Build, Break, Fix, Repeat... it's the name of the game! What's the point of building up your rig if you don't plan on pushing it's limits from time to time, right?!
Another great video. Trails like 73 is the reason why I bought a side by side🤘 You've convinced me, I need to make a cross country trip and ride those trails.
Thanks Robb! We are the same, it’s trails like this that really give you that offroad fix and adrenaline rush. It’s amazing what these machines can do when you push them. It’s about an 11-12 hour drive for us to get to these trails from home and it’s worth every minute. I’d say its worth driving even further than that. There’s a ton of other places on our bucket list to hit also.

Animal would enjoy that. I could only imagine how difficult and challenging those trails are in real life. Camera really misses the depth. Hats off to you and your group for taking the challenge on.

Ya, I’m amazed no one else broke anything. The broken sway bar could have been avoided if I had noticed the racket was damaged before we left for the trip. That was a fail on my end. The blown shock was just bad luck I think. They were still the original shock seals with 7000 miles on them so it’s understandable. All in all, still a wicked time.

Thanks John. After studying the video countless times editing I see I made some rookie mistakes in a few spots but that’s how we learn and get better. The way corney hit it in the KRX was awesome. Colin also did really well in the white Pro XP. We all had a ton of fun on these trails.

ALSO LOVE THE LONGER VIDEOS DO MORE LONGER RIDING ONES AND SAVE THE SHORT STUFF FOR STUFF LIKE HOW TO WASH YOUR MACHINE ETC.
Thanks Jhon! Love the feedback man, helps me a lot hearing what you guys think. Personally I love the longer format content and I'm using this series as a bit of a test to see what formats do better overall. A ton of people keep tellin me to make shorter videos but none of the shorter ones seem to do as well as the long edits. It's hard finding a balance. I'm gonna keep mixing it up moving forward depending on the content but don't worry, the long format content isn't going anywhere. It's my trademark and my favorite. Filming while riding this terrain definitely adds some complexities. I can never hold focus on just the ride. I have to keep flip flopping between riding and filming and at times even wrenching, lol. Luckily I love chaos!
Great, great video! Question: The non-turba Kawi seemed to do just as well as yours. What do you gain with a turbo? You will do better, faster on easier trails, but when wheels spin, wheels spin.
Great comment Bruce! We have had this same talk many times on the trails. The general consensus seems to be that however they designed and geared the KRX they nailed how it puts power down. It doesn’t “lack” power on technical trails or crawling. It just has an awesome ability to lay every little bit of power it has down as traction. It never spins wheels, it just connects. Of course if you added another 50HP that might change. However, I’m a firm believer that Offroad or even in automotive racing the only kind of power that really matters is “useable” power. 200 HP is useless when you can’t put it to the ground. With the turbo machines we often see a little too much throttle can spin the wheels and once you lose grip you rarely get it back. In the KRX it’s foot to the floor and full traction. The RZR 900S is similar. Enough power to get the job done but not enough to tear itself apart.

I ride without any sway bars and the ride is incredible. In NH we don't have many high speed trails, And for the r&t it perfect.
Heck yeah man, wicked trails! You'd love it. We busted New York Mike's chops pretty hard, he said he will never turn around again, even if he knows he should, LOL! He proved it on our next trip when he met us in Tennessee and ended up rolling the machine over trying to get over something he knew he shouldn't, LOL!!!! So he wasn't bluffing.
Thanks man! The UA-cam universe just doesn’t make sense sometimes. Numbers continue to grow, so I’m happy overall. I try not to focus on that stuff too much just making fun content. I wanna try and add the different vehicle cameras this season for some videos. It adds a ton of work but it will def be awesome.
You should be proud Trent. We have made some wonderful memories riding in your beautiful state. It’s always a wonderful experience. So many great people, scenery, trails and history.
I've been to hatfield mccoy and know how the camera doesn't do the terrain justice, so the fact that it looked sketchy and steep on the video, you know it has to be crazy lol. Great job
Thanks Jake, glad you enjoyed it. You nailed it, if it looks sketchy on camera it’s 10x crazier in reality. Anyone that rides can imagine what it’s really like. This was one of the highlights of our trip.
Loved this video you guys are BADASS 🤘💯🤘Bummer that the rzr took so much damage but really not that much considering the trails there🤷♂️ Team AJP for the Win!!!
I’d say spring or fall. Fall when the colours change is beautiful. In the summer when we went here is crazy hot and humid. Luckily it had rained quite a bit before so it wasn’t dusty. It sucks in the dust. Realistically though, anytime during spring, summer or fall is great.

