and over, 'revisited it today and shared it to a group. Totally joyous, thrilling, ecstatic. I play banjo and am thrilled by this marvelous happening, captured forever and available here. Thanks, Juha33.

My favorite Alison Brown song. And that's a tough call.

The woman always has superb players that make this work. The musicality, goodness, bassmam Garry, keyboard players, woodwind players, guitarists and mandolin/violinists. Fabulous!

I love this. Alison Brown is one of reasons why I attempt to play the banjo myself. She rocks.

The piano player nailed it on the jazz riffs.

Absolutely super! Probably the greatest female banjoist out there; the pianist is also terrific! Not to mention Joe Craven , who can play ANYTHING!!

I like all music, and all music sometime or another gets into the pentatonic scales when good musicians get together.

From the Telluride 2003 (30 Years) DVD. The whole dang DVD is amazing. Try to find the first cut "Deeper and Deeper" with Sam Bush Band, Bela Fleck and John Cowan (what a voice).

Terrifically talented and equally understated musician, with a quiet stage presence. Many thanks to Alison Brown for taking time out of her first appearance at the world renowned Shetland Folk Festival (was it really 1994?) and patiently showing me some banjo techniques.
    I’m still picking.

I could love bluegrass music if there just wasn't so many nerds and geeks involved. I went to a huge bluegrass festival here in Minnesota and I swear it was inhabited by a couple thousand people with out friends.

I think it's because they had no way of getting an actual piano to the area that they are playing in!Pianos are heavy...

  • @rickmystic

And every time you move a freakin' acoustic piano you have to tune it - and that's time and money and hassle.
