I am also a KVian. I've studied in two different KVs: KV 2, Firozpur and KV Aliganj, Lucknow. Every KV is very unique in itself and the best thing is your classmates come from different parts of India. KVs gives lots of time and opportunity to let the child explore its potential. The quality of education may vary from KV to KV. In my opinion, it entirely depends on the teacher. If you're getting good teachers, then nothing is better than this. KVs provide ample opportunities in sports, music and other sectors as well. My best takeaway from KV is to learn German language and being a part of "German in 1000 schools."

All KV's are best and none of the KV is run by IIT. KV's are the part of KVS under the Ministry of HRD. All KV's are unique. I have been to 5 Kv's and remeber the memories of my school days.

I have a fairly good experience of few Kv s due to my two sons.Being in army had to put them at places like Dimapur in Nagaland during the highly active insurgency days,then in a faraway place from Alahabad and finally at Dehuroad cantonment in PUNE. None cud b compared with each other due to various factors.It wud b injustice to the school staff to award grades. We do not know what we're the criteria points based on which these grading were awarded.Apparently schools near IITs r doing well.The reasons shud b found out and corrective action must b taken to ensure,all,100% schools in top lotSuch grading appears to b arbitrarily decided and is quite discouraging for others. Not a good way of presenting the overall image of Kvs.