Ya, the KRX is a beast on terrain like this. I really like the Megabites. They are tough tire. I have never punctured or damaged one. They have tough sidewalls and they work well in all conditions I’ve had them in. You’ll like them. Glad you enjoyed the video!
Great video so far! Lol I'm only half way through at the moment but I was wondering if you guy air down for these trails? We picked up our unit this past week and I can't even imagine getting up these trails. Although it's a 4 seater so it might not even be possible? lol. Looking forward to finishing the video!
Congrats on the new machine Cody. Don’t underestimate the 4 seater chassis. They do a lot better in some areas due to the longer wheelbase. It’s always a trade off in Powersports/Motorsports. Better in one area and weaker in another. It’s all about finding what works for your needs. I’m gonna end up getting a 4 seater in the next year or so likely. Which unit did you get? Glad you enjoyed the video man.
@@AdrenalineJunkieProd that's true, we did some wheeling with our 4 door jeep and there were definitely some areas it shined in. We ended up going with a pro xp for ours. Pretty excited to put it through its paces.
Hey Julian, it's John. Really hope I could join you guys on a ride one time just in the process of ordering a skid plate. Just wondering what skid plates you guys run?
If wireless under carriage cameras needed a video to explain why they're needed. Pretty sure this vid nailed it. One question, who's brite idea was it to let Greg go first ? Ever ?!?!? You're asking for carnage 😅 to any and all followers.
LMAO!!! Super Greg always has a way of sneaking to the front of the pack. He's a natural born leader, lol. I think his plan is to lead by example, LOL! Excellent point on the under carriage cameras though. This is a great example of how a front camera like the ones that come on the newer RZR's would be a HUGE benefit. It's easy to forget what's in front of you or just not see it clearly. May have to think about getting one.
For sure it would be. I’ve got a drone but it’s too much to manage with riding and filming with the other cameras. You almost need a dedicated person to look after the drone aspect of things. There’s a lot going on during the rides so it gets overwhelming.
Greg has a 2021 Pro XP ultimate. On this ride he was runing 30X10X14 BDC tires on stock non-beadlock rims. He has a set of 32 inch carnivores on beadlocks as his main wheel and tire setup but wanted to try the smaller setup on this trip.
Have you looked into adding gopro telemetry data to your videos? You should be able to pull lean and pitch data from the video footage and overlay it as the videos don't always do the terrain justice on how extreme the angles are. Enjoy watching your content, thanks!
I was wondering if anyone would notice that! I thought it was hilarious when I was editing the video and noticed it. Anyone saying these trails aren’t extreme should pay more attention to the tablet lol 😂
@@AdrenalineJunkieProd Have you thought about getting an inclinometer? I wonder if there’s a way of getting the GoPro to overlay it, like it does with speed and gps data?
Plan is to organize a few over this next year. I wanna get as many of you guys on the rides and in the vids as possible. I don’t think anything would be cooler than that. I’ll be trying to plan it out in the near future and will post details on Facebook/Instagram and the website.
Who’s your optometrist, so I know never to go there… lol. Glad you enjoyed the vid, tire soon and tire smoke are always fun. All sorts of different tires. No tire is gonna give you magical grip in these loose rocky conditions. I know a lot of people will say get some Rokzillas but those too won’t magically get us up the hill. With that being said I really want a set of sticky compound Zillas to try!
@@tcnpsu1 what do you consider off brand? I’m running Tusk Megabites, big brand. Can-Am Maverick running EFX Moto claws, big brand, white and blue Pro XP running Maxxis Carnivores, big brand. KRX running maxxis carnivores, big brand. Grey and blue pro xp running BDC’s so potentially one could argue that’s more of an off brand. I really don’t see the point of “off brand” though. Are you one of those guys that thinks only Maxxis Rokzillas belong on rock? Lol. Brand bias is silly. Get what you like, but what you can afford, try new things and have fun doin it. Anyways, not busting your chops just pointing out that there are literally hundreds of tire models on the market now for UTVs and there’s no real classification of what does and does not fall under the designation of “off brand”

