Masawa is existing and we thank God that we have a capable governor who is transforming our town faster..am alumni of homabay primary school. People of great homabay county is happy...we only need opportunities for youths and God willing we'll have industries like like cotton processing industry, pineapple as well.
Hongera to Mama Governor and the County Government......Asego ( Homabay) is taking her rightful place on the list of the Eastern Africa Lake Region's 7:437:43 urban centres...as indeed the entire County which is now on the right trajectory for development!!!

Mobile Money Payment/Mpesa is yet to fully be embraced even then. I missed the LAST bus from HomaBay to Nakuru, as I didn't have cash and they neither accepted Lipa na Mpesa nor POS/Visa/MasterCard. I had to go and withdraw the cash at a nearby kiosk and by the time I returned, the bus had left half-full right in my face. 😅
Rubbish. IMO speculative land purchases should be legally banned, and a punitive land value tax imposed on land (especially in productive or soon to be highly productive areas). We have a horrible culture of putting any and all investment money in land as opposed to productivity. If you have money to invest, invest in productivity, not land. Your pockets will grow larger than they would in basic land speculation, and productive industries will create several high value jobs, greatly improving the quality of life for yourself and the other Homa bay residents. Otherwise you'll just end up with Nairobi 'lite' at best.
