The FAL is a battle rifle IRL and fire 308 NATO (7.62x51). It can be used in a light DMR role when needed. In reality the gunshot report is too quiet for the gun (gaming reasons). Breakpoint should have used the FAL SA-58 OSW, the modern take on the FAL. With lots of rail space for attachments and different barrel lengths the gun would be a jack of all trades. But i guess Ubisoft wanted a legacy weapon for Breakpoint (the gun was in Wildlands too but hardly usable).
I have a buddy that loves the FAL in wildlands so we did a full playthrough only using that.... it's still not in my top 5 but it's definitely serviceable and fun.
I remember playing that first base exactly once. The map layout is not intuitive at all. The FN FAL shoots a 7.62 round, so that explains the long barrel, lack of bullet drop and the sound does not equate to that powerful of a round. Probably better suited for a DMR than an assault rifle.
Haha, funny, I was literally just at camp ferret doing a side mission. You can take the tunnel like 1.2 km to a middle area called 'food storage'/'gentlemen's club' (something like that). The tunnel continues on to (I think) camp weasel. I thought it was pretty cool, but yeah, confusing. Nice work, btw, as usual great vid.
There is a side mission at Camp Ferret where you have to disarm/detonate an old Cold War nuke. I've been to this base and done this mission at least 5 times and I still get lost occasionally. What's even more insane is after you clear this you have to follow that underground tunnel to another semi confusing base (not as bad as Ferret, but worse than most).
Lol this is a good one. I started watching your stuff over the weekend, when I looked for a VHSD2 weapon showcase. Well done Sir. I finished act 2 last week after a year hiatus and doing act 3 now, not sure how long Ubisoft's servers are still going to be up since AC-Shadows etc. Other woke slop is scaring gamers and investors off, Ubisoft's shares have plummeted. I hope we'll fortunate enough to get GR Project Over. With a toggle 1st person / 3rd person aspect. Funny enough I was kind of hoping to see you clear a big base blind like Camp Ferret since you know the other areas so well. Echelon is my favourite. Shark base was the worst. Also playing with no HUD on Tactical Elite custom. You make it look real easy though. Getting such quick successive headshots in is basically impossible on a Playstation controller. My go to loadout is Scorpion EVO3 Tactical, Scorpio Scout, MK 23 and Fourth Echelon drip, except for Oakley light assault boots. Cheers all.
Bros you gotta try the AR-18 that thing packs a punch little to no recoil nor sound. When i want to get shii done i choose the ar-18. I dont use it often because you cant customize it as much as other rifles. But god damn its good.

Or the AK 4C or 4D.. That would've been cool as well even though it's less used worldwide than the SA-58.

With me I've always looked for high damage weapons regardless of what it looked or sounds like.. damage to me is what counts..less ammo to be used
I use the arx 200 with 37 damage ..I've used the MK17 assault.that has 42 damage

I commonly use the FN FAL as a DMR when I want to use a pseudo DMR for whatever reason.