Hey Chip, never. Haven't had it in for years. Only machine in this group running a front sway bar is the General I think. None of the core #TeamAJP riders run a front sway bar. Only time you really need one is very aggressive high speed riding. In these conditions not having one is a huge huge benefit. I talk about it a bit later in the video.
@@AdrenalineJunkieProd Ya, I made the comment just after I started watching and seen on the first climb that it looked like the one side was coming up alot. I have both of mine out.
Hey, I've got some videos on the channel that show my camera gear and I talk about settings and stuff. Are you referring to Adobe Creative Cloud? I like it, I've been using it for many many years. I use a lot of Adobe software, photoshop, lightroom, premiere pro, indesign, acrobat, illustrator and a few others from time to time. To me it makes sense to pay the monthly subscription but if you just want to dabble in some occasional editing then you can find cheaper options. My subscription is around $100 a month (Canadian dollars). With that being said, Premiere Pro is known for being very buggy and glitchy, especially the last few releases. So at times it's frustrating but many are committed to the software due to the amount of time we have used it so we deal with the headaches.

I’ve turned around or taken an easy line on plenty of trails in the past. If you’re not feeling it then it’s best to follow your gut and go around.
Thanks! We were also happy with the Generals performance on the double blacks and it was great riding with you guys!
Another great video. I have some wrenching to do this week so we can ride the weekend. Truth be told I enjoy that part of this hobby too. Even the "fixing" stuff while out on the trail, while i wouldn't call it fun, is a part of the experience and i like seeing the creative problem solving.
Thanks! I agree, you need to enjoy all of it. The breakdowns and wrenching aren't as fun as the climbs and riding but they are part of the experience.
I'm watching now and I know without a doubt something is gonna break. Wow. Those are tough trails. This is what it's all about.
Build, Break, Fix, Repeat... it's the name of the game! What's the point of building up your rig if you don't plan on pushing it's limits from time to time, right?!
@@AdrenalineJunkieProd Amen. Mine is broken more than it runs so, yea. It was a great video. Thanks for the share.
@@sxsoutcast7651 Glad you enjoyed it man!!
Another great video. Trails like 73 is the reason why I bought a side by side🤘
You've convinced me, I need to make a cross country trip and ride those trails.
Impressive! Not trails for the faint heart. Great job and thanks for sharing.
Thanks man! A little above novice level but still far from the most extreme, lol. You should bring the Animal out for an adventure with us this season and we can get you in the videos!!
Animal would enjoy that. I could only imagine how difficult and challenging those trails are in real life. Camera really misses the depth. Hats off to you and your group for taking the challenge on.
This video is incredible! Makes me want to pack my stuff and move across the country! The terrain plus that incline is nuts! Great vid! Just made my day! Gonna watch this one a few times! 🤙🏼
Thanks Russell!! Stoked you enjoyed it so much. It was such a fun day of riding with such awesome terrain. I don't blame you for wanting to move, I feel the same way, lol. Can't wait to go back and attempt more climbs like this!
east riding is def funner
Nice job, amazed you didn't break anything else.
Congratulations on your marriage, your wife is beautiful and what a trooper she is !!! God bless you both!!!!
Thank you Joe. Appreciate the thoughtful words. She’s a great woman and I’m lucky to have her by my side. Heck, we are all lucky to have her as a camera girl, plus she’s a lot cuter then all the guys, lol 😂
great video, thanks for taking us all along for the ride!
Thanks for joining us Scott, glad you enjoyed the ride.
Haha y'all learned you need a "spider pole" to remove all the spider webs ahead of you as you go down these southern trails... 🙂🍻
That was an awesome video 🤙🏼 Thanks! Those trails were sweet 🤩
Thanks man! Ya, the trails are absolutely awesome. Wish we had more time to spend on them.
been waiting all day to watch an it defiantly did not disappoint! best video of this trip so far!
Thanks!! I agree it’s definitely the best video of the series. We had a ton of fun riding and filming this episode.
Was there this past weekend for just a day. Went up 73 and 80 with an xp1000 with 32" rockzillas and all the upgraded suspension like A-arms and radius rods. and krx 35" rockzillas sticky compound.
Wicked Joey! Super fun trail. Were the conditions similar to the video here?
Amazing ride and enjoyed every minute of the video. A little Carnegie is expected in that type of terrain . I am sure the smiles , laughter, and great memories are worth it. 🙂. 👍.
100% worth it Lloyd!
I hope you post a video on any major repairs you do on the battle wagon and the new cage installation as well. Sucks to break stuff but wrenching on your toys is like therapy lol. Awesome video man.
You know I will. Once this series of videos is done I’ll be releasing a video of the entire roll cage build from start to finish before I move onto the next series from our Tennessee trip. Glad you enjoyed the video.
God I can’t wait to go there someday
It’s so awesome man. I can’t wait to go back.
Omg. That trail was wicked. It looked so frigging steep and gnarly.
It’s even crazier in real life man! It was so badass!
Awesome video! Can't wait to see the rest of the series! Can't wait to head back down to WV, 5 more weeks to go!
Thanks man! I can't wait to go back too. Hope you have an awesome trip! What trail systems will you be riding? You gonna try going up 73?
Absolutely!! I even got my dad addicted to your videos! We are doing Buffalo Mountain, we did bearwallow/rock house last year and well we aren't hardcore like you guys, we are a cruiser type. Still have a blast down there, riding back home just isn't the same(Pennsylvania)
@@jfresh360 trust me, I can relate to the riding at home not being the same lol. You guys should hit some of the Devil Anse trails if you have time. Some nice cruiser trails there too. I like all sorts of Terrain. I don’t mind cursing either, depends what mindset we are in. When we come out her though we want those challenging trails that push the limits. Pumped to hear both you and your dad enjoy the videos.

