- Playing Geoguessr with a PROFESSIONAL Geoguessr Player! Today I played Geoguessr with @GeoPeter, one of the best players I have ever seen! Subscribe with notifications 🔔 and check out my other UA-cam channels below! @JackSucksAtLife @JackSucksAtStuff @JackMasseyWelsh @JackSucksAtClips @nocontext
We also recorded a video on his channel: • Challenging Duels agai...
on JackSucksAtGeography we upload a range of easy to watch geography related games. We mainly play Sporcle games like "naming all 197 countries". I successfully learned all 197 countries and plan to learn more Geography trivia. On this channel I also play Geoguessr. This is a game that uses Google Street View to drop you in a random location and you have to work out exactly where you are on the worldwide map. Geoguessr was created in 2013. If you want to see more from Jack he uploads different content to many other UA-cam channels, linked above!

It was so fun playing against you! I was so nervous recording the video for your channel since it was first! :D
Hopefully, we can do more collabs in the future! ^^
Hi Petery!
The outcome was envitable, but the video was still incredibly fun to watch ❤️ :geoPetLove:
I absolutely loved this! Please do more collars with Jack!
How’s the weather in Mbabane?
Petery! I watch you on twitch

While jack is searching it would be interesting if they talked about tips and tricks for playing the game so that Peter has more involvement in the video and we all can learn from the master himself.
Mhm
He can't teach that, it's not as easy as it sounds.
@@TeddyXyZMusic for sure, I just mean it would be good to have some patter and conversation between the two of them. Just describing the techniques like the Google car, power lines, road markings, etc... Obviously you can't teach it all in a few minutes but you can still give people an idea of where to start.
The only problem with that is that jack is saying things about the place and they don’t want Peter to hear
@@djwillcaine hi will caine
I was unaware how much metagaming there was in the professional/speed running side of geoguessr
When I started playing it, I was so sur eI would kick ass at it because I am good with flags, cities & languages. But was constantly getting obliterated by people who know street signs, bollards, telephone poles, and road lines.

Mecánica means mechanic. MEXICANA means Mexican...
Also you didn't see it on the sign but going for Colombia rather than sticking with Argentina was smart, because it said Medellín at 3:15 which is in Colombia (on top of the other Colombia sign at 3:19)
its you again
Oh yes, u and mexico, you know spanish to sell drugs to mexico......
The ending was so well put together
?
Indeed 😂
The city that Brazilian one is in, Macapá, is by the mouth of the Amazon River so it makes perfect sense that the store would be named after it (when I saw the store name, what was going through my mind was it had to be either Manaus or Macapá; and the latter was correct). Plus the main river pretty much only goes through northern Brazil and a bit of Colombia and Peru
Also bruh that second one looks too cold and cloudy to be Mexico. I would've guessed Chile too. And Sarawak is a state on the Malaysian side of Borneo, so I knew it was Malaysia the moment you said it (besides bukit being a Malay word; it means hill)
Omg you know so much i mean it is a huge country difficult to remember everything
you have damn good knowledge,i see you in these type of videos, keep it up
Jack you must play Geoguessr “The 32 Smallest Countries” you should be good at it
As someone who is fluent in Spanish English and Portuguese, the first match had me screaming “NO NO NO THAT BRAZIL ITS LITERALLY IN THE SIGN IS LITERALLY IN PORTUGUESE” 😂😂😂

Isn't it funny how you can instantly recognize your home country just from some road lines and the foliage? "This looks north american". Me: "Nope, definitely Swedish"
8:39 the "oooooo Oooooo" caught me off guard
🤣😂
I may be acting dumb, but how does the Google car help you locate where you are?
different countries have been covered by different cars and if youre nerdy enought you can memorize which cars covered which countries :D
In certain countries the Google car is very recognizable and in those cases that car is often unique to that or very few other countries. For example Guatemalean car shown in the video has those side mirrors that aren't usually visible. That's unique car to Guatemala Kyrgyzstan and for example Faroe Islands (there are some other locations as well, but you get the point).
In Chilean round you can see that "long" white blur in front of the car. That's probably the best giveaway in that round to make sure that you are not in Europe (even tho it's not the most European looking locations :D). If you just play the game a lot and maybe watch some tips and tricks videos, you'll learn basic google car META pretty quickly. Hope this clears it a little bit :)
3:16 says Medellin a city in Colombia
1:12 you can see the signature Portuguese ã which says it’s in a Portuguese speaking country aka Brazil
This was remarkably entertaining, far more than expected. I hope there are more like this.
This video is a banger, absolutely loved it!

(3:01) Uh... "El Rosal"? "Mecánica"? "Mecánica"? Is that said like Mexico or somethin- Oh my gosh everything's changed! Why is everything changed? There was a sign that looked like it said "Mecikó" or something like that there? "Mecánica"? I think that means Mexico? I don't quite know... Ooh!! "LA ARGENTINA"!!! HOOOOOOH!

I was playing one that ended up being in Indianapolis. I was so determined to get it right that i just looked around for a while. It was a great help that there was some marriots, a museum, and street signs, because i was able to place my pin 3 yds from the exact location. If you look for long enough it really helps.
In fifty years we’re gonna be playing Geoguesser 2.0 on Mars 😂
1:02😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
The one on Guatemala was so easy for me because I live there and I knew it ever since I saw the incaparina comercial(incaparina is milk but it’s super famous and everyone drinks ir) also the van said Coban which is a very nice city I the rural area.
also for the Guatemala one I knew it bc of the currency. Im not from there but i learned it in school
i saw the trees the cars and the quetzals (money) and i knew it was guatemala cuz i been there

Uhm, let’s not use that definition yet. A lot more countries have to be involved to make it a world war.
4:34 Sarawak is actually one of the states of malaysia
its basically cheating as he knows all the cars lol
Nah, it’s knowing the meta to get an advantage
@@SievertSchreiber the aim of the game is to guess the country with the surroundings not using the car to know what country you are in. its just cringe that people memerise cars to 'gain an advance'. its not really geo-geoguessr at that point, its just ... look at the car.. its kenya!!
@@nathanr8787 cope
Well, I recognized the cars too, but it's not like you sit there and memorize all the Google cars like you learn for an exam. If you play a lot of GeoGuessr, at some point you'll notice that a characteristic Google car appears in a certain country. And your brain memorizes that, whether you want or not. So, of course, you're not going to be like: "Oh, that's Guatemala, but that would be cheating - so I'm going to guess Mexico..."
Wow I feel happy that you made a video with a Latvian!
“Congrats to everyone who is early and who found this comment”🏆

Imagine being a pro at geogessr XD good job
There it is! The collab I’ve been waiting for!
When I saw it was in Sweden, i thought you needed some tips for Scandinavia
As a Norwegian, i can tell you something.
1. «æ,ø and å» is Norwegian, and its most likely to be in Norway then.
2. Sweden has «ä and ö», wich it said on that truck, so for me that was easy.
3. The Scandinavian countries will likely not have stone houses, since our houses are made too keep warm, not cold.
4. Norway is not in EU, but it has a blue stripe thing on the right side of the lisence plate, but with the Norwegian flag.
5. The Norwegian police is «Politi», and the Swedish is «Polis»
6. Scandinavian grass will most likely be greeny, NOT brown
That’s all i have :)
