Fun story about English to Polish translation barriers. At one point we were discussing images of Jack to use, and I said something like, "I think he should be toasting in the picture, because that's his signature move." The next day I got a reply that went, "So I was very confused by your last message. I asked around the office about what you meant and we were all baffled. Finally, someone explained that "toast" in English means raising a glass. We were really confused why you'd want a picture of yourself buttering toast on your dice set." Sadly, we didn't use the image of Jack toasting his flask. Evidently some of the countries that Q-Workshop distributes to have strict drinking laws, and with the dice being technically a toy, they could get into some difficulty if the package appears to be promoting drinking. I offered to pose with Jack buttering bread instead, but we decided that was probably too much of an inside joke for anyone else to find as funny as we did.
@@SSkorkowsky funnily enough, in Polish we also say "toast" to mean raising a glass, although we don't have it as a standalone verb (it would be toastować if we did) - instead we say "wznosić toast" (lit. raising a toast). Toast as a piece of browned crunchy bread is "tost" in Polish, and "tostować" means "to make a [bread] toast", so yeah I can totally see how the confusion developed! And such a shame we won't see Jack making himself a breakfast nor toasting a drink to his dinner on the box. A funny story nonetheless!
I do not play any games today and have not since I was a teenager (no less than 3 decades ago). However, I came across your channel a few years ago and have been a fan ever since. Seth’s dice sets at Q Workshop are still in the pre-order stage (as of 31-Mar-2022). I just ordered some. The style is good and can fit in CoC games as well as fantasy RPGs. Hope to see more RPG accessories designed by Seth 👍🏼

I've just collected my dice set from the parcel machine (something we have in Poland but probably unavailable in US - get your parcel delivered to a locked box instead of your address and collect at your convenience 24/7; and a machines are everywhere, never more than half a mile from wherever you're). So I got my set and it's awesome. IRL they're even more pretty than on the pics! And they roll awesome. The "rollyness" is great, the rattle as they roll is fantastic, the numbers legibility is excellent - a great dice set. They're also quite light (weightwise). Personally I prefer heavy dice but these ones are cool. Also I got to dice for free: a clear, elven 1d8 and a green Celtic/Nordic 1d6 with Q-Workshops logo for digit 6. I recommend this buy!

Congrats, Seth. This is great news. I have always loved the d12 but sadly, it is at best, infrequently used. I solved the d100 by establishing a 10s and 1s die each a different color. Has worked a treat for about 35yrs now. In my group, our favorite and most fondly remembered NPC is Jack Thendren, a character that was an amalgam of Jack Burton (Big Trouble in Little China), every 80s action hero, and my older brother. I think it’s something in the name. Keep up the great work.

Q-Workshop has told me that individual dice sales will definitely be available through their website. They first need to make enough individual dice, as the first run was all assigned to box sets. So once they've made them, they'll be for sale.
This is the only time I have ever been tempted to buy dice online. I was pretty minimalist concerning dice when I played at a physical table but found that I often use them still when I am running a game. Noone behind the computer screen will see how cool Seth's dice are but I will know.

Those dice look amazing. As I am soon going to run my first long-term CoC campaign, the timing on these is absolutely perfect - can't wait to get my hands on them! Also, a 12-sided d6 sounds about as glorious as an 8-sided (or even 12-sided) d4.
I bought a set a week ago, It was almost everything I would want in a dice set. I was not sure about the 12-sided d6 but when I thought about it, the shape made a lot of sense. And oh boy did it not disappoint, they do roll better. So, in addition, I bought extra black percentiles, some more of those sweet rolling d6s, and for good measure an extra d20. Great set I appreciate that I can read them so easy!

I have not played any RPG from 1990. I did preorder your dice anyway. I like the dice and perhaps we will play again! We played DnD Basic about 1982, It was magic! It was only in english, I had to look up every third word in the dictionary. Slow progress. Well it worked! I added French, Spanish and German. I got into the flow.
I have never spent money faster! Thank you for all the years of fun and sage wisdom; you've taught me so much. I still have every new player I encounter watch your RPG Social Contract videos and so many others to get them engaged and ready to play. Just got my set of Seth Skorkowsky Dice set today! They look great and have a great feel and weight to them. The print quality is high too. A bit of a hiccup, as my dice arrived in the US and customs found the box empty. I contacted Q workshop and they sent a second set pronto! They tucked a cool special Q workshop 6 sided die in with the pack. Can't wait to game with them!
Dropping a comment here to say that I ordered the dice, they arrived pretty quickly (I'm based in the UK), the box is nice and easy to open without damaging, so you can still store the dice in there if you wanted to and the dice/box look very nice!

I noticed there's a new type of d4 as well.
The Cubed d6 is far more material efficient so it will never die, this 12 sided d6 is just a fad, like flappers.

After the April release, they should become available on Amazon or be ordered through your FLGS, which should hopefully make the shipping a lot less.

Having a different d6 means it can be used as a Wild Die in Savage Worlds, so this set is good for that system right out of the box as well,.

i avoided to watch this vid because at first i thought it's a very personal dice set with hour face on it or something.but these look amazing. just ordered a set after watching this. the video itself was a great seller as well :)

I have not played any RPG from 1990. I did preorder your dice anyway. I like the dice and perhaps we will play again! We played DnD Basic about 1982, It was magic! It was only in english, I had to look up every third word in the dictionary. Slow progress. Well it worked! I added French, Spanish and German. I got into the flow.

Just got my set of Seth Skorkowsky Dice set today! They look great and have a great feel and weight to them. The print quality is high too. A bit of a hiccup, as my dice arrived in the US and customs found the box empty. I contacted Q workshop and they sent a second set pronto! They tucked a cool special Q workshop 6 sided die in with the pack. Can't wait to game with them!

Dropping a comment here to say that I ordered the dice, they arrived pretty quickly (I'm based in the UK), the box is nice and easy to open without damaging, so you can still store the dice in there if you wanted to and the dice/box look very nice!