Great work Julian and #teamAJP!!! You guys rock! Love the longer technical content.
Thanks, stoked you enjoy the longer videos! I really enjoy the longer edits too.
Good video bro! Some gnarly trails! Scariest part for me was the camera almost getting Collin take a piss after the roll 😂😂 🫣
Lmao!! There was a few clips like that… the other ones were a bit more terrifying so I cut them out completely 😂 I don’t know what it is but it’s like the camera attracts the pissers, lol.

Enjoyed the video but I have a question? What’s with all the black rubber laying under the rocks on the trails? Are they making their trails and that’s for erosion?
The thick black rubber seems to be on all the super steep trails that double as drainage during rain. It’s to prevent erosion as far as I know.
Nice driving Julian.
Thanks John. After studying the video countless times editing I see I made some rookie mistakes in a few spots but that’s how we learn and get better. The way corney hit it in the KRX was awesome. Colin also did really well in the white Pro XP. We all had a ton of fun on these trails.
BEST VIDEO ON YOUR WHOLE CHANNEL!!! (ALTHOUGH FISH EPIC ROLL OVER COMES CLOSE. MAD RESPEECT FOR NOT ONLY GOING UP 73 BUT FILMING AT THE SAME TIME. ME AND MY CREW LIVE FOR STUFF LIKE THIS AND NEVER GO AROUND (AND BROKEN A TON OF PARTS OVER THE YEARS) BUT WE AREN'T TOP HEAVY FROM CAMERA GEAR OR MESSING WITH CAMERA GEAR WHILE RIDING SO MAD RESPECT TO YOU FOR THAT.
Another epic video 👍👍👍😊
Thanks Todd!!!! 😁
This content always gets me going for the year really build up the enthusiasm to go out in the garage and turn some wrenches on the old og maverick

Pretty sure that first section was the reverse of the trail sxs blog did where one of the guys flipped into the back of that abandoned pickup truck. Isn't it?
Yes. This is the trail they went down, trail 73.
I definitely need to be on the next ride there!! That rock&trail edition guy should trade it in for the "turn around " edition lol.Thats the same machine I have and that's exactly why I bought it, to go up trails like that.

In your opinion what time of year is best to visit the Hatfield & Macoy trails ?
I’d say spring or fall. Fall when the colours change is beautiful. In the summer when we went here is crazy hot and humid. Luckily it had rained quite a bit before so it wasn’t dusty. It sucks in the dust. Realistically though, anytime during spring, summer or fall is great.
What a great video man , really surprised how well all the machines did up that trail all the ones that went up it lol 😂 glad u guys are ok , can’t wait to see the next video n hell with the new cage save that money for your new 4 seater , your gonna need some time getting used to that length.

Super fun video, quick question. How do you like the Megabites ? I just ordered a set for my KRX have you had any punctures? Any input would be appreciated.
Also great riding, it’s so amazing how easy that KRX add it look. Next time send him first so other people don’t turn around 😂

Would a small camera drone be worth it in trails like this?
For sure it would be. I’ve got a drone but it’s too much to manage with riding and filming with the other cameras. You almost need a dedicated person to look after the drone aspect of things. There’s a lot going on during the rides so it gets overwhelming.
Top tier!!!

What vehicle is Greg wheeling and tire set up. Looks like you guys aren't even on bead locks. Pretty amazing stuff.
Greg has a 2021 Pro XP ultimate. On this ride he was runing 30X10X14 BDC tires on stock non-beadlock rims. He has a set of 32 inch carnivores on beadlocks as his main wheel and tire setup but wanted to try the smaller setup on this trip.
@@AdrenalineJunkieProd looks like they did the buisness on that climb . You guys run high air pressures to keep the tires on the rims?
Have you looked into adding gopro telemetry data to your videos? You should be able to pull lean and pitch data from the video footage and overlay it as the videos don't always do the terrain justice on how extreme the angles are. Enjoy watching your content, thanks!
I thought i heard you weren't aloud to night Ride @ Hatfield McCoy
24:28 So much lean, the tablet’s screen reoriented. 👍
I was wondering if anyone would notice that! I thought it was hilarious when I was editing the video and noticed it. Anyone saying these trails aren’t extreme should pay more attention to the tablet lol 😂
@@AdrenalineJunkieProd Have you thought about getting an inclinometer? I wonder if there’s a way of getting the GoPro to overlay it, like it does with speed and gps data?

lol try being the guy in front on a dirt bike and taking those spiders to the face
What tires are you all running? So i know what to not buy. Terabytes? Ridiculous how much spinning was going on. Great Video too as usual!
@@AdrenalineJunkieProd Ive been on that hill. The KRX had Maxis tires. Looks like the rest of you are running off brand.
In the "Oh F**K" scale of trails. Im sure the Hatfield and McCoy can deliver no problem.
Ya, there is no shortage of extreme trails here and if you want more I’ve been told the outlaw trails around the area are even wilder.
My machine came from the factory with no front sway bar and technically has no rear sway bar but has rather a link that ties each rear trailing arm solid together . Can am genius engineering lmao 🤣

One bad decision could ruin this entire ride up the mountain..........."lets drink some Bud Lights !" 😂
Hey Julian, have you got your front sway bar in?
Hey Chip, never. Haven't had it in for years. Only machine in this group running a front sway bar is the General I think. None of the core #TeamAJP riders run a front sway bar. Only time you really need one is very aggressive high speed riding. In these conditions not having one is a huge huge benefit. I talk about it a bit later in the video.
@@AdrenalineJunkieProd Ya, I made the comment just after I started watching and seen on the first climb that it looked like the one side was coming up alot. I have both of mine out.
@@cyimages How do you like it with the rear out? I feel it's just way too sloppy overall. It tips so damn easy.
I would have turned around to but if I had spare axles & driveshafts tires like other people plus a small tool cabinet
would you do a show on camera equipment, how many you have , different mounts, batteries etc? how about cloud suite? is that a good program?
